Carlsbad Gardens [RCT2]
SoCalCoasters replied to SoCalCoasters's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
^ What I meant by that was everyone went to the park in Florida instead of the one here...and CA Version went bankrupt from loss of guests. I'll post a HUGE update tomorrow or later tonight. Includes river rafts, log ride, CGI wooden coaster, splash boats and a kiddie coaster. -
Hello everyone, this is my first RCT2 park so go easy on me. Here's a preview: It is August, 2012. Legoland California has gone bankrupt a year after rival park Legoland Florida opened. All the rides have been removed...all the scenery, destroyed. There is nothing left but a large plot of land, ready for a new amusement park to rise from the rubble!!! It is...Carlsbad Gardens. The land is ready for building so let the creation begin!!! It will take true talent and strength to make this park an amazing success but the CG Team will do it no matter what! Enough of the story, onto the screenshots. SCR4.BMP The simple yet attractive entrance to Carlsbad Gardens. SCR5.BMP The park's main attraction, A B&M launched coaster called TNT: A Blast From The Past. SCR6.BMP Mineshaft Fall, the park's mine themed Top Spin. SCR7.BMP Entrance Plaza shot near begining of building. Guests have been let in to try the first few completed rides. SCR8.BMP Another Entrance Shot That's All For Now! Please Comment on Likes and Dislikes!

Bell's Amusement Park
SoCalCoasters replied to chadster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It's so sad to see amusement parks in shambles like this.... Reminds me of SFNO and GL after they were destroyed...not in a good way. -
I think that the Roto-Drop towers like the one at Kings Dominion have a really high throughput. I forget how many that one sat, but I'd imagine it is at least 40-50 people. If they consider this I hope that it gets a little more theming than Tatsu and Ninja got. Heck, pull out all the stops and add a storyline and onboard audio (that doesn't shake itself to pieces) along with an insanely large amount of theming and a large capacity per hour to create an eyepoping attraction you can see from the anywhere in the park. Just as long as they don't do a Hollywood theme (cough)Movieworld(cough).
-
If SFMM Does get a drop tower, I'm hoping they will try to give it some decent theming and story line. Oh, and also try to make it HIGH capacity since SFMM is lacking that type of ride. As for other future attractions, why not build a small darkride/kiddie coaster in the old Wizard's Castle. It could be SFMM's version of a Dragon Coaster and could be a huge hit if marketed correctly...and if its not from Vekoma. After all, Dance Coaster is a rollerskater. If they did something like this they should call up Mack and order a Youngstar Coaster. After all it was announced they were going to make the park more kid friendly, a ride or coaster like this would be perfect. Hey I can dream can't I?
-
The park sure could use some new flats. After all, they've removed Free Fall, Sierra Twist, and Spin Out, A Ferris Wheel and more... Six Flags Magic Mountain has never had a Ferris Wheel. The closest thing was the Intamin double arm wheel they took out in the early 80s. (or was it late 70s) --Robb Sorry My Mistake...I believe they took out a ride with Wheel in its name.
-
If I recall correctly Screamscape started that big rumor pot. I am crossing my fingers that this is true. Superman is a good ride but it could use more. I also hope they decide to expand the queue if they do this instead of putting a giant rope line running down the Summit. The one thing I hope they work on is the emergency braking section. My cousin's friend has personally expericenced the E Stop and says that it was pretty rough. The last thing I'm secretly praying for is either onboard or offboard audio coupled with special effects! Hey I can dream can't I. After all...the other Bizzarro remakes added effects.

I believe the one at the fair is a KMG Booster...It takes them about 15 minutes to set up and be ready to ride!!? I will never go on one of those evil looking things...but they do look fun... EDIT: BTW The KMG Booster (called Speed) is counter balanced so I doubt this would happen to it. This accident is just horrible

OTSRs are not that bad, not everything can have a lap bar you know. And.....your are calling B&M rides forceless!? You seem to have strange expectations for this ride....but thats my opinion. -

Heck, if any sea world park needs a coaster its Sea World San Diego. For this ride i'm guessing they'll have a new style of OTSRs that are smaller like Baco. I doubt there will be a water splash because of the seating style. -

I doubt B&M will go for the traditional lift for this ride. I believe the ride will start underground, go though some kind of show room/ dark ride section followed by a launch to the surface. The two elements that create zero g's will most likely be air time hills . After the launch, the ride would go over the first air time hill followed by several curves and then the second air time hill several more curves and perhaps a helix or inversion (this is B&M after all) and then would dive underground and hit the brake run. I'm just speculating...but knowing B&M it will end up something like this. -

B & M is supposedly working on a new prototype for this park...dunno what it will be. -
CGI needs to combine the best elements from all their coasters and create an insanely intense and exciting ride. Taking elements such as outward banking, triple ups, the high five, fly through station, airtime, racing/dueling, overbanking curves, and good theming they could create the greatest wood coaster ever made.

Seems there was also some outward banking at one point in the ride. I find it interesting that it was designed that way. These look like two very good coasters. -
