Best Pendulum Flat Ride?
Kyle Coleman replied to canadianparkfan's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Gotta go with the giant Frisbee on this one. -
Sitting in the airport after a great day at great America. Goldstriker was the reason for the trip and it was well worth. Smooth, fast and aggressive without being rough. It was everything I look for in a wood coaster and now sits at number 3 on my wood coaster list knocking else Toro down a spot(thats right I said it is better than el Toro). Also, ran into a few other tpr members enjoying opening day as well. I was the tall guy in the west coast bash shirt. Fast lane was well worth every penny as it let me get in eleven laps in on goldstriker and that line looked pretty long.

Making my first trip to cga on opening weekend. Goldstiker been on my to do list for a while now. Also, am strongly considering getting a fast lane to avoid the crowds. For those of you who have been on opening day in the past is this a good idea or should I just wait and see what the crowds look like before I spend the money.

Since I couldn't make it for opening weekend going to try sfot again on 3/21 and was wondering if anyone would be able to tell me what I can expect in terms of crowd size. Also, going to be solo on this one so if anyone in the area is going to be around and doesn't mind showing a rookie around feel free to pm me.

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

Wouldn't mind seeing them take a crack at making mean streak not suck. Bout the only thing cedar point is missing is a really good wooden coaster. -
Holiday World (HW) Discussion Thread
Kyle Coleman replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I can only relate my experience from last year and I would imagine things will be more crowded this year due to thunderbirds opening. During last years ert sessions the waits on the coasters were either walk on(and you could stay on if you wanted) for anything except the front or the back and on the water coasters the wait was at most maybe five minutes. I actually did spend all of Saturday at the park and spent the morning in the water park and the afternoon in the dry park and had a nice full day. -
Holiday World (HW) Discussion Thread
Kyle Coleman replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
You are going to love this event. Holidayworld spoils us rotten and has one the best events around everywhere. There is nothing else out there quite like a pitch black voyage ride where you can't even see your hand in front of your face then getting off and getting a free drink and jumping right back in line again. Also, don't forget to bring you swim suit as splashing safari is one of the best water parks in the country. Can't wait to go back again this year for my third year. -

Speedy gonzalez hot rod racers at sfmm during wcb last September. Nearly broke my thighs getting the lap par down but I needed the credit to have a complete sfmm collection. I regret nothing. -

Do parks like us?
Kyle Coleman replied to tarheel1231's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I know at knotts every year for wcb they make sure to go out of their way to tpr to make is feel welcome and they do seem to actually like having us there. Don't know if that is true for every group or just us but knotts seems to be pretty enthusiast friendly. -

Pinball hall of fame has no admission and the games there vary from 25c up to a dollar a play and every one is in pristine perfect working order. If you have the time I would highly recommend you check it out. -

I have to ask being a native of seattle if you managed to go to dicks burgers at any time in your food adventures. If not you missed a local seattle treat. -
