  1. It may just be me, but did that Dragon darkride section look pretty lifeless? I mean maybe I'm just so used to LLCA's Dragon, but...
  2. Is it just me, or does this sound like an RCT2 Challenge?
  3. After a brief Google Earth search...there isn't any land behind the Castle left. Either LC or JP will have to go. And since JP still pulls in massive crowds...
  4. ^Train would reverse backwards into the transfer shed.
  5. ^Hope it's not the Palm restraunt at the Hard Rock. That place was good, but very expensive. Around 50-60 dollars per person.
  6. The only thing I remember seeming remotely Greek was the style of bread (very awesome). Besides that, nothing remotely Greek. I'm afraid a Potter expansion will probably be the end of the restaurant....
  7. I re-did the turn around. The ride now makes it through the course without fail. DSCN1324.MOV The new turn around.
  8. ^It's also a bit interesting to see a brand new member, with one post on the site, who joined today, who supposedly read the Term Of Service is critisizing a Moderator for enforcing the sites rules. This park needs a lot of work. EDIT: Welcome back Mr. TMH (The Mad Hattter) aka trolololol Nice to see you causing needless drama in the forum again.
  9. I would say maybe try adding and airtime hill to that straight section coming out of the turn around.
  10. In the dark depths of a crumbling and decrepid mine, a single spark, ignites your only escape. Shot0511.bmp Shaft 13: Escape Is Not The Only Option
  11. Yes, you can make LIMs that small! It's quite interesting as people are coming up with ways to use them in toy applications! As for the ZG roll, yes, it does need that manky pieces in order to keep shape corrctly, and be able to navigate the roll without loss of speed.
  12. Yeah, I need to do that. I used to do Pinewood Derby when I was in Cubscouts so I have the graphite lube around that I can use. Yes, it will have an actual magnetic launch. We've started working on the mechanics now...We've going to be using an old laptop to control them.
  13. WESTERN Adventure Follwing a small indoor darkride section with a surprise drop into an abandoned mine, riders climb 50 feet above Bell Gardens, before wishing the operator ado, and plunging 40 feet into a slash down! Shot0510.bmp WEsTern Adventure opens Halloween Weekend, here at Bell Gardens.
  14. On their site, they offer tickets for both the brick or treat and normal day operations.
  15. They're working pretty fast...I wonder how much track we'll see before the walls begin to go up...
  16. A while back, I had the idea of building a K'nex coaster, and using actual LIMs to launch it. Since my dad works in electronics, and I dabble in them as well. Our original plans called for the coaster to be a shuttle layout, but that proved to be a little too complicated for a prototype ;layout. Instead we settled on a low to the ground Maverick Esque design with two sets of LIMs. One for the lift hill and another pair to launch the coaster. The layout goes like this: Maverick Lift, Zero G Roll, banked turn around, second launch, and after that: ???? Onto the video: This is currently what the layout looks like... DSCN1321.MOV The current progress... The Maverick-esque lift... The zero G roll and turnaround... The total layout so far... The turnaround... Please comment on what O have so far, I'd really appreciate it...
  17. That looks amazing! I'm sorry I wasn't able to make it out for the grand opening as I live in SoCal (hence my name). I'll make an effort to get out there sometime in the future! Incredible Job!
  18. ^ I think you took his "couldn't find anything" response too literally. I also have to agree with all the focus being on Wizarding World, because when I went this past summer, Forbidden Journey had a three hour line, when Jurassic Park's wait was a mere ten minutes... I also noticed about 3-4 eateries around the park that were not in operation. Which really surprised me considering that there were some substantial crowds...
  19. For a few of your pictures you should really avoid pointing your camera at the sun, as it tends to cause damage to the lenses after a while.
  20. You do realize that the TTD model was based on the fan art when the ride was first announced.
  21. ^Google has all the fake answers to your question. Did you just loose the game?
  22. Update: While I was unable to attend Brick or Treat this past weekend, I did end up visiting the park on Monday. Brick Or Treat has expanded now that it is a separate evening upcharge. There are now two seperate Brick or Treat Trails, one in the original Enchanted Walk area, and now a new one located above the model builder building in Miniland, which used to be the home of the now removed Lego Art area. In addition to the two trails, there are now all kinds of additional decorations and props set up all around the park that have not been there in years past. I applaud Legoland for adding a bit more flare to their events. (possibly to compete with Disney?) Pirate Shores was down for it's rehab it appeared, and Treasure Falls had a line that went out the entrance in the afternoon. Lost Kingdom Adventure's cars seemed to have been rehabbed recently, as they were the most accurate I've ever seen them! I got a score of exactly 999 points . Overall I had a good time.
  23. ^By looking at the two systems...Intamin's system was far more complex, with hydraulics pulling the ride down, whereas this looks to be just a freefall, with no interruption.
  24. I'm very excited for Legoland Billund's Addition...hopefully, Legoland CA will make up their mind within the next month and put something on the table for 2012...even if it isn't a coaster...
  25. This looks really amazing! I was also wondering if you could possibly post some kind of a tutorial on your various building techniques? I've always loved working with Knex but my projects never finish because of their low caliber...
