  1. Not anymore. Looks like it just went down. A lot of people are leaving the queue.
  2. Webcam view of Fury definitely makes you "feel the sting".....
  3. It can be disappointing but the Intamin Accelerator coasters are very sophisticated pieces of machinery. Cedar Point has TTD pretty dialed in.
  4. they open it with just the front rows and progressively move back to full trains once it's warmed up. It reduces the chance of a rollback if all the weight is at the front. If Dragster's PLC is anything like Xcelerator's, it takes the average weight of every 5 launches to determine how much power is needed to get the train up to the 79.5mph that is required for a train to clear the top hat. I remember back when I worked Xcelerator a short shot was guaranteed if you completely filled a train early in the morning. Same was to be said at the end of the day. We had to slowly close off 1 row at a time for the last 10 trains or so of the day to prevent a "Catch car overtravel" fault when you sent the 1st empty train to bring the last train of guests back into the station.
  5. Disney has multiple groupers for their attractions and it works just fine. CA Screamin as an example, has a "Station Assist" on busy days which handles grouping the Single Riders that way the "stand-by line grouper" just needs to worry about filling the rows.
  6. Looks like the park put on a great event! This coaster is just what they needed.
  7. Is El Toro still having lift issues? Heard it was closed yesterday....
  8. Agreed. Viper has always had a menacing look as you round the corner to the parking booths.
  9. ^Yes S&S still supplies service parts for Arrow coasters. I agree that Viper holds memories for me as well. Still provides a vicious ride in the back row.
  10. I'm fairly confident that Knotts is NOT one the RMCs 3 projects for 2016. Maybe 2017 though! Oh I agree. I'm just pointing out that if RMC was contracted to do something it wouldn't be last minute.
  11. Very important part of the article.
  12. ^Who's to say this hasn't been planned with RMC and is part of their Scheduled projects?
  13. GR @ KBF is popular with guests but it's still a horrible ride.
  14. I would expect that from the U.S. but not Europe.
  15. ^That's what it seems like to me. I'm sure the park was just planning on closing that section of the park and carrying on. The question is, how long will said investigation take?
  16. HaHa same here! Everyone in my office knows I'm a coaster nerd. TPR interferes with my productivity at times....
  17. ^Agreed. Like you said (which has been true in my personal operational experience as well), some parks have policies that strictly prohibit operating an attraction in manual mode with guests.
  18. If employees are riding then they're doing their safety rides which is a good sign.
  19. Unfortunate. Wonder if their issues are still stemming from the green lift.
