  1. Dude, just use a ziplock bag or two. works like a charm for water rides. You can use clips to hang keyring from your belt loop. Just make sure the clip is good and sturdy.
  2. I would tear down Grizzly at CGA. Something a lot better could be put in that space and there's no real air time on that coaster If I recall right. However what I would love to imploded is "It's A Small World".
  3. Wow, this is something I've seen a lot of. I don't bring a lot with me. I brought my wallet, car keys, phone, and a camera. These are things I cannot afford to lose on a ride when I'm 2,500 miles from home. I'd rather them be kept safe rather than lose them going through a loop. The fact that the just had to nickel and dime us for this security ticked me off. The cubby holes at KBF were perfectly fine (and secure) and Disney never told us that we "absolutely must" remove all loose articles, so why SF can't extend the same common courtesy is beyond me. I had all of that save for a phone on my 8 trips to SFDK and 2 trips to SFMM in 2010 and I never had to use a locker since I wore a shirt with pocket's. i din't even need cargo pants or anything either which is always a option. Also last year at SFDK while waiting for Roar. A guy a head of me asked me to hold his backpack.. I did. He got back (one train operation) and I handed back his pack. If worst comes to worst you can put trust in a complete stranger and likely have it turn out to be a good experience. Well if it's a single train operation that is. Anyways SFMM isn't ever going to be Disneyland quality in park management. Also SFMM isn't going to be a family friendly place honestly, in terms of the age/maturity of riders. Of course the food quality will always be laughable. but there's wendy's and even red lobster right down the road. Though the BBQ joint smelt great last june.
  4. I don't expect Tatsu or X2 to be closed/removed with the next decade. SFMM still seems to have room and they can also expand their land again, IIRC. Plus weather wise SFMM isn't closed often, however since they are adding more rides/have so many rides you might miss 2-3 rides if you do come. Eitherway I don't really see the park getting worse in terms of ride quality, only better. (asides for kiddie rides... maybe)
  5. In order. 1. Pretzel loops 2. zero-g rolls 3. airtime 4. vertical/near vertical drops (X2 is the most vertical drop I've had, not counting superman.)
  6. I hope the weather gets better for all the TPR members down south so the coasters don't have to shut down for a extend period. However Northern California is getting all of the rain, wind and snow it can handle. Even I-80 is shut down due to zero advisability. Still it seems better down there. ( Edit: perhaps I was wrong.)
  7. That sounds a lot better then a train full of random people going " borin... oh shit I thought our heads were gonna smack into the track." Granted that might of been me. <_>
  8. I actually prefer Thomas then the smurfs. However. I would love to see a My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic kids area. After watching the video Ponycraft 2 I decided to check out the show due to the animation style. I loved Powerpuff girls and Fosters Home and what do you know. The woman behind this worked on both AND is married to Craig McCraken. So the stories on this new my little pony are decent enough to watch. Also who can't love Derpy Hooves. so cute... so derpy.
  9. I still want to attend. But I want at least 2 hours of ERT on cobra for credit whoring. (Joking) But seriously, ERT on Roar/Medusa would be sweet. Doesn't have to be at the same time either since I assume the event will be small. Also I at least hope there will be the water cup challenge on Big Spin, the photos from that looked really fun.
  10. Robb hasn't ordered him to either remove the watermark or take it down if the watermark stays up. Also it is a photo of a structure SFMM doesn't use asides for Halloween mazes from what I hear. Plus it's been demonstrated watermarks can be removed by people. I thought robb, and members here could be a little mean at times but is there a better alternative then TPR... not really. ACE is more strict and I don't like their format and coasterviews is full of people that commit crimes (POV's) so clearly they won't have any events. So I'll take what I can get. Plus I am not a enthusiast like most are here, half way between GP and coaster fanatic and TPR is seemingly fine with that.
