It's a shame this place is closing, but at least the Cyclone isn't leaving. -

Update Year 10 Announcement -
Ike's too far out. It could go anywhere at this point. (at least I hope so) EDIT: Disregard that, I didn't realize how close it was.

Orleans Place Boardwalk is back! After recovering from Hurricane Gustav, Orleans Place Boardwalk construction will continue at full force! Here are some of the things we're working on! Orleans Place Boardwalk has made a special effort to save and restore a classic Arrow roller coaster. With the help of Vekoma, this coaster looks brand new with new supports, new paint, and new hardware! Screwball is the area's first "ball coaster". Eight riders will sit on either side of the track sitting back-to-back in "rotating" cars that will flip, tilt, and spin as the car maneuvers the ride's course. But the ride doesn't stop as enters the station! It will fly right through back up into the vertical section, stopping near the top for some weightlessness! Landry's Seafood House will provide some of the best views of Orleans Place Boardwalk. The restaurant will have two entrances - one from the main boardwalk and one from the boardwalk plaza area. The two story restaurant will be serving up some of the freshest fish on the coast!

That's a good idea. Any suggestions on what the challenge should be? -

Update Year 9 Hola! We are almost to the end of our ninth season! Next year will be our tenth anniversary! Hint Numero Dos: I have to admit - I have invertedly given away a clue. It is in this thread somewhere. The track has already been posted! It was a huge mistake on my part. But can you find it? There are a few rumors out there that say Don Quixote will be leaving us within the coming years. Not true. At the most we could see the ride upgraded for some interactivity. Avispa... will it be the tallest forever? Mas, pronto! -
It turns out you can't add a new poll into an existing thread... AND THEN THERE WERE NONE - TPR SURVIVOR EDITION THIS WEEK WE SAY GOODBYE TO HOMER. Hello there forum goers, it is I, Mr. U. N. Owen. You may know me for killing ten people who escaped punishments for committing their own murders. Or you may just know me for being partially insane. But I know that you know how much I hate liars. Think about it for a second - liars ruin everything! For more information: http://themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=45020 You may know some of these people for their hilarious remarks... their quick-witted replies... or their random trip reports.... It is your job to decide who dies first! Hahaha! Fun, isn't it? Each week a new poll will be posted and you will ultimately choose who dies first and who dies last. Vote for who you want to die! Here's a little information on the people I've captured: Wes Wes has been accused of supplying large amounts of PMW to patrons at amusement parks, and then coaxing them to go into restricted areas to get his hat. CTU Agent Tyler is a sexy stud that girls constantly seem to want to fornicate with. However, most girls eat mayo and if mayo is in their stomach then he will die. As Superman's only weakness is kryptonite, Tyler's only weakness is mayo. That said, Tyler makes Superman look like a little bitch. Chyeah. coasterfreak101 Tyler. Jealousy always did get the best of him. But he can't spork someone in the school cafeteria and claim ignorance. Yelling "Tyler kiiill, Tyler kill goood" as he did it hasn't helped him to plead his case so far. But he can't go to jail - he needs the PMW. Carnage Paul recently founded his own country, Canaba. With his new found dipolomatic imunity, he trades W for P&M. socalMAN123 Brent: The youngest member of the TPR Survivor, he has consistently out-performed people 10 years older than him. The most agile of the contestants, he can prove once again that he can outlast. mcjaco Matt - Protector of EPCOT, dishes out pain with a pleathora of Eric Idle insults, binge drinking, and rides on Iron Wolf. Give him a skunky beer, and face a wrath of evil you'll not likely live through. natatomic As one of only 4 or 5 girls on TPR, natatomic is wanted for not putting out nearly enough, as should be her female duty. She is also wanted for questioning regarding rumors of being a Republican. It all makes sense, now, doesn't it? kraken613 David- A RCT3 addict and is know to build rides that sometimes don't have the people to come back to the station in the same form... hehehe..... "BOOM! 9 peeps have died." mmousefan Joel - TPR`s Mexican Joe, officially the first TPR member in the only upwards peninsula in the world. Ex Disney Cast Member (wich gives him the amazing ability to smile even when people thinks its the first time hes wearing shoes) is maybe not a very known member of the TPR gang but still very competitive and willing to chop some heads from the other side of the rio to get to be the last one surviving; using his natural hability to move from cactus to cactus riding a donkey and drinking tequila. Remember - vote for who you wanted killed off this week!

^ Yeah! It's like they're lined up all the way to Z. That's gotta suck, I got sick during my last trip and took part of the second Epcot day to rest and that about killed me. I can't imagine taking the whole trip like that. Something about feeling like everybody else is at the parks really grinds my gears.

It looks very unique. It looks like it will keep some good speed since there doesn't seem to be a big elevation climb after the initial drop. Speed monster all the way... -

And Then There Were None
coasterdude5 replied to coasterdude5's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
And Then There Were None Chapter 2 - Lost in the Woods The remaining nine attempted to regain some sort of control... Trying to regroup and contemplate what all had just happened, the hopeless group was very shaken. Wondering where to go... The woods stood still as a few birds flew overhead... One man by the name of Justin Wargrave decided to take control. The others were suspicous at first, but they began to realize that they had to work with one another to get back to the bus terminal... or some place of shelter. Wargrave decided that it would be wise to try to find a place of shelter before dusk. The others agreed. Even those who were no longer alive. One person noticed an odd sight - a nearly empty hill. With one dead tree. Then, a loud, roaring voice came from somewhere in the distance: "You are all guilty of murder. You have run from the law for long enough, your time is over." The group began to panic, but John McDonald calmly stated that this was all part of the bus ride - that it was some sort of radical life/death reality experience. The others half-heartedly agreed, trying to calm their own anxieties. The two tour guides knew of no such thing, they had only been hired days before the trip. The group decided to try to get some sleep. Mrs. Elaine Rogers, one of the tour guides, did not wake up. It looks as if she was frightened during her sleep. -

