^I know that Stunt Coaster has had some issues with "valleying" this season (oddly enough, with the white train).

Every time a new ride is built, "soft opening" rumors sprout like dandelions. Worth repeating. I don't recall BGW "soft opening" anything, and I've lived in Williamsburg since the mid-1980s. This is not to say that it won't happen, I just wouldn't count on it. But if you're there and they give you the chance to experience Verbolten early, go for it.

We also lost Jonathan Frid, aka Barnabas Collins from the original Dark Shadows. But will he ever, truly "rest in peace"?

And TPR was the first group to ride that new DiskO. But the flume had yet to be built.

I agree completely regarding Dole Whip. Waffle cone sundaes do, indeed, seem to be a bigger deal at BGW than at other parks I've visited, but you can get "regular" ice cream there, too.

Both KD and BGW offer soft serve.

^Saturdays are usually quite busy, and "Ramp Jam" will be going on this weekend, too.

Having the ride ops wear orange jumpsuits or prison guard uniforms is clever. It's good to hear that they may have made an SLC more rideable, anyway.

At least she appears to have some sort of plan. I wish her well.

Well, that was an "interesting" series of posts. Here's an interesting little tidbit from the "Inside Busch Gardens" blog. But the store is now "Sham ROCK"! At least your journey on Europe in the Air starts in Ireland, and you can now purchase actual Guinness in the pub. Plus, there's the Celtic Fyre show, where you can also buy Guinness.

Fuji Q is an anomaly among Japanese parks (only Cosmoworld rivals it for slow operations). Their new Eurofighter does look good, though.

In all fairness the Harmon tower has a major structural flaw, not that they couldn't finish it or ran out of money, it simply didn't pass inspection and now must be torn down. But at least they didn't run out of money. They just didn't spend it very wisely.

They must've had a good crane operator to pull that off. It's not too surprising that the Boardwalk would use protable versions of flats--this is fairly common at some European amusement parks, too. I'm not a flat ride person, so it isn't a big deal to me. I'm more interested in coasters, dark rides, and walk-through attractions.

^We'll see. There were guys working on the bridge last weekend, and a crane was still parked next to it. Maybe there's more material waiting to be hauled up.

^The concept art implies that there's more to be done; then again, there's "concept" and there's "reality." Time will tell. I'd like to see them enclose the bridge a bit more.
