TPR Facebook Page Cover Photo Contest
DougMJr replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'll definitely be submitting something for this. My favorite design out of the examples posted is the Universal one. I like the idea of one design element such as a photo being easily switched out to highlight major events on the forum. If this is anything like the front page re-design we will have some really great submissions! -

^ I do agree that the slides can be a little brutal. Not sure what can be done to fix that. -

^Raging rapids is the tall pair of mat slides correct? Both were working in August when I went last season. -
Age restrictions on rides?
DougMJr replied to andre8's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I guess I understand the age restriction based on themeing... but for the most part I don't think there should be age restrictions. Really, teenagers cause the most problems at the parks. -
^Going through it now. Looks pretty Amazing. Also, your stateroom looks like it is in a similar area to ours. We are also going to be overlooking central park. Glad I read that TR. We were going to sign up for the comedy show, but may opt for something else instead as it seems pretty hit or miss. I am going to be so fat after this cruise! All that food! So far it looks like we will be doing the Alpine Coaster, the "waterpark" (part of combo), and I'll be doing Dragon's Breath in Labadee. In Jamacia the Zip-Line tour and Dunn-River Falls. And in Cozumel Xel-Ha Park.

Thanks for the feedback guys! So right now I'm think I'll try to work out a way to do Dragon's Breath and the Alpine coaster in Labadee, The Canopy Zip Line Tour and Alpine coaster in Jamacia, and The Ruins tour in Cozumel. I'm not going with a big group, but if I can find some people on the cruise that are interested I'll try to get FlowRider ERT. Looking over the PTR of the TPR trip on Freedom Of The Seas makes me really excited for this opportunity. This is my first cruise and that TR has helped me understand life on board! If you guys have any other advice for me please let me know. I think I have the cruise basics down. You know, use hand sanitizer, get the soda package, bring a first aid kit, ect... If there is any obscure thing you think will improve my cruise please let me know. Thanks again guys!

I have been given the opportunity to go on a cruise with a friend's family. We will be going on a Western Caribbean Cruise sailing on the Allure Of The Seas departing May 12th. This is an awesome opportunity for me as I cannot afford a cruise on my own. What I am having difficulty with is deciding what excursions to participate in while at port of call, specifically Labadee. I really want to try the "Dragon's Breath" Zip-Line. It seems like a real thrill and I know I will regret not doing it if I pass it up. However, my friend who has been to Labadee before told me that there is two hours of waiting and safety briefings and that ultimately it was kind of a let down. His suggestion is that we do the Alpine Coaster / Water Park excursion instead. Then, at Falmouth Jamaica, do the Zip-Line tour and Dunn-River Falls excursion combo. So I guess my question is, is Dragon's Breath worth it? Also, if you have any other advice about what to do at ports of call and on the ship please let me know. One last thing, do you suggest paying the extra money for a early-morning lesson on the FlowRider? I have never surfed in my life and wonder how helpful it will be. Thanks. -Doug Mandell

If anyone is having trouble with their results (I.E. telling you that you lost when you won), try clearing your cache. I had this problem and Real Art programmer NICKAE was very helpful and we figured it out. Also, circa71 on twitter (and on the forums) got a shot of Nicole and I fighting on the Real Art control screen. -

^I'm stuck at 18min. So any clue on how this works? Are the actors in the suits given commands on a screen and they just act them out? -

I'm currently at 2. Hopefully I will not get booted! EDIT: My first fight kinda was a #FAIL It glitched out on me and would not let me fight. It didn't even give me a loss. The window remained open and I could watch the fight cam. Anyway, here is the vid of The first fight. Even though it glitched out on me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJ2j-JOe6p8 I think it is funny that the ro-bros are just people in robot suits. -

I think it is a great idea. Hopefully the trains will get some TLC and a makeover to make them fit into the theme more. I think if they hire somebody clever to design and paint Gemini's trains it would be able to work its way into the theme. -

^I'm not all like "OMFG MegaUploads was shut down, so unfair." What I'm mad about is that the US did this to a company based in another country claiming the servers in VA gave them jurisdiction. I don't understand that. A raid on the VA servers seems acceptable, but how does that give them Juristiction elsewhere? -

No doubt in my mind this this is going to get bad. There have been ddos attacks over less. Wonder what is going to happen now. Somebody is probably getting their botnet ready. -
I like the indoor waterpark idea as there appears to be enough room around the hotel for such expansion. Actually I recall hearing rumors of a possible indoor waterpark a couple years ago. I would love to see some theming at mind eraser. There are some nice looking SLC's out there and this could be one of them. I guess they don't need to remove motocoaster. I just hate that they just plopped it on top of the pool. It really doesn't even look perminant. It is a decent family coaster though.
