  1. I had the same thing happen on Thunder Dolphin. It was a kleenex! One of the ride ops took it from me and put it in a lock-er. Bizarre.
  2. Mind Bender was closed today. Anyone know what's up?
  3. Neat aerial photo of GateKeeper from March: source
  4. I found a video of the Sharm Park looping coaster!
  5. I've been doing some online research and have found three amusement parks in Palestine (West Bank / Gaza Strip) that have now been added to RCDB. Surprisingly, there are 5 credits in the territory. Have any well-traveled TPR members been on any of these? Sharm Park in the Gaza Strip. Credits: Unknown jungle mouse coaster source Unknown looping coaster. This one looks really unique! source Mukhmas Funland in the West Bank Credit: "Train," a wacky worm. source Mega Land in the West Bank Credits: Spinning Coaster, a Chinese Golden Horse spinner source Unknown Golden Horse kiddie coaster source And plenty of other credits* at this park too! *not actually credits
  6. I went to the Din Tai Fung in Seoul... so yummy! Hope you are having fun. Looking forward to everyone's updates from Japan.
  7. Update on "Deep Space," the Premier Rides indoor launch coaster. Lap bars and two inversions: Source Source More of Nitro: Source Source Source
  8. According to their facebook page, the indoor coaster (Deep Space) is now open. A few more pictures and videos from facebook: https://www.facebook.com/video/embed?video_id=624964650849797
  9. ^Neil, it's not just for the credits, it's also to visit with Thorsten.
  10. Very neat trip report of a park we don't hear much about. Thanks for posting!
  11. Just rode Iron Rattler Sunday morning. It's a great ride. Probably in my top 15 or so steel coasters. I think I slightly prefer the New Texas Giant, but they're both excellent. My favorite parts are the airtime coming up into the first hill, the inversion, and the last hill off the cliff. For some reason they were only running one train (is something wrong with the 2nd train?) so the line became insanely long.
  12. ERT on Colossos in the pouring rain was pretty much the best thing ever!
  13. Does anybody have details on the "VIP early entry" for gold season passholders? I'll be there next weekend and I'm wondering if I'll be able to get in earlier than the posted 10:30AM opening, and if any rides open early. Thanks for any info!
  14. I have to go with Mystery Castle at Phantasialand. Fantastic ride!
  15. Fort Fun day was awesome! That Alpine Coaster was AMAZING. Top 10 material, even.
  16. I've been on all three of the US wingriders, and in my opinion X-Flight is still the best, Gatekeeper is in the middle, and Wild Eagle is third. They're all good coasters, but they rank just outside my top 35 or so steel coasters. They are still fantastic additions to their respective parks, they're beautiful/graceful, and the general public loves them.
  17. Looks like they're removing it now. Live video here: http://www.earthcam.com/usa/newjersey/seasideheights/
  18. To me, they look pretty much the same as Kvasten's and Jimmy Neutron's Atomic Flyer. What do you mean by "enclosed"? But I agree, the ride looks great. I love the lap-bar style trains on this type of coaster.
  19. Lots of new construction pictures just added on Cedar Point's website: www.cedarpoint.com/gatekeeper/galleries/construction-update-april
  20. Sky Screamer was topped out yesterday: Source: http://www.facebook.com/sixflagsovergeorgia
  21. The topper track portion is still the smoothest part by a fair margin. Overall I think it's re-rideable at this point, and I would not have said that two or three years ago. There are still some very rough parts towards the end. One of the re-done hills
  22. Georgia Cyclone is running better than it has in years. While the topper track is still only on the first two drops, new "regular" track and wood was added to a fairly large portion of the ride. There still are some very rough parts, but most of the ride is relatively smooth now. Fantastic ejector air on the 4th drop! New track in the front, compared to the old track in the back.