  11. Well I tried looking into seeing if this tusami that hit some parts of the west coast of the US affected Beachboard walk. I heard reports that the city's marina got battered a little. Crescent city 200+ miles up highway also on the coast. Their marina got wiped out. Of course any damage that happens/happened wouldn't be nearly as bad as what Japan has got/is getting. Also if I remember correctly the boardwalk is about 15-25 feet high anyway. So i'm not too worried about it.
  12. Why would CF sell a ride to a rival operator such as six flags? If CGA closes then the rides would be sent to other CF parks....at least the rides they want to relocate. Well, Cedar Fair doesn't have any real investments in California then CGA, right? Unless they also own Gilroy but honestly I don't have intentions on going there anytime soon. Pls SFDK is pretty close and can cut down on shipping costs and maybe Cedar point can get a trade/money option. SFDK gets topgun and CP gets Kong and _____ amount of money. Of course this isn't likely going to happen because Topgun is a really good/cool rollercoaster and has aged extremely well IMHO. It would be a blessing for any park to get as long as it's name isn't Cedar Point. Though even they would love it I bet.
  13. I haven't been in many coaster's with tunnels. So "Terminator" I guess. X2 would of been fu if on the first drop, (after pre dip) it went into a tunnel, like Goliath does. But such a tunnel would of been huge.
  14. I don't think I honestly would want to go to CGA, but Discovery Kingdom I am completely down for. The dolphin, seal and shouka ( killer whale) shows were a lot better during fright fest too. They got in the water with the seals and dolphins... in October. <_> Hopefully this means this new season will feature more of animal and trainer tricks/stunts.
  15. Hopefully those superman car's never get put onto a super sized wild mouse. Instant death/neck snapping ride.
  16. This is awesome and totally makes me happy spending time/money at SFDK. Good rides and good animals.
  17. I went on it twice in a row without getting off, also I was the only one in the log. Twas fun and WET. The ride is oddly relaxing and terrifying while your the only one riding it too.
  18. Ahhh. the curse of living in southern California. Baseball and other outdoor activities in the middle of February. The north and east are lucky they just have snow to deal with. <_< >_> suckers.
  19. The funny thing is that over the last couple of years cruise ships have really started becoming a bit more like floating theme parks! The latest RCCL and Disney ships are closer to bridging that gap! I don't think there will ever be a full scale roller coaster but I could totally see more things like zip lines, water coasters and other "attractions" getting added. Maybe a fully enclosed alpine coaster or something? Maybe a cruise line could add in ship departing zip-lines.
  20. I love that SFMM is keeping a actually BBQ option for guests to eat at and I am sad to see longhorn's close down. It smelled great well walking up to riddler's. I assume I'll eat there if SFMM let's me and my friends during our VIP tour. Well, as long as it's still open in late July or so. All the other food at SFMM looked subpar. Of course I am hoping for some type of beef at the BBQ joint, i'm not really sure so many people like pork.
  21. I might never forgive them for posting pictures of those really good looking peppercorn steak and cheesecake. Hell, that cheesecake slice was huge!
  22. The prize chute looks cleared to me. I had 22 seconds left on the clock and the game just booted me out saying I lost. freaking ripoff.
  23. It's an awesome perk. I usually get in a bit before the main gate opens, allowing you a great head start to wherever you're heading. They've always just looked at my card and made sure the name matched my pass. Not sure about a group size. My dad showed his discover card when we went late last June. He got himself, his girlfriend and me in though that line despite me nor her having discover cards of our own. Of course, the attendant could of just ignored rules/protocol. But I assume unless your group is like more then 4, it should be fine. As always getting there early helps and getting there later, well it won't really matter then most of the time.
  24. www.tomshardware.com/news/Joyland-China-Warcraft-StarCraft-Amusement-Park,12153.html This is awesome if true. Though it would fit better in south korea.
  25. Hi! I don't quite understand your question my friend? You were assigned 4,2 and 3,9 and the winning number was 1,5. Please explain, don't want any unhappy Big Mike Valuable Readers! Peace, Big Mike I was thinking that you posted a list of all the players and what numbers they were given. I didn't see my name listed so I assumed I wasn't put into the mix. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
