Hopefully things will improve in the next couple of years, this seems like the first year HFC is really in control of the park. I feel a change in atmosphere is needed, then focus on rides. Is it just me or does anyone else want to see them bring the beach back? I look at old photos and I feel like that would be beneficial for the campground section of the park.

I should be able to get the New Darien Lake attractions because I was planning to go and take my DSLR on opening weekend anyway. -

It does look slow, do you think that it was intended to operate at a faster launch speed? -

From CP's FB. winterphotomeanstreak.jpg "I remember I went when I was younger and my Dad had to hold me down in the seat because the lap bar hit his legs before mines and on the first hill I was actually floating for a sec before he grabbed me and pinned me be to the seat for hte rest of the ride. My retarded self thought it was a blast and asked to go again smdh..." How stupid! He thinks Mean Streak has airtime! -
TPR Facebook Page Cover Photo Contest

^^I actually prefer the original. And that last one is very busy. Anyway, worked on this design a little more. But going to start over and try something different. Original Removed Images, just the shapes now. Background image if desired. -

I agree, it seems a little off balance. Perhaps just a background image switch is all that is needed to remedy that. -

But because that image is not clickable, the user still has to search the FB page for the link or search the forum. I guess I'm just saying why draw attention to an event that is a month old and not give users an easy way to get there. That said, I still love your design, I'm just thinking of people who may not be familiar with the TPR website or facebook. -

While I think the rotating images look very nice, I do have two concerns. 1) They can not be links, there is no way to click on that "hotspot" and take you to the corresponding post or TR. Not a huge deal, but still something to keep in mind. May confuse some people. 2) Images may be redundant, only because the TPR facebook already posts to the latest and greatest happenings on the forum... Although, the rotating images are sort of like a headline, drawing people in. It can go either way for me. -

^I love the idea! Just got home from college and had a little time, made a couple slight changes to my current design. Going to start working on something different until I get some feedback on this one from Robb and others. Slight Changes I like this simple design, but everyone seems to like a changeable image, so I'll incorporate that into my next design. -

Had some free time today so I'd thought I'd have a little photoshop fun. I kinda went for a more minimal, artistic theme this time. The Design Without "profile" box Mockup on facebook -

Here is one idea I had. Kinda illustrating the point that TPR is a worldwide community. I'm going to start over on a different design however. One that fits the TPR "theme" more. Thought I'd share this though, -
Today we were assigned another project in my flash production class. As I opened my textbook to the page I noticed something very interesting. The project in the textbook is to re-create the real Seabreeze website in flash. This looks real. I navigated to the Seabreeze website and looked at the source code, and the site is no longer written in flash. I did some more digging and went to archive.org and used the "wayback machine" to view the website in 2008, which was then written in flash. The textbook company is "Against the Clock." I looked them up and they are from Florida. I just thought it was interesting that a college textbook would use one of my local park's website not just as an example, but for an entire project! This will probably be my favorite project this semester. Just thought I'd share this with the forum.
