  1. ^^Chris I can't believe I missed you at ECB! After playing TPR quest I'm hooked. I'm saving and hopefully will be on the TPR trip next year!
  2. Beautiful. Set the picture of the heartline roll as my phone wallpaper. I really need to find a way to get to SDC next year.
  3. ^^Happy to see things are on track. Their passion for the project is really showing in the results.
  4. I rode Grizzly at ECB and found it very enjoyable, unlike Hurler. Not too rough, semi decent layout.
  5. Like the demo' pics. I can't believe it is finally going away. That is valuable real estate up there and I'm excited to see what they do with it. RIP Disaster Transport!
  6. All these clues make a wing rider very plausible, but there have been times where I was positive it must be a certain ride/coaster and it turnes out to be the opposite. Either way, I haven't been to CP in a few years and hopefully this will be something to justify going back there next year.
  7. ^I'm not too concerned about the noise. Ill be traveling with a group of relatively behaved 21 year olds. That being said we are still 21 year olds. I'm more concerned about my group making noise.
  8. Thanks. I didn't realize it was so close. I did do a Google maps search and saw if was only a few miles away.
  9. I bought a 10 person tent today off craigslist and was thinking about making a road trip to Great Adventure. Anybody recommend a close by campground. It doesn't have to be fancy, electric preferred.
  10. Yeah. Not sure the point of your previous post... But at least you owned up to it. Just don't be surprised if this ends up in the "worst comments on TPR" thread. Anyway, glad to see the cams have been cleaned. I like to keep an eye on them from time to time at work.
  11. I like stand ups for one reason, the fact that the g forces pulls the blood to your legs. If my feet are tired from walking a ride on Mantis will make me feel good as new for a few more hours.
  12. ECB was better than I ever could have imagined. Thanks Robb, Elissa, and everyone else!
  13. Awesome photos! I was standing right next to you in the photo you used "the eye" lens on during I305 backstage. I'm also the right most Karaoke singer. This was my first TPR event and I'm totally hooked now. Hopefully I'll be financially ready for a tour next year. Honestly the best time I have ever had at a park.
  14. I rode Shockwave for the first time on Saturday, and while it didn't kill me I wouldn't consider it re-ridable. I got the credit and do not plan on riding it again. It's fine until about halfway through the helix, then it is just a mess IMO.
  15. They renamed Manhattan Express at NY,NY Las Vegas... "The Roller Coaster." I have no idea why they changed the name.
  16. That is going to be one big addition. I'll ride any roller coaster but I'll think twice before getting on that!
  17. Now I'm kind of grateful my plans to go to CP fell through, I can go next year now! Very excited for this announcement.
  18. ^I'm trying to find the video, but if I recall correctly the S&S pneumatic launches didn't use cables. I thought it had something to do with a long cylinder that ran under the launch section and the catch car. And watching POVs I don't hear the "whirr" of the cable as you hear on hydrolic launches and flywheel and clutch launches. I'm am no where near positive on this though, just my 2 cents.
  19. Overnight I hauled ass from Niagara Falls to Newport News VA in 10 hours flat! Cannot wait until tomorrow!
  20. I got an email receipt from TPR and one from PayPal. But nothing else.
  21. Just out of curiosity. Was I supposed to get a ticket in the mail for ECB? (KD day). I put my order in on the 25th. I'm leaving for VA tomorrow night.
  22. ^I'm going to have a decision made by tomorrow. My friends are not going for it though. Basically with QQ and our tickets it's about half the cost (employee discount), of coarse no ERT, no food, no tour... I think I'm going to end up ditching my friends for those parts of the day and just do it! Either way, I'll be at KD.
  23. OK. So I have sort of a hard choice to make. My buddy is working at Busch this season. I'll be crashing at his place with my friend James and we will both (James and I) be at Day 1 of ECB at KD. We have purchased tickets. Now, we are definitely going to Busch on the fifth, but neither of my friends want to pay for the event. They instead want to use the discount my buddy can get us and just buy quick queue on its own. I'm debating about me just buying a ticket for ECB at Busch, and letting James buy a discounted ticket. I understand that he will not be able to participate in ERT or the tour or lunch, so basically I'd be ditching them during those. Basically, how much will I be kicking my own arse if I only do the KD day of ECB?
  24. Hmmm... maybe I'm just ignorant. But WNY doesn't seem that bad. Darien lake is what it is, it has a decent water park and selection of rides. There is a lot to do during the summer, the concert scene is pretty decent (art park, Lockport, at the harbor, Ect.). Erie county fair is decent, Niagara county fair, pub fest, and Canal fest is alright. Yes, there are a lot of better parks out there... but Darien lake is only half as bad as it is made out to be, IMO. WNY is pretty OK.
