http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-09-13/apple-s-wozniak-hopes-iphone-photos-beat-his-samsung-galaxy-s.html ^Thought it was interesting, Woz's take on the iPhone 5 announcement and stuff. -

This may be true, I still like the idea though. I think it would have connected with families more and has more of that "warm fuzzy" factor that sticks with people. Doesn't matter anyway, what's done is done I suppose. I would love it if they incorporated the "Peanuts Family" more in future adverts or things on their facebook page. They have the brand, honestly they should use it more. -

^Perhaps the sand helped with that. Gave it a small "crumple zone" if you will. -

If I was in charge of the pre-hype marketing I would have stressed family. For example, instead of the "breaking records" space ship I would have opted for a simple picture of Linus, Lucy, and Rerun standing next to each other with a hint to 2013. Subtle, but appropriate as the three are siblings. Continue it on with another picture of Charlie and Sally, then Snoopy with his siblings (Spike, Belle, Andy, Marbles, Olaf). But whatever, spaceships are cool too. I'm good with the addition. -
Yup, Troll got it! Your Turn!

Great update. Yay for real Vekomas! Not sure what I'd be more excited about if I was there. My Crystal Wings credit or my first "squatting toilet" credit. Interesting and informative. Thank you. -

I really hope Apple gets back on the cutting edge. Because I love the quality of their products, especially OSX. Easily the best operating system out there. They just need to take risks again. Make that product that I didn't even know I wanted. Also, if they could stop the everybody (including schools and grocery stores) for copyright and patent infringement that would be cool. -
Just going to throw in a clue because nobody got it today. It is not the new iphone. In fact, it is not an electronic device at all. But it is meant to be in your hand.

I was hoping that this release would be the thing to make me switch back to iOS (bought a Galaxy S3 when my iphone crapped out). Unfortunately that didn't happen. I feel that this will be a big year for Android devices, as they are getting closer to Apple in terms of user friendliness. -

Honestly, even if it was possible to build around it I'm sure they would have taken it down. With WindSeeker there SS was kind of redundant. Probably not worth the maintenance costs. -

I'm not sure how the Space Spiral's ride mechanics worked... but why when the base was blown did the cables holding the cabin not break and cause the cabin to fall? -

I agree that the Planet Snoopy Expansion is a very good thing, and it is needed for sure. I just find it funny that they hyped thrill and record breaking when, in my opinion, this qualifies as neither. It will be a great thing for the park, keeping it well rounded and having something for everyone. -

Don't get my wrong, I'll all for advertising it and letting families know. However, I consider this kind of a made up record. -

^I agree... it seems a pretty deceiving, the record part. It is a very specific record. The worlds largest Peanuts themed Kid's area. If it was the worlds largest Kid's area I'd get it, but it really just means the largest out of the Cedar Fair parks. -

Awesome video! It would have been awesome if they somehow managed to put a GoPro in the cabin and managed to get a POV of sorts. RIP Space Spiral. -
Coaster Types and Capacity
DougMJr replied to Solipsisto's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^Bullet Coaster at happy Valley is a launch coaster with four across. www.rcdb.com/9442.htm?p=35912 It would be cool to see more 4 across Intamin trains though. -
I'm sure they will have both options. And it doesn't look like any new hardware is needed by the park to use it. Instead of you printing out the bar code it is on your phone. The only issue is scanning a screen can sometimes be gimmiky. tried one of those "digital keychain" apps for my store loyalty cards and sometimes it wouldn't work (specifically at self checkout).