Update Year 9 Hola! I have some hints that I am supposed to deliver to you. Our Year 10 attraction will be announced next week! Hint Numero Uno: I might be small, it depends on who you ask, but I pack a punch. It's been proven many a time! Avispa still dominates this area of the park. But what about this new ride? Could Avispa's reign soon be over? I guess we'll have to wait and see. Mas, pronto! -

Even more... Thanks for reading! Caged in! Ninja looking cool. Alot of advertising is to be seen at this park. Yeah 66! "You should see my night job" Up the spike! (or maybe it's going down, I can't remember) Lots of Papa John's. I really missed riding this... Only hot chicks that scream loudly are allowed on this ride! I like walking under coaster track. I should start a "walkunder" credit list. Big Spin... through the trees! Evel Knievel. I always feel like I'm mis-spelling it. What's that? -

More pictures: I feel like I'm in jail... boob! Two great rides. One picture. There's Mr. Freeze and Boss! It goes fast! Whoosh! So this is where they got that shot from! Lots of Batman shots coming up. You might want to find something else to do if they will bore you. Remember, Asian-Friendly! WALKED ON. Not as good as Dollywood's, but still cool. MAKE IT STOP! PLEASE!!! I'LL PAY MORE FOR MY ICEE! I'LL BUY A SEASON PASS! I'LL BUY 24! Zero-G They've got a big 'ole ferris wheel. This is where b*tchy 14-year-old girls go to complain about stuff. Almost got it. The day is saved! It would've been nice with a train. Everybody and their mom was going up the stairs to comfort the stranded riders. Look I'm on the ground. HAHA They got stuck. What a beauty... And we are here. Nice At first I thought the sign said "Cutpost". Gotta cater to the emo's too! This coaster amazes me, but I'm not sure why. -
That's right! I've been to repeat parks for the past two seasons so I was very happy to be going to a new park for a change. I was scared for a while that 2008 would be the year of no coasters but my parents surprised me with this late birthday trip. The crowds were great, the longest I waited was maybe 30 minutes for Mr. Freeze. Here's a breakdown of the rides: Evel Knievel Great ride! I was very impressed with the first drop. However, it did not surpass Thunderhead. There's something about Thunderhead that Evel Knievel didn't have. Don't get me wrong though, it was a very powerful, smooth GCI. It was a great addition for the park. It was maybe a 5-10 minute wait. Boss I rode it early in the morning and it was incredible. It easily knocked Thunderhead off my number one wooden coaster. The double-down, the second big drop, I was wondering when it was going to stop being awesome! However, the ride murdered my head when I rode it later in the day. It was insane how different the ride was 5 hours later (and I was sitting in the same car). It was a walk on. Screamin' Eagle Nice classic wooden coaster. I wasn't blown away, but I was surprised to see where they stopped the new paint job. It was very tame compared to Boss which I had just stepped off. It was also walk on. Mr. Freeze This ride's launch was insane. However, it was a bit too intense for me (partly because I've got a sinus infection). It left me with a pretty good headache for a while. But the launch and the tower were both great. The wait was about 30 minutes because they were only running one train. Ninja This ride (until the vertical loop ended) was like a trip on Revolution at Libertyland, so it was great to be on an Arrow (yeah, I know about Vekoma) again. It was surprisingly smooth compared to some other Arrows I've been on. Maybe thanks to Vekoma? It was a walk on. Batman After an e-stop kept a train at the top of the lift for a while, the ride finally reopened and I got my ride on it. It was just as good as the one at Great America. The second half still blows me away. It was about a 10-15 minute wait. River King Mine Ride I've rode the other half at Magic Springs so I was looking forward to riding this half of it! It was a standard mine train, nothing to spectacular. Nevertheless, it was a credit! I only had 5 hours at the park, so I didn't get to ride Superman because they were only operating 2 of the 6 cars... Overall, I was very impressed with the park. The staff was about 50-50. Half of them were very happy to be there and were very helpful. The other half looked like they were dead. Didn't really affect my experience, though, so I can't say too much. The park was very clean except for some vomit that I saw... Onto the pictures! Getting closer! Ok, we get it! You make signs! I see Ninja! Very beautiful coaster... "Dey bout to get soaked!" Maybe next time... Why Six Flags... Why? These are the only rides left that actually scare me! Gotta go to the bathroom, BRB. Six Flags has become very Asian-friendly lately in reponse to the problems with the new mascot. I'd probably be dead by this part of the ride. (I hate spinning). It's like one of those obesity news reports on NBC Nightly News. Mr. Freeze... from the other side. Yeah, I made it blurry on purpose. That's what I would have seen if I actually rode the ride. Doesn't somebody like statues on TPR? There is not enough money... Thunder River surrounds Mr. Freeze. According to Timothy McNuttball in front of me in line, the river is made of water that has melted off of Mr. Freeze. I'm glad they didn't paint there's red. IT MAKES NO SENSE. Who wants ice cream? This park has two very large circular plazas. I like circular plazas. I bet they look like giant boobs from the air. From this angle, I could be in Dollywood for all I know! Aw, it's just a GCI Aquatrax? Ah, what do we have here? Sundries, lol. Six Flags wants you to know that you DO have friends. This was about as crowded as it got.

I am on the way to St. Louis right now and I have lost count of how many empty buses I have seen on 55 heading south.
