I'm glad to hear Backlot now has 2 trains running as it is one of the most popular family rides in the park. -

MF and Giant Wheel look great. Any word on if they have installed Power Tower's new lighting package yet? -

Thanks for the update. Glad to hear I wasn't hallucinating Swing-A-Round and it's still there. I'm quite jealous of the walk-ons today. -

Thanks for sharing the reviews of the ride and I'm glad to hear that it is different enough from Behemoth for 2 different experiences within the park. The whole plaza looks great, especially for Cedar Fair! I'm very impressed. Hopefully we will see more of this theming/signage around the chain in the coming years. 2 questions: Did we ever figure out the angle of the lift hill? Any word on when the tunnel is going to be added? I saw that they have the footers ready for it on the POV. -

I also walked through KidZville when I was there earlier this season and could have sworn that "Swing-A-Round" was operational as well, but then again there is a slight chance I could be wrong. I know last year they were down for most of the season with the swings removed and everything. Also, on the park's website http://www.kingsdominion.com/things-to-do/kidzville it no longer says that the ride is temporarily closed. -

Very impressive! I really like the way the area is starting to turn out. Has there been any word of what type of sign they're going to use? -

100% agreed with larrygator. I'm sure the park would have rather have done this, but just haven't do so due to the fact that making separate would be challenging and expensive to do. They have already constructed a new concrete path entrance to Avalanche and Drop Tower since opening day, but on rides like the RY, Rapids, and the Crypt making a new path isn't nearly as easy. -

Yet at KD the people merge in the station so in reality it hardly affects your wait at all with the exception of Volcano (and that only allows 2 rides using FL per day now)... -

^ On opening day and the following Saturday this season the line stretched out of the station, down the stairs, and down that straight path. That was early spring days too, so it will of course get that long (if not longer) on nice summer Saturdays, Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day weekends. I personally think all these new rides on the Fast Lane are an advantage because they can market them to families as well as thrill seekers. Plus, this will spread out the Fast Lane users on 15 rides instead of 10. And so what if they only skip a 10-15 minute line? They are still getting what they paid for by front of the access line on those 15 rides. I believe the park is just adding the attractions that it is easy to add a Fast Lane entrance to on the list. Maybe if Fast Lane is a success this season, we will see more Fast Lane entrances built this offseason for rides like Anaconda, Grizzly, and Shockwave. They probably don't want to clog up there narrow exit ramps with Fast Lane users. -

I believe they are just putting Fast Lane on any ride that is easy to construct a Fast Lane entrance. In my opinion this is a good thing as it will spread out the Fast Lane users. Plus, 15 rides is a better bang for your buck than 10. -

http://www.kingsdominion.com/what-s-new/new-fast-lane Fast Lane now has 15 attractions instead of 10. Avalanche, Dodgem, Hurler, Blue Ridge Tollway, and WaveSwinger have been added to the pass. Also, due to ride capacity restrictions, you can only ride Volcano: The Blast Coaster twice a day with your Fast Lane pass. I'm glad the park has been aware of the Volcano issues, and has come up with a solution. -

They look awesome. I'm still anxiously awaiting to see what the ride's sign, plaza, queue, gift shop, ect. turns out to look like. It seems like CF is paying a bit more attention to this one to make it fit in the Medieval Fair area of the park. So far, I'm impressed. -
I personally am a loyal Dollywood fan, but I must admit, these covers do look better. Even though these have a very simple design, they do look very awesome. The only theming letdown for me on Wild Eagle is the generic looking eagle covers. I was expecting much more detail and a more "realistic" look to them. I have to give Six Flags credit on this one.

Maybe there was a bit of a "gray-out" at the bottom of the drop like on MF and I305, so they're putting a tunnel there so they don't hear the GP's complaints on "how it isn't safe". -

I always get a ride on it at opening to be on the first or second train of the day (thanks to the CF Platinum Pass 10 min early entry), and by the time I get off of the ride the line is always at the line is already stretched to the turnaround of the chlostrophobic ramp (which is atleast a 15 min wait from there)... Another good time to ride the ride is on Friday nights during HAUNT, and Sunday's when they actually do HAUNT. -

^^^ I feel like you get a much better sense of height only facing one direction slowly disappearing beneath you... or atleast that's my opinion. I used to wonder what it would be like spinning just for the feeling, until Windseeker came to the park. Now I'm really glad it doesn't spin so the way up on the 300'+ towers are completely different experiences. -

Thanks for sharing the review of Bistro 205. I'm typically not a "meal" guy in parks and usually stick with snacks, so it doesn't sound like I'll be missing much here. I'm glad the park is offering a full-service restaurant though for those who enjoy meals in parks. Also, do you know if the name "Bistro 205" has a different meaning besides the obvious of BGW pulling a "KD trick" and putting the height of Griffon on the end of the name? -

I think this just shows Cedar Fair is starting to make the overall guest experience better. Another example of this is Fast Lane, for the impatient. As for time of Volcano's closure if this is true... Considering they can build a whole giga coaster in 10 months exactly (ground breaking: June 1, 2009. media day: April 1, 2010), I'd say it would be late summer. If they shut it down in August, that will give them about 8 months to tear out the old station and redo the station, queue, and test the ride with 3 trains. I'm really excited about this and really hope it happens. Then I could actually ride Volcano not only at 10:30 in the morning... -
