Rev's lift idles when there's no train present. The station chain has its own motor but its speed matches the idle of the lift and once the train is on the lift, then the lift motor speeds up.
They still exist??? I had one of those like 10 years ago. I linked it to my Freewebs site, so bad-ass.
Angel-Fire was hosting it and the site is best when viewed with Netscape via a 56K modem connection.
The flag is what the ride's sensors "see." Rev also has proximity sensors that "see" the wheel bogies as the trains pass by. (Highlighted in image below)
Any part of a train can be used as a flag such as: Car chassis, Wheel bogie, or brake fin. It all depends on what the programmer of the ride's control system is trying to monitor.
