"Beer cans to the ceiling
Ashtray on the floor
Laundry on the sofa
Need I say more?
I walked out with my hair wet
I caught one awful cold
Should have been more careful
Should have done what I was told."
"Peter Pan" by James McMurtry
^Hmm--the last time I was at Disneyland for opening, all they had was the band performing in front of the train station and some of the characters greeting people. That was a few years back, though.
That's exactly what we thought: https://www.holidayworld.com/holiblog/any-peeps-wanting-see-other-mammoth-boats
I never even saw that blog post. Here's your chance to add Easter to your holiday lineup.
I've always thought of Hersheypark as a very attractive "traditional" park--unless you count "chocolate" as its overall theme.
This isn't a criticism. I like this park quite a bit.
I have no problem with taking an area that's dead most of the time and making something better out of it. I do remember when there were regular "big band" performances at the old Plaza Gardens back when I was in high school.
It is nice that you can drink a "pint" while watching a show set in a pub.
Halloween events are the only times I've noticed any substantial problems with drunks at parks--go figure.
^I remember visiting the park on a slow day a year or two back with someone who'd never ridden DarKastle. So, we decided to let people pass us in line while we watched the preshow video. A CM actually used the PA system to tell up to keep moving, which I found to be a bit bizarre.
