  1. Fellville's 2012 season will be a historic one as the Southern-based theme park introduces the new $20 million Thunder Head steel wing coaster, the first of its kind in the U.S. Experiencing the freedom of flight, the new coaster's innovative floorless design positions riders seated four abreast in a forward-facing position, with two riders actually seated on the "wings" along either side of the coaster's track with nothing but air above and below them. Riders face a storm--quite literally with Bollinger and Mabillard's signature "roar" as riders embark on a 3 minute journey for their life. With 3 packed inversions, and a vertical first drop, prepare, to ride the storm! Only at Fellville--America's Old Time Park!™
  2. Agreed. It most likley will die off, seeing as what happened to the last unoffical contest.
  3. Alright, Thanks Robb. After I get back from work, I should be able to get a few done tonight.
  4. What areas do we still need to come up with questions, or is it just free roam right now? I'll try and pitch in if there are still specific areas that need to be taken care of.
  5. As we continue to take a stroll down memory lane, here we not only see an orginal attraction from the park, but we also get a glimpse of the future--Nova, a new design from Intamin AG based out of Switzerland, takes it's riders on a fast pace journey with extreme momments of "airtime." Its name suggest not only the beauty that a Supernova provides from the outside, but also the sheer power one may expierence if closer. Fellville--America's old time park!™
  6. Even if there were custom supports made out of scenery to make those kinds of supports like you have mentioned, you would still have to use the zero clearance function of 8 cars for the overall effect to look nice. Really, all you have to do is initiate the zero clearance function (absolute) and build impulse track just above the corkscrew elements. Start at the top of the element, so you don't have to build from underground. Hope that helps.
  7. It is just trial and error with 8 cars zero clearance option found under the misc. tab. Good news! It appears that the old vintage car ride has been tidy up from it's previous years of neglect, and expected to open up this coming friday. Fellville graciously allowed us to distribute this picture of the ride preforming finalized testing. Enjoy!
  8. As one of the game forum mods here, Welcome! Glad to always see new blood around here. About you park, I want to echo a few of the things that RCT2day advised to you, but the one thing I would recommend is—landscaping. Don’t be afraid to add some elevation differences in you park, because it can add more aesthetics, like on your mine train coaster, for example. Imagine that coaster coming out of the mountains after a long journey in the dark (building underground actually adds to a coaster’s excitement rating). You have the creative skills, so adding a more defined landscape, and accompanying foliage will bring in more life to the overall park. It’s a very nice start.
  9. No love for Intamin? A BM track seems to be alright this time around. I mean, with this whole giga coming about, I have seen a lot of people try and replicate that idea.
  10. ^The game can only hold so many files, or at least veiwable items. They are still there, however. The obvious advice would be to delete let go of some small scenery pieces you will never use. You would need DAT checker in order to see that the files you delete are not vanilla based dat files. Hope this helps, and explains the issue.
  11. Got pretty bored late last night... Hopefully this goes somewhere, seeing as I want to try my hands at making Fellville again.
  12. I just mean it has all left turns basically, which seems boring. At least some sort of directional change is very much welcomed. haha, Just trying to sound smart, which didn't work out. P
  13. Yes, but see, both the Texas Giant, and Mean Streak have more then just one single dimension of turns, which to be honest, makes for a boring, uninspired layout. Brody, I've seen better layouts from you, heck, your last woodie in your last park was very well done; try replicating that, as I think it has a better look. Also, I notice that your foliage is inconsistent with some of your areas-- Eruption's looks very unnatural, and forced, while the last few screens have been more natural in feel. Just a nit pick. Please continue this though, I smell a breakthrough.
  14. If you want them to appear in a saved game that you have not previously had a ride or piece of scenery in, you must use parkdat to put those items in, or start a new scenario using the scenario editor.
  15. um, you do realize that with all these additions will provide tourist to come, and possibly visit Knott's. Every year that Disney puts something in, Knott's in return gets a boost in attendance as well, simply by the proximity the two parks share. I don't see that not putting anything in this year is a liability for Knott's.
  16. So I was thinking with the success of the first RCT2 showdown, with over 20 participants, why not make this new showdown "official," seeing the boost of people already interested in it. The contest would take a month as it is. Thoughts?
  17. use the toggle chain method using the newest version of 8 cars. :Try this!
  18. Nice job on the bridge. You made it look a lot better then my hasty attempt.
  19. Under landscape with 8cars newest version, (1.32) use cap land max, and it should lower to the point you can manually lower it back down. Sorry I'm late.
  20. I think the tree on fire in the front of the queue line (?) is a bit excessive but the rest fits in well, and is executed pretty darn well.
