^^ @WoF, the no picture rules are on the ride safety signs posted at the entrance to the rides (the one that tells you that booooooomerrang is a 5 on the intensity level) I have a pic of a haunt sign (pretty much the same as a ride sign), it's the only safety sign in my 500 pic collection from WoF -

^ across the chain I've noticed CF isn't as on top of keeping their sites updated as maybe we expect. Some parks are better at it than others and i doubt someone clicks on each page once a day or week to fact check. -
TPR T-Shirt Garage Sale!!!
chadster replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That explains it! Shipping costs have been on the move, and not the downward direction, that's for sure. As such, I am very understandable to being thrifty and you keeping our costs low. Thanks so much!!! I suppose I will take back the ugly things I've said about the post office.........today -

^ lol, they might not be able to read cherokee too well my teepee is in an apartment complex of about 150 units with a centralized retrieval location, however our wonderful postman has been known to place the wrong key for the oversize boxes in other people's mailboxes, when that happens it looks like a political campaign with all the signs that get posted about it. -

make the assumption that you actually had time to get the store orders out around the same time as the dvd's, the CTPR dvd grew wings and flew to my address, but, as usual, the post office has probably managed to flub up bigger items. Last time my TPR order came in, they marked the zip code over 4 times before delivering to the original zip code. go figure.... note: NOT complaining, just find it comical if that is indeed the case. -
Nice pictures, makes me want to book a flight next weekend!

The Official TPR Bag of Crap Thread!
chadster replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Robb you should out a gel pack or the likes in one of those bags just to see with the post man's reaction would be to a squishy bag of crap, but then again, I'm sick and demented like that. -
I like free. I usually went during the Street Rod Nationals, having a SP to SF's it was a no brainer to walk over, and the best part, it was usually dead, even on the weekend. I suppose all the car people scared off the locals or something, but, it was good fo me!. In 09 when I went, I didn't have a car, it was a last minute decision while up the road for KI, and a quick look at the schedule said go to KY. I managed to wonder around through the RV lot, past the gate to KK and past the road that splits the two sides, then, just walked on into the nationals. So much for "absolutley no one will be allowed in without credentials or a ticket" lol.

As a NHRA, and NASCAR fan, i have to ask, has anyone with TPR been to Speedzone in L.A. or Dallas, if so, what's your opinion? do you like the dragsters, go carts, atmosphere? The location in Dallas is not in the best location anymore, but is quite busy on weekend evenings and nights. I just wished they would bring back adults only at the Dallas location after 11pm.

The Golden Ticket Awards
chadster replied to FeelTheFORCE's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
the first drop on El Toro kicks a$$ i felt like I was going to come up and out of my seat each time, i could ride it all day. And while it doesn't have the shake rattle and roll, I think it's a solid ride. -

Sorry, I realize sometimes things are taken in an unintended context, maybe it's because many of us here are nerds. (I work in an office full of them, and several of us who consider ourselves to be moderate nerds have resorted to keeping out of site, out of mind, as everything said or done in the office is taken overlly literal with people arguing ands/or's/what's/not's) In the industry should have been worded differently, I will concede that. My definition of "in the industry" means having envolvement with, follower, enthusaist, etc. My overall point tho, is that these types of polls are opinion based. -
The Golden Ticket Awards
chadster replied to FeelTheFORCE's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I remember seeing both at one point several year ago. Regardless of what poll it is or how it is conducted, these are opinion polls of people in the industry. My opinion will differ from yours, which differs from mine, which differs from others whose differs from me, who differs from everyone. wow. Ok, so you get the point. I will admit, I DO look at the polls, but only to help me plan trips, ie what have I ridden, what would i like to, have I heard of that one before, etc. etc. -

i rather enjoy it, the brake run sometimes hits a little hard for me, but really, no complaints. -
^ possibly, the strange thing is I have CS5 and no issue, but then again, I think Robb said he had CS4 (could be mistaken) I'd be curious to find out if you could set it to run in xp sp3 mode and see if it continues to give you fits. if you try it out, let us know. **edit* the one thing I don't like about adobe is that even if you are not using the product (closed) it still runs background processes, some are update checkers, others are program processes for ie, etc.. I typically use msconfig and kill those at startup. BUT, when you start the programs, those processes fire up, and don't leave until you manually kill them, or reboot.

you know robb, I'm starting to think more and more it's an Adobe doesn't like Win7 issue, but, I'm gonna give it one last go. 1. If you haven't already, run PS in XP mode (right click shortcut > properties > compatibility > run in XP SP3 while your at it, place a check in the box that says "disable desktop composition 2. Check page file/increase memory right click computer > properties then on the left side, choose advanced system settings > performance settings > advanced. under virtual memory, click change. If windows is automatically managing, un check the box click custom, set the max custom settings to the reccommended amount, the currently allocated is probably less that than the reccommeneded amount, and the min to 1000. come to think of it, that might also help the not responding issue. That's about all I have up my sleeve that's left in it to try. If i had a personal subscription to gotomeeting or the likes, I could link up to it and tweak it out, but I don't have a subscription I can use for it. **edit ** if the drive is parted out, might try moving the pagefile to a different partition.
