  1. And same for "tallest looping coaster." What about Roller Coaster (Manhattan Express) at NYNY? And Wild Eagle has a 190ft lift. Both have traditional vertical loops. Either way, should be a fun ride, but interesting that they claim it's the tallest and fastest looping coaster!
  2. Speaking of wanting new slides for White Water... http://content.sixflags.com/newfor2013/overgeorgia/typhoon-twister/
  3. The video showing all of the new Six Flags attractions actually has a bit more POV. Check out 3:12 in the video: http://content.sixflags.com/newfor2013
  4. Fantastic! Looks like this and Outlaw Run are the coasters to beat so far for 2013!
  5. It's official! Sky Screamer confirmed for 2013: http://www.sixflags.com/overGeorgia/guess/day.html 24-stories (will be the tallest ride in the park) 40 mph Opening late Spring 2013
  6. More great pics! Thanks Hanno! I didn't think OzIris was that bad. But there's the problem - for such a beautiful-looking and hyped coaster, it's a disappointment to only be able to say it's "not bad." I found the rattle to be only minor, but it was indeed the roughest B&M of the trip. The first drop in the back seat had a nice bit of air, and there was one more drop near the end of the ride with a pop of air. The positive G's just weren't there. The visuals and theming were top notch. It's a great addition to the park, and the public loved it, but I greatly preferred Black Mamba and Monster.
  7. Thanks for the report! Avalanche Run was my first "adult" coaster, since it had a lower height limit than the bigger coasters at CP. I loved it and I think it was a big part of starting my roller coaster addiction.
  8. I heard this on the radio yesterday morning and was cracking up. They made a joke about "roaming" fees! Ha!
  9. So any chance Michigan can upset Bama on opening weekend? I say 10% chance.
  10. I took the NJ Transit bus a few years ago, and it was surprisingly easy. I took the one that went direct from the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan. It takes you right to the front gates of Six Flags. You can even buy a bus ticket that includes a Six Flags admission ticket. We bought our tickets on site at the Bus Terminal, and it wasn't a problem. Just make sure you don't miss the return bus! It's a little outdated, but check out the response on this thread: www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=605760#p605760
  11. It's a bit cheaper than US parks, but very expensive for Mexico. Admission is a little over $30 USD. I bought a bottled water and it was about $1. By comparison, the all-inclusive "Pasaporte platino" at La Feria is $14 and the food/drinks seemed cheaper than Six Flags.
  12. Thanks for the TR! That's a great shot of Atlanta.
  13. ^She also said they will likely continue to replace track on GA Cyclone with topper track, but no time table was given.
  14. ^Appears so, based on the images used for SFStL. No surprises here, and should be a great family-friendly yet still thrilling ride addition to SFoG!
  15. The countdown to the 2013 attraction announcement has begun: http://www.sixflags.com/overGeorgia/guess/day.html Here are some of the images in the gif that flash on the screen:
  16. Here ya go, Chuck! It's an alien disco party on the moon with an upsidedown crocodile and a pirate fortune teller. Obviously.
  17. Nice shots as always, Hanno! Damn that drop ride hurt, it seemed much worse than Acrophobia! I was pleasantly surprised by the junior Vekoma suspended at Movie Park. The lap bars make such a huge difference.
  18. I don't think TPR has done ERT on Winjas (or Black Mamba) anytime recently, right Neil?
  19. Great pics, looks like you guys had a blast! The elephant rides look insane. I think the fruit is a rambutan, which is similar to lychee.
  20. KCForce posted about this in another thread: the coaster in the 1982 Rose Bowl Parade! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pz-SdphWO80 As far as I know it wasn't ever open to the public anywhere, but I think it counts as a credit. So bizarre!!!
  21. I'm hoping we can do a TPR iLuminate take-over! I haven't seen it yet and August 11-12 is the last weekend. Looking forward to some Mindbender ERT
  22. An Ithaca Nut Brown, on a dock on Cayuga Lake.
  23. ^Also Blue Fire and Storm, and B&R: The Chiller used to before it was reprofiled. The big deal is that this will be on a woodie!
  24. Nice pics! Walygator was better than I expected. Monster was fantastic - glass smooth and lots of intensity! Anaconda was boring, but wasn't even the worst woodie on the trip (thanks, Bandit).
  25. ^It's where you take a full cup of water on a coaster and try not to spill it! It's pretty much impossible, but incredibly fun. Here's pictures from last year's water challenge on Scream Machine: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1091096#p1091096
