  1. ^^^^^My point was, it looks to be an incredibly long ride to only have 2 trains. Looks like a hell of a lot of fun nonetheless.
  2. In the US I believe that title goes to The Beast @ Kings Island........someone correct me if I'm wrong. In either case it's the longest I've personally ridden.
  3. ^Very good point I didn't think about. The steel I-Beam will provide a substantially smoother ride.
  4. Actually Gerstlauer has made trains for 10 different woodies however 4 of the 10 are not in operation currently. I personally haven't been on any of their wooden coaster trains so can't comment on what kind of experience they provide.
  5. Gerstlauer was contracted to fabricate the trains.
  6. Yea looks amazing. Did you ever ride their Moonsault Scramble? If so, how was it?
  7. ^Is it rough like a TOGO? Or even worse......IS it a TOGO? That loop looks like it pulls a good amount of Gs
  8. OK thanks. Can't wait for my Texas trip in June as this clearly should be the highlight.
  9. Yea I just thinking about that cause the larger of the 3 dance area was in front of the Hyperion Theater and with ElecTRONica I don't see that happening. I actually like ElecTRONica more so than GlowFest
  10. Definitely would be a hit in any park. I know that's only an illustration and can be custom designed but looks a little long to not have a MCBR. Theoretical capacity stated @ 1190 which isn't bad by any means.
  11. Went to the 2009/2010 NYE party at DCA and was pleasantly surprised. The had 3 different dancing areas with music that everyone could enjoy regardless of age and musical taste. Was crowded but manageable. Seems to me the DCA side of the party was more adult oriented however I could be wrong. Wasn't able to make it this year unfortunately.
  12. Sorry if this has already been answered. Are either of the other 2 trains on site yet?
  13. ^^Yea it's pretty hilarious to see the riders look at each other like "WTF?!" when the train screeches to a halt.
  14. The goggles solve the sand in the eye issue. The speed envelope has been pushed even further so a 500ft coaster should be right around the corner. ^I've never been on an S&S Thrust Air coaster but I heard they were rough......This true?
  15. Hope there's a windshield on the front of the train. 149mph is aggressive! Sounds fun nonetheless.
  16. Other than the lift cable incident this past year and this recent incident, has Expedition GeForce had any other major issues?
  17. Looks like a lot of airtime for a water attraction. The Master Blasters look fun but the wait times can be excessive. Went to Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels TX in '08 and it had a 90minute wait so we passed. Are they worth that?
  18. Wow! Beautiful park! Thanks for the pics... ^^^^The Adventure Dome in Vegas doesn't impress you??
  19. Looks great!......Let's hope the entire thing can get painted next year.
  20. This modification could potentially save the park money for routine maintenance in the long run. I'm excited to get out to Texas in a couple years to ride it. Texas Giant wasn't pleasant when I rode it back in '08.
  21. ^Correct, Intamin is a design firm as is B & M.
  22. Are you going to inspect over 400 feet of cable in 30 minutes? Robb: I'm not saying that I know more than anyone else nor am I an engineer by any means. My apologies if it came out that way. Moving on.....Glad Xcel is back in operation.
  23. 3 cables from the same vendor snapping/breaking in 1 year is more than a coincidence. That's all I'm saying.
  24. ^Maybe you should contact the cable vendor and help them implement it. JK In all seriousness I get what you are saying but those steel cables are very powerful and probably would tear through any type of "shield/housing" they are put in.
