As far as it goes with everyone wanting the announcement, I'm curious if Knott's is purposely waiting until after Halloween to not draw attention away from the 40th Haunt. I would definitely do that since there is no point of taking attention away from arguably one of the best haunts in the country...

^ I'd definitely put money on them charging the $5 fee like every other park. Being the only attraction Carowinds is getting in 2013, the GP would have exploded with complaints if they stated it was an up charge in the press release.

^ Who cares if they piss off 500 or so Facebook fans? There are hundreds of thousands of people that will come to the park next season and be thankful of the new addition. Those complainers will still come to the park next season...

I have always wanted an Intamin Impulse where Anaconda's station and lifthill are. But, I'm still pretty sure KidZville is getting the boot for one large Planet Snoopy, with new rides... "Largest kids area in the Mid-Atlantic!"

This new tweet now has me thinking this might be more than just a Planet Snoopy upgrade/renovation... Less than 24 hours to go!

^ Typically Haunt is only the last few Sundays of the season. This year they've expanded it to only cutting one weekend short. Scare Zone: PrimEvil: The Kuru Curse in The Congo. Scare Zone: Cleaver Brothers Carnival in The Grove. Show: Haunted House in the right side of the Action Theater. So what's gone? The Asylum (because of the Dinosaurs Alive DinoStore), The Ruins (replaced by PrimEvil: The Kuru Curse), CarnEvil (replaced by Cleaver Brothers Carnival), and Elvira's Superstition (replaced by No Vacancy/Haunted House).

On the Halloween Haunt related side of things...

It wouldn't be Haunt at Kings Dominion if you were able to see more than 8 inches in front of you! Love the fog!

Halloween Haunt XII news! The new maze inside the left side of the Action Theater will be called "The Inn at Darkside Manor: No Vacancy". There will be a new scare zone in the Congo replacing "The Ruins" called "Primevil: The Kuru Curse". There will be a new scare zone in the Grove replacing "CarnEvil" called "Cleaver Brothers Carnival". tiny.cc/KDTVHauntPreview I really like these changes and the new scare zones will fit in their areas of the park very well. The new hotel themed maze also makes sense in that location considering it is on International Street with a travel theme to it. In case you all forgot, the blueprints for "The Inn at Darkside Manor: No Vacancy" were released a few weeks back... here they are again!

On Thursday night I rode Python at Playland's Castaway Cove in Ocean City, New Jersey for my 100th credit... which just happened to be National Roller Coaster Day, how fitting!

Intimidator 305

I hit up Gillian's Wonderland tonight... Tomorrow night it is time for Playland's Castaway Cove. I really love the Ocean City New Jersey boardwalk. It is definitely worth a visit if you're in Jersey and don't mind paying ridiculous prices for the rides.

Apollo's Chariot at Busch Gardens last Thursday. But I'm at the Jersey Shore, so I'll be hitting up all the coasters in Ocean City this week.

There are some new things on the Kings Dominion website. First off, there is a new Halloween Haunt teaser, but still no official website. It looks like the new witch from Knott's is in the background. Secondly, there is now an official countdown clock on the Kings Dominion website that says "Breaking records again. The countdown begins Sept. 12". Apparently the 2013 attraction(s) will be announced at 11:00 AM. 28 days, 11 hours, 58 minutes, 44 seconds to go!

I've never ever thought a ride had too much airtime, but I'm one of the few who don't enjoy Magnum XL-200. I just don't get what the hype about that ride is for...

This park needs an Intamin or another B&M in my opinion. SOB's former site would be a perfect spot for it since it is across the park from Diamondback (which is an amazing ride).

I don't have a single thing to complain about this at all. I like the colors, logo, name, layout, new gate, location, and everything. I just hope they make the area under the ride have grass with some landscaping like it looks in the renderings. The GP will absolutely love this and I'm sure us coaster enthusiasts will too if it has some powerful forces unlike Wild Eagle. I'll be back up at Cedar Point in 2013 for sure because of this. I'm excited for the official announcement and videos!

I'll keep my opinion simple, I can't re-ride Maverick much at all, but I can ride Intimidator 305 over a dozen times and not have any pain. Maverick would be a completely different ride with Intimidator 305's restraints in my opinion...

Thanks for sharing, I really enjoyed all the 305 backstage photos. It looks like everyone had a blast at this event. As for Halloween Haunt XII, I'm curious to see if those new circus props are for that are on display in front of the Eiffel Tower. We know that 1 of the 2 new houses will be themed to a haunted hotel (in the left side of the Action Theater), so maybe we will see a clown maze return. But they might just be new props for CarnEvil... I guess we'll find out soon! I'm looking forward to the BGW pictures.

"GateKeeper" makes sense with the whole renovation of the gates, flying over the gates, and being at the front of the park deal. "GateKeeper" is also a good name because it compliments the name of its future neighbor, WindSeeker!
