Camelot Theme Park UK Closes Forever

Kinda bummed, I have have always thought Knightmare looked like a fun, unique coaster. It's sad to see any park close its doors. -
Kings Dominion (KD) Discussion Thread

I would be a little upset if they put the axe to Vortex as it looks like a pretty fun ride and I haven't gotten the chance to go to Kings Island yet. However, I have no desire to ride Anaconda again. -
Truly tragic! I can't imagine how a parent could put their kid in that type of danger! Forget the dogs for a second, there was a 10 ft. drop on the other side of that railing! My thoughts are with the rest of the boys family, the Zoo Staff, and everyone who witnessed such a tragic event. -Doug "It is sad to see when lack of common sense ends in tragedy" Mandell

What is your next park?
DougMJr replied to onewheeled999's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Possibly Busch Gardens Tampa. I have family in Tampa I can stay with, all depends on the finances now. -

Favorite Defunct Roller Coaster/Ride

Never got a chance to ride Big Bad Wolf, but Verbolten is excellent! Not the most intense ride out there, but it is a very very fun coaster. -

Hydra has it's first riders!
DougMJr replied to jarmor's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I rode Hydra for the first time last month. It was fun, I enjoyed the jojo roll and appreciated its unique layout... But I'll take Dominator any day of the week. -

One thing Mean Streak has going for it is that it is IMO very beautiful looking. It would be more beautiful with bright red RMC Iron Horse track on it. Hopefully Cedar Point reconsiders and lets RMC get their hands on it! -

Speed: The Ride at the Sahara. It's not in my top 10 but it was the best coaster on the strip! -

I really hope I get the chance to ride a brakeman woodie some day, the POV looks really awesome. -
Worst "Customer Service" Park

The workers in the Adventuredome in Las Vegas were just some of the most unenthusiastic people I have ever met. Maybe I was there on a bad day. -
Silver Dollar City (SDC) Discussion Thread

^I've seen it referred to as both... but after searching the site I realized that RMC is the more popular and correct abbreviation. I'll use RMC when referencing it in the future. -
Silver Dollar City (SDC) Discussion Thread
DougMJr replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^Agreed 100% It is kind of interesting to see how the years of construction and repair experience of RMCC has really paid off! They have even been able to make Predator at Darien Lake pretty bearable. Outlaw Run is the beginning of a new breed. -
I'm just glad that the top hat loop is a thing now. You know why? Because whoever decides to build the next one will probably take the concept and further realize its potential. Not unlike the non-inverting loop. Rip Ride Rockit led to Shock at Rainbow MagicLand, and the Premier took the element and used it on SUF. I'm just such a huge fan of the concept.

RMCC is what I love about B&M and Intamin in one company. B&M's reliability and Intamin's ability to push the envelope! If they keep it up I can see them becoming a really big player in the industry. -

Ghost Flames and that blue color! Just wow! -
2012 is the first year where I've had enough credits to justify making a top ten list. So here it goes. Steel: 1. i305 (Kings Dominion) 2. Maverick (Cedar Point) 3. Millennium Force (Cedar Point) 4. Dominator (Kings Dominion) 5. Top Thrill Dragster (Cedar Point) 6. Hydra (Dorney Park) 7. Griffon (Busch Williamsburg) 8. Verbolten (Busch Williamsburg) 9. Apollo's Chariot (Busch Williamsburg) 10. Ride of Steel (Darien Lake) Wood: (I only have 10 wood credits, so here are the top 5.) 1. Silver Comet (Martin's Fantasy Island) 2. Giant Dipper (Belmont Park, San Diego) 3. Blue Streak (Cedar Point) 4. Predator (Darien Lake) 5. Rebel Yell (Kings Dominion) I'm thinking next year these lists are going to change dramatically!

17/24, Which I think is pretty good for me considering I'm mostly familiar with the US coasters. Mostly process of elimination. -
Manhatten Express's layout is strange. I understand it is because it is built around a casino but still. It tries to be a hyper, it tries to be a looper, and does neither well.

This isn't my favorite project for next year... but I'll still be watching construction updates daily. Kinda a CP fanboy I guess. Should be a fun ride.
