  1. I'm glad that Bruce the Shark has found a permanent home. He's always been a popular photo op.
  2. I second Larry's thanks. Manta should be a nice addition to Sea World.
  3. "Beer cans to the ceiling Ashtray on the floor Laundry on the sofa Need I say more? I walked out with my hair wet I caught one awful cold Should have been more careful Should have done what I was told." "Peter Pan" by James McMurtry
  4. ^Don't you mean "THE" You Tube?
  5. ^Hmm--the last time I was at Disneyland for opening, all they had was the band performing in front of the train station and some of the characters greeting people. That was a few years back, though.
  6. ^^I take that you're referring to, for example, calling Griffon "The Griffon"?
  7. I particularly like the "old school" mural.
  8. All the insane lighting makes it look like one of the gaudier parts of Tokyo. Did they have some good dark rides?
  9. Wild Eagle's top speed was a bit over 60 mph, as I recall. Rcdb.com gives an estimated speed of 55 mph for X Flight.
  10. That's exactly what we thought: https://www.holidayworld.com/holiblog/any-peeps-wanting-see-other-mammoth-boats I never even saw that blog post. Here's your chance to add Easter to your holiday lineup.
  11. ^The seatbacks look like Peeps. That's a very interesting looking raft, which should help increase capacity.
  12. ^I agree that Bobbejaanland is better overall than Walibi--lots of good, quirky attractions. The dark ride is the best reason to visit Walibi.
  13. ^Same. The toys were after my time, and I haven't seen any of the movies. But the ride looks intriguing.
  14. The sets in the queue and the ride itself look excellent.
  15. Me neither. And based on the 24 seconds of the video I watched, I'll continue not to hear of her. But to each his or her own.
  16. It sounds like the drop section is like a smaller version of Mystery Tower at Phantasialand.
  17. I've always thought of Hersheypark as a very attractive "traditional" park--unless you count "chocolate" as its overall theme. This isn't a criticism. I like this park quite a bit.
  18. This sounds like Cedar Fair's version of ElecTRONica.
  19. ^^Thanks for the "blow-by-blow" description of Sub-Terra--an attraction that seems to have some potential.
  20. I have no problem with taking an area that's dead most of the time and making something better out of it. I do remember when there were regular "big band" performances at the old Plaza Gardens back when I was in high school.
  21. It is nice that you can drink a "pint" while watching a show set in a pub. Halloween events are the only times I've noticed any substantial problems with drunks at parks--go figure.
  22. ^I remember visiting the park on a slow day a year or two back with someone who'd never ridden DarKastle. So, we decided to let people pass us in line while we watched the preshow video. A CM actually used the PA system to tell up to keep moving, which I found to be a bit bizarre.
  23. Anyone who prefers Dorney to Knoebels has "issues." But to each his or her own.
  24. But it's odd! And disturbing! Yet it makes sense.
