Looks like they've lengthen the ride cycle on Delirium by two full swings! -

Doesn't Walmart have these fans in their garden section?? Those fan really blow wind. They'll need them during the morbidly hot summer humid days. -

The Zamperla Giant Discovery is a far superior ride. They don't even feel like the same type of ride (considering visually you would think the experience is essentially the same). I probably won't get back to KD this season, but I want to get back to SFOT just because they are adding a giant discovery. I would love to see Carowinds get one as they are my favorite flat along with a Mondial Top Scan, which Carowinds is getting! That would be a great one two punch flat line up. Sir you are alright with me. I've ridden the Huss versions at Cedar Point and Kings Island and the Mondial at Canada's Wonderland. When I got to experience Black Widow at Kennywood, I instantly fell in love and kicked the others to the curb. I too will be making a trip to SFoT to ride Riddler's Revenge. I hope SFoG gets one as well. That will bring a Zamperla a mere 3.5 hr away. -

My personal opinion, Delirium is a great addition to the park and I love frisbee rides, however Carowinds is my home park and if we get one I'd prefer Zamperla simply because it revolves counter clockwise and clockwise during the cycle. I do love the light package on the seats tho!! -
I'm just concerned at how this will affect the already long wait times in line. Dispatch already takes long especially on the bigger coaster and now we'll have to wait for ride ops to check headsets too. I'm also concerned with people who get motion sickness easily. This just maybe be a messy year for the janitorial staff lol

I made the same observation, although I suppose it will look much taller when the pendulum is in place and swinging to its full height. I have a feeling it's the same height as Psyclone at CW at 75ft. Maxair at CP is 140ft, Delirium at KI is 137ft and Black Widow at Kennywood is 90ft. Idk know how tall Riddler's Revenge will be but it's a Zamperla too the giant version so pretty sure it's way taller than Modial's lol -

Exactly look at the breakdance ride at California Great America.. 1) they placed it in Planet Snoopy.....it's not a kiddie ride 2) they've slowed it so that it's for the kids to ride....when I can go to the fair and ride the exact ride and almost get flung across the midway for it being aggressive. I prefer that version please. I have a hunch Carowinds will do the same with the breakdance ride they are receiving from the tour, However they do have a county fair section so hoefully it goes there with full speed. -

With all the land they own KD could use a good terrain coaster steel or wood in my opinion removing the lowest amount of tress possible, but idk if the land is hilly or not. -

Exactly it just tells me everything is not meant to be the tallest. The cable snap is the only issue I know of, what's the others? Every time I go to CP it's running and I'm on it prior snap post snap lol. Carowinds doesn't need a Skyhawk. I'll take Barnstormer anyday. It's true the Herschend parks nor Kennywood's have never had issues. Maybe it was a maintainance problem on cedar fair's part. -

Now bro you know I'm a die hard for all flats and a screamin swing is one of them as well. The closest one to me is at Dollywood. If Carowinds gets when they have me invested for the next 10yrs lol -

Maybe they'll drop a giant frisbee as well. I'd be in heaven with all these flats. -

Front Seat Vs. Back Seat Coasters.
pproteinc replied to Physical's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
For me on the new woodies and steel coasters the back seat is the place to be and on older coasters depending on the roughness the middle or front seat and way old coaster the front seat. -

Why so? Thats what a park map is for and if youre a regular park goer you should know the layout of Carowinds like the back of your hand it's not a big park land wise. Pretty sure you'll walk up on it with no issues. I wouldnt mind if they didnt announce it and let it be an epic surprise. If they are to announce it, I'm thinking in the next week or two. It's around the time the surprise ride of slingshot was announced last year. -

That would be awesome to go to the park and just walk up on it like where the hell this came from...lol. Like how Beyoncé released her album with no marketing or announcement but everybody and their mother bought it haha. -

I don't think so. It's still in their lineup and they didn't announce any closures. Plus the arms on shockwave are blue vs all white which is shown here. -

Thanks to RideWarrior for the photo ... looks like Carowinds is being sneaky and have a surprise ride for 2016 along with the waterpark expansion and plants vs zombie 3D attractions....looks like a top scan flat like Shockwave at CW! -

^ It's normally the last weekend of March. Im guessing the official date is March 26th and if they do the season pass preview night next year, which i doubt because there's nothing next year really to preview except the plants vs zombie 3d attraction, will be the 25th at 6pm. Yea the acting and shows during that timer were horrid at best lol... I think if they pulled it off now it could be a great shows. The park have stepped up there game with live entertainment. It's not the best but its way better than the yesteryears. -

To speak on the Christmas Event. Carowinds had one back in 2005 I believe during its Paramount days that was called Winterfest and it was pretty much dud. Some rides were open like the Woodstock Gliders which was then Phantom Flyers and Afterburn which then was Top Gun. There was a show called Santa's Toy Factory, the Christmas Parade, and ice skating rink. They also had a Christmas dinner as well. The crowds were just not there to keep it going I guess. My take on it was to keep having it. People live out of habit so it was a habit not to go to Carowinds during the winter and that winter was actually pretty cold for those who are from the south to me it was fine I'm a New Yorker. Charlotte's winters can be very unpredictable. One year can be mild around 60-67 degrees day 30s night up until mid January then snows in late February early March and the next winter could be the same or it could be in the 30s and 40s daytime temps in November and get the good snow late December and January or straight ice storms. When it gets that way the city is pretty much shut down. -

FLP is not in the triple digits. It's 75.00 but with admission you are looking at a total around 116.00 or more
