The "Brainstorm" Thread
SoCalCoasters replied to A.J.'s topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Is it just me, or does this sound like an RCT2 Challenge? -
^It's also a bit interesting to see a brand new member, with one post on the site, who joined today, who supposedly read the Term Of Service is critisizing a Moderator for enforcing the sites rules. This park needs a lot of work. EDIT: Welcome back Mr. TMH (The Mad Hattter) aka trolololol Nice to see you causing needless drama in the forum again.

I would say maybe try adding and airtime hill to that straight section coming out of the turn around. -

Legoland California Discussion Thread

On their site, they offer tickets for both the brick or treat and normal day operations. -
A while back, I had the idea of building a K'nex coaster, and using actual LIMs to launch it. Since my dad works in electronics, and I dabble in them as well. Our original plans called for the coaster to be a shuttle layout, but that proved to be a little too complicated for a prototype ;layout. Instead we settled on a low to the ground Maverick Esque design with two sets of LIMs. One for the lift hill and another pair to launch the coaster. The layout goes like this: Maverick Lift, Zero G Roll, banked turn around, second launch, and after that: ???? Onto the video: This is currently what the layout looks like... DSCN1321.MOV The current progress... The Maverick-esque lift... The zero G roll and turnaround... The total layout so far... The turnaround... Please comment on what O have so far, I'd really appreciate it...

^ I think you took his "couldn't find anything" response too literally. I also have to agree with all the focus being on Wizarding World, because when I went this past summer, Forbidden Journey had a three hour line, when Jurassic Park's wait was a mere ten minutes... I also noticed about 3-4 eateries around the park that were not in operation. Which really surprised me considering that there were some substantial crowds...

You do realize that the TTD model was based on the fan art when the ride was first announced. -

Legoland California Discussion Thread
SoCalCoasters replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Update: While I was unable to attend Brick or Treat this past weekend, I did end up visiting the park on Monday. Brick Or Treat has expanded now that it is a separate evening upcharge. There are now two seperate Brick or Treat Trails, one in the original Enchanted Walk area, and now a new one located above the model builder building in Miniland, which used to be the home of the now removed Lego Art area. In addition to the two trails, there are now all kinds of additional decorations and props set up all around the park that have not been there in years past. I applaud Legoland for adding a bit more flare to their events. (possibly to compete with Disney?) Pirate Shores was down for it's rehab it appeared, and Treasure Falls had a line that went out the entrance in the afternoon. Lost Kingdom Adventure's cars seemed to have been rehabbed recently, as they were the most accurate I've ever seen them! I got a score of exactly 999 points . Overall I had a good time. -

I'm very excited for Legoland Billund's Addition...hopefully, Legoland CA will make up their mind within the next month and put something on the table for 2012...even if it isn't a coaster... -
Vengeance - Knex Coaster
SoCalCoasters replied to Commando's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
This looks really amazing! I was also wondering if you could possibly post some kind of a tutorial on your various building techniques? I've always loved working with Knex but my projects never finish because of their low caliber...
