None of Kings Dominion's woodies are that rough. Rebel Yell is without a doubt the smoothest though.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg tomorrow for the first time this season. I'm excited to see how I like Verbolten.

Awesome trip report and I'm glad you enjoyed the park. I'm still highly disappointed that I couldn't make it to this event.

^^ You're wrong there. There is PLENTY of room to expand the kids area including the Treasure Cave site, old Blue's Clues house and field, and next to Boo Blasters and Dominator if they really wanted to.

Although I doubt it will be relocated, Troika would fit well in WildCat's old location and give that midway some more energy during the day.

I think you all need to remember that Pat Jones (Kings Dominion GM and VP) and other high ups were walking around KidZville in the spring with blueprints in their hands and taking photos. With that in mind the teaser is hinting to one large Planet Snoopy... which is exactly what the park needs.

Don't give Cedar Fair any ideas.

^ That's what I'm starting to think as well. They will probably pull out the "Largest Kids Area in the Mid-Atlantic (or East Coast)" record. I'm excited that the park is teasing it though like so many other parks do these days. They're doing the same thing as CGA is doing on their website.

2013!!! First of all, Kings Dominion never teases so this is shocking. Secondly, the only strong 2013 rumor has been a kiddie area revamp and this doesn't seem to be hinting towards that (unless "Planet" Snoopy, but it has the records thing mentioned). Finally, the whole "Breaking Records... AGAIN!" thing really has my attention. September 12th, get here now! Thoughts?

^ Well it might end up being like back in 2004 when Dollywood built Thunderhead. The area was known as Thunderhead Gap and it was the only thing up the hill despite a few small things. I'm sure they'll expand later making it a more "solid" section like Dollywood did.

I'm liking the unique marketing and hype that the park is doing for this ride. I hope that's something that more and more Cedar Fair parks will start doing.

August 13th is sooner than I thought the announcement would be (since CGA's is the 29th I figured it would be closer to that), so I'm a happy person tonight. Only 10 days away!

I was impressed with how smooth the Beast was when I visited in June. It is definitely a comfortable ride.

I like it, I just don't think it is as good as Millennium Force, Diamondback, or Intimidator (although I do like Top Thrill Dragster more than Diamondback and Intimidator even though it is a one-trick ride).

Please tell me someone got a screenshot...? It sounds like this is going to be one insane ride!

^^ Hopefully the nice castle structure outside of the building will return this year. That was a great improvement last season. Also, KD has posted an interesting behind the scenes with a maintenance worker during the morning safety checks on Windseeker and Rebel Yell.

^ Agreed. Millennium Force is definitely the best of that group of rides followed by Diamondback, Intimidator, and then Kingda Ka (in my opinion).

Just a heads up to the Dodgem fans, the ride's last operating day of the season was yesterday. It is now closed to prepare for Haunt XII.

Just skipping the Volcano line is worth the money if you have it...

They need to do what Dollywood with Timber Tower. Rip it out and replace it with picnic tables... that would be a better use of space than the ride.

GateKeeper makes sense with those eyeballs as a clue and the fact that this is supposed to fly over the main entrance gate... To be honest, I don't think the name is that bad. Cedar Fair has definitely come up with worse names than that before!

I know some King Cobra parts used to be in and behind FOF's building.

That obviously doesn't matter to Cedar Point... green might be the new "red"!
