  1. Sorry guys- I just have such a full schedule, I won't be able to compelete something in the time provided. Someone else may go.
  2. I truly hope Cedar Fair doesn't buy the Six Flags parks. I personally think they'd ruin some of the nice ones. Let me just show you an example Six Flags Great America - Whizzer would be removed- Cedar Fair wouldn't want to touch it. - More concrete... yay. Cedar Fair has no true idea of landscaping, and SFGAm already has good landscaping. - The woodies would suck. Take a look at Cedar Fair's woodies: Thunderhawk- good, ruined by brakes, Mean Streak- sucks, Ghostrider- really, really rough, etc. But look at Six Flags' woodies. Viper, Texas Giant, The Comet, Texas Cyclone, American Eagle, etc. They are all cared for and still fun and amazing woodies. - The themes would be taken down even more. You can still see the nice atmosphere in many of the lands at SFGAm, such as: Southwest Territory, Hometown Square, Orleans Place, County Fair, and Mardi Gras. I highly doubt we'd get anymore themed attractions, and the quality of the themes would go downhill. - The atmosphere would be ruined. Six Flags Great America has one of the best park atmospheres anywhere. I just have a good time everytime I go, and I feel like I'm not in the real world. Cedar Point just didn't have that type of atmosphere, and, let me say, it was very dissapointing.
  3. Many more updates have been made to Autumn Amusements. Please view the official website of Autumn Amusements here to discover more!http://autumnamusements.blogspot.com/ Soar with Aviator! New at Autumn Amusements is Aviator, a totally new type of ride. Featuring fourteen two-passenger glider-style cars, Aviator provides a different type of ride experience than any seen before. Riders begin spinning, then are lifted to the top of a 100 ft. tall tower. Riders then can control their own movements by using a joystick located in the car. The joystick controls the wings on the glider, allowing movement. Riders can either climb or dive, depending on their wishes. This allows riders to pick their own experience, whether it be intense or relaxing. "Aviator is just a great addition to our park," said CEO Corey Roberts. "It provides a fun experience in combination with a great view of the amazing park below." Aviator has a 42 inch height requirement, allowing many guests of the park to ride. "At Autumn Amusements, we are dedicated to providing a fun yet relaxing atmosphere," said Head of Operations Katy Crawford. "You can rest assured that we will provide a new experience very soon." There is a clue located somewhere in the depths of the blog that may provide some help in finding out what the latest addition at Autumn Amusements may be. Hint: Look closely at the photographs only at the blog site.
  4. I love Six Flags Great America- all around it's a great park. The coasters are great, the employees are friendly, and the atmosphere is just awesome. I always have a great time when I go.
  5. For Immediate Release: Autumn Adventures is pleased to introduce Wildcat, a brand new wooden roller coaster. Wildcat, built by Great Coasters International features a twisted 110-foot drop. It also includes an amazing turn over a river, a large "double twist" element and three airtime hills. "We're very happy with this ride," said CEO Josh Brighton. "People have been loving this ride. It's one of the top wooden coasters in the world!" "We are always dedicated to having the best rides in the world, and I'm sure people will have a soaking good time with out next addition," said PR Agent Zoe Anderson Autumn Adventures is a park located outside Chicago, Illinois, and feautures an amazing forest atmosphere along with wild rides. Autumn Adventures is open from March 1-November 31. Full size photos are located at: http://photobucket.com/albums/y150/pvcoasterguy/Autumn%20Amusements/
  6. I was looking through the scenery in RCT3 (or lack of) and noticed some really nice looking trees. I thought, "Well, it's autumn, and a really nice park could be make with just the natural scenery." So, ladies and gentlement, I present to you Autumn Adventures. Yes, it's another "realistic building" park. However, it's a great idea, so I'm using it also. Note: Full size pictures are located here: http://photobucket.com/albums/y150/pvcoasterguy/Autumn%20Amusements/ What could be going here? The photobucket shot has a little more of the picture that may reveal something. A view of the entrance area A view from the ferris wheel
  7. I'm loving these "realistic RCT" parks. I just may have to do one also! The park looks very nice. The Scream colors are remarkably accuracate, and Batman's queue reminds me of the real thing- excellent job!
  8. Done! I built Iron Wolf, an old-school B&M stand-up. (No, it's not exactly alike the real Iron Wolf, just similar.) I was having issues with putting the screenshot in the post. Now it's in the zipped folder along with the download. Official Theme Park Review Park 10-5-05 V1.zip Next up!
  9. ^I didn't think TTD had much airtime at all. It's still a great ride, even without the airtime. Anyways, here are my nominations: Wood: Viper, Outlaw (only in front/back cars), American Eagle (front car forwards, back car backwards.) Steel: Superman: Ride of Steel (SFNE), ShieKra (back car), Raging Bull (Back few cars.)
  10. Looks nice! You definatly captured the essence of one of the more "ghetto" Six Flags parks (which is good for this project!)
  11. Kind of ghetto? Yes. Cool? Yes. I love these kinds of parks. It's just a ton of fun to sit down and screw around with Roller Coaster Tycoon. And the beauty of it is that you never know what's going to come of it! It could be a ghetto park or something totally different.
  12. Um... who's going? I think that zaneymom should wait until coasterdude finishes to begin. Remember, only one person can work on this at a time! We just need to get organized to make this project become a success (which it already is!)
  13. Here it is... a screenshot of the coaster is on page seven of this topic (there are only minor variations from that.) Official Theme Park Review Park- 10-2-05.zip Next!
  14. Sorry, I didn't even see that you were working on it! I'll just wait, save my track design with scenery and put it in. Anyways, here's what it looks like.
  15. Work in progress... I'll have it done sometime tonight!
  16. I hated it. But seriously, I didn't think it was intresting at all! It was more like "Family Vacation Challenge" than a race! I watched the Amazing Race for the international stuff, and the amazing challenges and barriers that the teams went through. This version just doesn't do anything for me, and my family seemed to agree.
  17. I really like the Arrow Hydroflumes- the jump at the bottom of the drop is pretty insane, and there are only a few Hydroflumes left. (Either the jump has been removed or the enitre ride is gone.) So, Yankee Clipper/Ice Mountain Splash at Six Flags Great America has a dear place in my heart. You also can't beat racing Logger's Run in the middle part of the ride, and, when the rides are timed together, the dueling drops are pretty neat. But, all the water rides at IoA are awesome, and I'm a huge fan of Dudley.
  18. ^ But in a park with so many great things going for it, I don't think that this one ride adds up to much. I mean, Universal has Dueling Dragons, The Hulk, Spiderman, The Cat in the Hat, etc. That's enough for me, and this one mess-up is okay.
  19. ^^ No, I forgot about that. But, you'd think that the ride would be one of continous movement. (No stops in the station.)
  20. I calculated the hourly capacity- its not bad, almost as good as Dueling Dragons or The Hulk. If only 42 of the 52 cars arer operating, and 80 (w/single riders), the ride would have a 1680 pph capacity, assuming that the ride is three mintues long. However, if the ride was running perfectly, it would have a 2080 pph capacity.
  21. Very nice! I wish Disney built some of these rides rather than Star Tours (ick!)
  22. The stand-up coaster is really nice looking! This is probably going to turn out to be a great park!
  23. I really like Storm- a great stand-up design! Also, the wooden coaster is pretty cool.
