  1. I like Scream. Send it to a place where people will appreciate it.
  2. Agreed. I can still at least ride Viper and enjoy it once a visit. I usually skip other Arrows.
  3. Or follow in the lead of other large parks like Kings Island and Great Adventure and take several years off coaster building to fill in the rest of the park with non coaster attractions that make the all day experience better. From the looks of it, TC will make the perfect coaster to hold them over. This coaster should get a lot of attention for years.
  4. ^That's a cool story. We shall see...
  5. Yeah I don't think awesome RMC airtime twice around could ever be repetitive. I really don't get the negative towards that at all. That said, WC looks epic. This coaster means serious business.
  6. Looks like the drop is coming down. I'm guessing they'll be back on track in 2 weeks or so.
  7. I'm with you on Green Lantern! It's awesome and trippy and I don't get the hate. Great report!
  8. The best hope for Revolution... Is time. Eventually the park will need new trains, and a new angle in which to market the ride to younger guests (see X2 or Colossus). Only then will we possibly see the changes we hope for Revolution. I have a hunch that this will be sooner rather than later.
  9. I'm only responding because you asked me a question, so I'll answer it. I care. And if you think I'm the only one who's pointed this out then you haven't been reading very carefully. There was a lot of dead space in the track they DID utilize, nothing about the track getting bulldozed would've made it harder to use. I find it interesting that this thread for a long time has been the most concentrated source of Six Flags bashing on the entire forum. Now we're seeing a project with obvious squandered potential and, for some reason, most people seem to be willing to give them a pass. It is in fact possible to like what you're getting and be happy, AND recognize that it could've been so much more. It's not an either/or. EDIT: Although most people are also being very pessimistic about the operations of this ride. I guess that's where the SF bashing comes back in. I think most people can separate a great ride from a company with a great track record from a lousy park Imo, this is the most exciting ride SFMM has added since X. We all get that it could have been longer, but the awesomeness by far outweighs the nitpicking. That's why you're not getting much support. It's the same comments we got when Outlaw Run and El Toro were announced in regards to length vs height. And we can see how that turned out. Colossus is closed for good. This is a brand new ride. The original stats are no more. Time to move forward.
  10. ^ Your reality though, because I'm not hearing these criticisms from anyone else, and most of us were quite critical of FT only to go on and enjoy it. As Robb has said, this ride is going to be so much better than what was there, it makes no sense to me to continually complain that the most boring parts of the old ride are missing, all while giving a free pass to Rattler which did the same thing.
  11. ^ And the coaster flying up the lift is exactly what I want! Not lumbering and meandering to get there. Far more exciting the way it has been designed. I trust that RMC know what they are doing.
  12. Both sides of Colossus = 8,650 feet. Both sides of Twisted Colossus = 4,990 feet. With two lift hills the ride could have been much longer. Or if they kept the two sides separate you could've ended up with two average-sized RMCs. Right, but other than the lift hills, you're not getting one piece of dead track on this new ride, that wasn't close to being the case on that 8,600ft version. It's a trade off, and Imo, a good one. Besides, as I said before, on the old Colossus, you could only ride one side at a time, so the total track length is irrelevant when comparing to TC.
  13. People keep saying the ride was shortened, but has it really? Sure, the total track was cut down, but you could never ride more than 4,300ft at one time anyway. So in that sense the hasn't been shortened at all.
  14. The blue track run just looks friggin insane, and the highlight of the ride.
  15. I cannot get over how seriously amazing this coaster looks. Guess I'll have to plan a trip to Boston to see some friends.
  16. I'll repeat what Robb said. Even the worst RMC ride is better than 99 percent of other coasters. That's all I need to hear.
  17. ^^Of course, but my fear with a longer coaster is that it would meander, and be overloaded with inversions. No thanks. One Riddler's Revenge is enough. I think what RMC did here is brilliant. If I had one complaint, it's that I'll have to suffer through days at SFMM in order to ride it.
  18. ^^^ While I appreciate your opinion, I don't see it that way at all. Lightning Run is the most enjoyable steel coaster I have been on in years, all 2,400ft of it. If the first half of Twisted Colossus is even close to that ride, we haven't lost anything but a lousy wooden coaster to a great one. The fact that I then get to do another 80 degree drop and more awesomeness after that, is something I could not do anywhere else in the US. Your mileage may vary, but I couldn't be more pleased with this ride, regardless if the other RMC s are better or not.
  19. People can debate despatch times, synching and lost track all they want. I can't get pass the fact that SFMM will finally have airtime in 2015! Frankly, that's all that matters to me right now.
  20. I prefer the intense, dark layout of Wicked Cyclone. Having said that, if I could only ride one of them next year, due to it's uniqueness and crazy fun elements, I'd have to chose TC. So I guess it's pretty much a draw for me. Both are definitely my favorite RMC creations yet.
  21. That looks pretty much impossible to get any airtime on those unless the station is higher than it is in the animation. Shouldn't be an issue. The original built up nice nice bit of speed before the lift. I always wished for pre lift camel backs then, I'm glad RMC was on the same page!
  22. ^^True, but the trade off is you get two 80 degree drops out of it.
  23. Hmmmm..Back Alley. Does that mean a freshly painted Scream? I love the look of this ride. Amazing job RMC! this and Cyclone do not disappoint.
  24. I have to say, this looks amazing! Holy moly the airtime looks insane on this. I slightly prefer this to Colossus, but RMC hit two more home runs again!
  25. To me the most boring addition to the park in the last 20 years was easily Scream. Everything else has ranged from okay to pretty good. Nothing truly great though, and nothing with airtime at all.
