  1. I'm pretty confident Batman is well themed, with the ride itself swopping through canyons and around wayne industries, and mr. freeze has the tunnel with lights as you launch out, that's themeing, shockwave needs no themeing, it's awesome without it
  2. First off, it's a steel coaster Unfortunatley, I think what is confusing people is that they have two signs posted at the ride, one says hybrid coaster, the other says wooden coaster for 2011. one of the two signs, don't have a shot of the other one.
  3. From the WoF Blog: The Festhaus tent is gone, they are still hinting that Festhaus will end up somewhere else, but probably not in tent form. and in case you care, or don't believe my paraphrasing, you can read the rest and a few more pictures here This is where the front of park construction will take place. and this thing is... leaving the park.
  4. ^ may not help his cause, but sure could help my cause
  5. It goes well with my title, especially after the post office made several attempts at delivering my tpr goodies to wrong addresses.
  6. at least he's not the spokesman for shake weight...
  7. um, sure i will get right on that, i would much rather donate to cff, thank you. Not enough money to even print t-shirts much less buy a hammer. I would bet she spent part of that 384 dollars on gas to "survey" the ride this past weekend.
  8. maybe somebody will want the trains or lift motor, oh who am I kidding, it's gonna be bound for the museum. The folks in Arlington will be happy to give them directions down to Texas.
  9. Thinking back, I thought that the last rehab on the ride was in April, so I went through some posts over at west coaster (which is where I remember seeing that is was down for rehab) and sure enough, they have it down on April 21st for rehab. I would think if the paint had somehow made it's way to the fins way back in April, this woulda happend before now.
  10. Jerry Lewis style might also work, have a bunch of people standing around at various intersections with souviner bottles
  11. Looks like we've found the culprit I do find it interesting that the train would stop when moving forward, but not backwards. But, knowing that they now have a complete testing schedule gives me all types of warms and fuzzies inside.
  12. ^ I believe they have until June 2011 to turn it into toothpicks, but you do bring up a good point, what happens if they don't make the deadline, I haven't seen anything on that. I would assume a well written contract would say, too bad so sad, and the bull dozer cometh.
  13. now now Robb, you are being too generous with 5 minutes of google search, I found this in 30 seconds how a roller coaster is made
  14. It's somewhere in here, you just have to read between the lines, you also have to insert your own plan... *Edit* I can tell you from first hand experience that we(we being my employer) spent 100k in labor and crane rental to help Robbie Bell take down Zingo several years back, that's on top of the rentals and labor he was out for, somewhere around 200-250k, not to mention they were using a sawsall to take it down with. The track bed was thrown away, or given away as momentos by the Bell family. The early estimates were 1 million to reassemble, probably more. So far, he still doesn't have a good plan, location, or investors. Granted he does have a leg up on these two as he built it by hand himself from a set of plans. Most of it was old wood from torn down homes and the labor was cheap (free) from local students. The county who recently offered him land and a ballot initiative for raising taxes to rebuild the park eventually had two of three commissioners vote against it. And why did they vote against it, no plan. Hopefully the two dipper savers are reading this and will take a few notes. Oh who am I kidding. On the bright side, at least he plans on popping his cherry on his own woodie.
  15. Well sports fans, it looks like WoF is not planning a thrill ride or coaster for their second project. The blog indicates that Festhuas won't return to it's current location or in its current state, and apparently not a redo of their entrance, so, just what is up their sleeve? Apparently they won't be releasing any more hints until after the 31st of Oct. Brandon says it will be awesome, and there was talk (more like rumor) of a new theatre some time ago, but just don't see the room there for that. We really need some spies at the park, of course, a total surprise is always better than say, having the plans spilt on a project only to find out we (or the plans) were wrong.
  16. hmm, wierd, I thought the economy was bad Seriously tho, my point is/was the park is doing very well, and I'm glad to see it, even if it's a major player. They've treated me very well and I have the highest regard for them.
  17. Chris - Sorry I didn't get to this until you were already, well, in the haunts. I went on opening saturday night and lines were lengthy, didn't get to everything, but then again, I did hang around Prowler alot later in the night. Curious to know how it was for you tonight, other haunt attractions for today I hear are packing them in like sardines! SFOT tomorrow for me.
  18. two weeks in a row, BGW has closed midday on saturday due to being at capacity, that's excellent news for them. Reports are the line to get in the parking lot throughout the day stretched, well, forever. Clearly they have a tremendous demand for their haunt event. Kudos to them for providing a quality product.
  19. hmmm, i wonder who would have a coaster in stock and ready to ship, Zamperla, Gerstlauer, Chance/Morgan, oh, I know, Prince Desmond has one, and the best part is, using your own truck, you can save on shipping!
  20. just when I thought lawyers had hit an all time low, I come across the website below, now this is sad and pathetic, possibly even more sad and pathetic than whoring out a kiddie coaster. Blood Sucking Lawyer Link
  21. i guess the sign that was hung in the park that someone mentioned on here a couple weeks back about three new coaster experiences wasn't lying afterall. Cedar Point, ball's in your court now.
  22. Larry - not being harsh, just stating what I feel. I'll try to be more politically correct in the future.
