I've heard/read nothing but great reviews of the new restraints, and some even say its like a whole new ride! The only issue I have read is the "hole" for your head when lowering and raising the restraint is a bit small, but James on KDFansite finds anything to complain about it seems...

Just to throw it in there, Cedar Point's Twitter page also says "GREAT NEWS! Shoot the Rapids is scheduled to open THIS SATURDAY, June 26! RT PLZ! ". Its a shocker that it finally is opening!

FINALLY. They shouldve been on the ride when it opened on April 2nd like John Pagel said they would, but I guess it was worth the wait!

KingsDominionGeek (Nikki) of KDFansite just got back from the park and discovered that one train was covered up by a tarp, but the red "hard" straps didn't appear to be on the trains.
