  1. Pushing life to the limit, or...Yolo lol I mean, Yolo really IS the theme.
  2. ^^ Right. And the same could not be said for Full Throttle, Green Lantern or Great Adventure's El Diablo. Besides, we weren't really talking about coaster additions, but rather the cheap theming that often surrounds them. Coughyolocough. ..
  3. There is definitely a lot of cost cutting going on in the chain right now, even with their "flagship" parks, and Imo, it really hurts the brand, especially when you compare it against what Cedar Fair is doing. There is no way SFGadv and SFMM should be cheapie about their additions. But that has been the case now since emerging from bankruptcy.
  4. ^ Yeah I don't know, maybe. Golden Kingdom still looks pretty good, as does DC Universe. Sometimes, when you least expect it, they get it right (For Six Flags anyway).
  5. ^ Yes, based on what I saw this morning, Colossus as we know it is no more. I'm very excited to see that second hill go up.
  6. 2015 is shaping up to be one of those years that make me an active enthusiast again. Amazing.
  7. My guess is RMC is much more concerned with getting track out to the weather challenged New England, while getting the Colossus structure and other prep work done until Cyclone's track work is done.
  8. Sorry, but my guilty pleasure ride is SFMM Green Lantern. I love it. I love just sitting and watching it as it eats unsuspecting guests. It's also a surprising, slightly terrifying ride.
  9. I had a recent ride on Tatsu that was just glorious. To me Tatsu is one of the most underrated B&Ms in the US. The terrible operations probably hurt it.
  10. I'll be a happy camper if TC opens by the first week of June.
  11. This leak seems almost intentional to me. Either way, awesome choice!
  12. I agree. A Dive coaster seems like the next logical coaster step for Cedar Point. Those rides have excellent capacity and are tremendous crowd pleasers. If not a dark ride, I like this potential choice.
  13. ^ Yeah I was just thinking I should probably get back up to CGA as soon as possible and get more rides on Gold Striker, before that one goes to hell.
  14. I'm of the mind that SFMM should never attempt another wooden coaster again... Ever.
  15. ^ it also explains why Scream went up with so little thought right over a parking lot.
  16. At SFMM now, and it is beyond dead. X2 is a walk on!
  17. Paint the coaster, enhance the trains and make the entrance look more enticing. Anything more than that and I'll be shocked. I honestly do not care that much about a parking lot underneath a decade old coaster. They'll do all that work, and people will still dismiss the ride as "rough".
  18. So likely two top 5 steel coasters belonging to SFNE. you guys are so lucky up there!
  19. That paint scheme is actually pretty hideous, hopefully that will change. SFDK Medusa also sits smack dab on a parking lot, yet you hardly ever hear about it. I think that's because it's just presented better. Better colors, station, trains...
  20. ^ LOL. I'll always use Colossus or TC. Agreed, not big on coaster nicknames.
  21. ^ Well I don't disagree with that aspect of it. I just want more aggressive rides like Maverick and Batman being built and in no way confuse aggressiveness with roughness. Touche to your point though.
