The Official "Animal Crossing: Wild World" Thread!

Make sure that you're close to the router. Nintendo says that other wireless products such as cordless phones, wireless mice, wireless keyboards, and even cell phones can prevent the signal from being picked up by the DS. Anyways, I haven't gotten to go to anyone's town! No one is on when I am! However, I'll probably be on today a few times... maybe I'll open my gates. I have a ton of apple trees that are almost always in bloom. I tried to plant a coconut tree today- hopefully it grows! Nooks N' Go is really good. I has a lot more products, so I could finally get my slingshot and axe. -

^^ I do... newspapers write for a business. Shouldn't they check for errors multiple times? Anyways, nice find, cfc. I didn't think about that... Anyways, the English language is so silly at times. Ooh, let's make two correct ways to spell "theater" to make us look smarter. "Theater/theatre" are both correct spellings. -

I'm still waiting for my Nintendo Wi-Fi thingy. However, I did pay off my first loan to Nook! My house will be expanded by tomorrow. Anyways, I'm looking forward to see the towns of other TPR'ers... I be buring some items for when I get the Wi-Fi working! -

My angry letter to Universal Orlando
pvcoasterguy replied to BarryH's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm thinking perhaps this 'person' is trying to be in character with the ride's theme. I mean, after all, you can hear one of the agents (recorded) yelling, "C'mon rookie, get in- times a' wastin'!" I wouldn't have taken offense to this relatively small remark, even if it was a little out of line, or whatever you think. Fact is, the ride simply isn't as fun if you don't have other trainees with you. I think the employee was trying to express this fact by using the character that they are supposed to protray. While it may be deemed offensive to some, this is a very, very minor incident. Hey, at least you got your highest score... guess you work good when you're offended. -

I just picked up my copy yesterday. Unfortunately, our router at our house simply doesn't work with the DS. Don't know why; it simply doesn't. However, I ordered a Nintendo Wi-Fi thingy for the computer, which will transmit a signal specially for the Nintendo DS. I'm loving the game right now; hopefully I'll get the connection up and running! -
Nice TR! That McDonald's looks awesome, but there's one in Chicago, near Rainforest Cafe and Hard Rock Cafe that is really awesome too. It used to be really crappy a year ago, but they demolished it, and made it a million times better. They first floor, which is themed (yes, themed!) to the history of Chicago is nice. But, you go up the escalator (yes, escalator) to the second floor, and it's simply amazing. Half of the area feels nothing like a McDonald's- leather seats, armchairs, couches, real swanky. It feels more like a five star hotel than a McDonalds. Then you move on to the other side of the second floor, and there are several little areas themed to the decades, starting with the fifties, ending with the new millenium. There is appropriate furnature for each (think the hand chairs, chairs that hang from the ceiling, the egg-shaped chairs,) a time line goes around the entire area. The opening of both Disney parks is acknowledged on the time line. A time capsule is in each area.

Jose, I wasn't very impressed with Magnificent Desolation 3D. It seemed really lacking to me. Spacestation 3D was considerably better (we've had both films at our theatre.) -

I work at our local IMAX theatre. A couple of points: - Those 3D glasses look really crappy. The ones that we use at our IMAX theatre are very costly and they are reused (they are put through a huge sanitation machine for ten minutes, though.) They're made by Polaroid/3M and they're very nice and clear. We even got some new ones about a month ago that are even more clear. It's amazing to see The Polar Express 3D at our theatre- the clarity is amazing. I love IMAX! - It's real sad that the film was dirty. However, I have to wonder why the film was dirty. The IMAX projection system can self-clean itself while in use, preventing what happened to you. - I've never heard of an IMAX ride- could you tell us what it is exactly? -
The US schools aren't any better at all... Our school gets the crap shipped in from the USDA. The food is not healthy by any means, and usually isn't very good.

Roller Coaster Queues
pvcoasterguy replied to kk's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Let's see: Good: Dueling Dragons and Revenge of the Mummy (those are given.) In addition, I like: Batman: The Ride (usually they have good music going, and the line moves lightning fast at Great America,) some of Giant Drop's. In addition, King Chaos (SFGAm) has a nice, long, shaded overflow, but it's never used. Bad: American Eagle. The tent is nice, but, after that, it's a little too claustrophobic and has way too many fences. Twister: Ride it Out at USO. The outside portion is really crappy. Roaring Rapids (SFGAm) too high off the ground, in the blazing sun. Yankee Clipper (SFGAm) the switchbacks are very narrow, but otherwise, not too bad. Ugly: Raging Bull. Going through two huge queue houses with stinky people is not real fun. Superman: Ultimate Flight (SFGAm). Switchbacks are very close; the long straightaway is awful. Rajun' Cajun (SFGAm). A wild mouse queue with no shade. Yikes. There are an abundance of bad queues. -

Nice TR! I wish I lived closer to a park... the closest park to me is a three hour drive away (both Adventureland and Six Flags Great America are that far away from me.) But, luckily, I get to go to a great (if not the best) Six Flags park. -

Yeah... that ride looks really bad. Did anyone else notice how unbanked some of the turns on that ride were? They were almost flat turns, even during a fast portion of the ride! While this looks brutal, I think Manhattan Express may beat it out. -

^^ Nope, Adventureland's Dragon has lovely Hopkins trains, with no padding and little room to move. The seats are very awkward, and it feels like there's some sharp rod poking into your spine. -
Meh... we only got four or five inches last night. However, for the past week, the temperature has never gotten above twenty degrees. All night, it's below zero. Totally freezing.

Rent Rating: 5/5 I really enjoyed the movie. I had never seen the musical and I had never heard any of the music. I was amazed at this movie. It's one of the few movie that makes the viewer feel 'in touch' with the characters' emotions. I was blown away by the awesome music. Overall, this is exactly what I like to see when I go to a movie. A catchy, hip, new, yet different movie. This was it. All of the people who I went with (we all work at an IMAX theatre) agreed. We all loved it. Great show.
