  1. Rev's lift idles when there's no train present. The station chain has its own motor but its speed matches the idle of the lift and once the train is on the lift, then the lift motor speeds up.
  2. Wow, that was a time warp!! And I now realize how much I just dated myself....
  3. They still exist??? I had one of those like 10 years ago. I linked it to my Freewebs site, so bad-ass. Angel-Fire was hosting it and the site is best when viewed with Netscape via a 56K modem connection.
  4. Funny thing about this is the company that makes these fans is called Big Ass Fans.
  5. Pretty bold statement, sir.
  6. Well if Coaster Alley says it then that means it's guaranteed to happen!!
  7. X2 with one train operation + Spring Break crowds =
  8. Maverick replaced White Water Landing. Edit: ^ Beat me to it.
  9. The flag is what the ride's sensors "see." Rev also has proximity sensors that "see" the wheel bogies as the trains pass by. (Highlighted in image below) Any part of a train can be used as a flag such as: Car chassis, Wheel bogie, or brake fin. It all depends on what the programmer of the ride's control system is trying to monitor.
  10. This Intamin definitely got built under the radar. Looks like a lot of fun.
  11. You've clearly never been to San Bernardino....
  12. Wow that's sad to hear. Glad Sea World released that video.
  13. In your line of work I can only imagine!
  14. How about bacon-covered strippers?
  15. Agreed. O'Hare is the pinnacle of horrible airports.
  16. Great report!! The operators will probably play rock, paper, scissors to see who has the pleasure of walking to the MCBR to do Set-Up testing every morning...
  17. ^In that case, I'd like a Manhattan, please.
  18. If anyone is interested, Riptide is now completely gone. All that remains is the queue, Dispatch Booth, and an empty fountain.
