  1. ^I can see why it was removed as it probably became very expensive to maintain and obtain parts for but yea I see your point as I have some fond memories of that ride as a child.
  2. That explains the zero-g roll.......
  3. ^Windjammer was just an epic fail in sooooooooo many ways. Soap Box on the other hand was a pinnacle of engineering
  4. Those shouldn't even be necessary as you are supposed to "Keep your hands and arms inside the ride vehicle at all times"
  5. That's the whole principal behind magnetic braking. No contact = Reduced maintenance costs and smoother rider experience in terms of braking.
  6. Not to mention it makes the day go by faster if you're hustling. I love operating B & Ms cause they're capacity monsters.
  7. Yea it was annoying walking all the way around via Bug's Land to TOT and Aladdin.
  8. Let the unnecessary hype begin!
  9. And they're off......... MOD EDIT: Photos removed. We need people to credit their photo sources and we need to be diligent about this. Thank you for your understanding.
  10. Makes too much sense so simply isn't going to happen.
  11. ^Probably not so much. I'm thinking Memorial weekend.
  12. Let the professionals be the judge of that. I understand your thinking it won't fit in that space but believe me the park isn't going to build something that is too big to fit in the space allotted.
  13. There would be a use for them @ Main Brake as well to clear that block faster which will be beneficial when they are running 3 trains. Once the train enters main brake it slows to an acceptable speed then released from main brake to station approach. This would need to be done in a reasonable amount of time so that the train that's cycling doesn't get setup in the MCBR.
  14. Found out this information via Westcoaster
  15. That's why the loading gates shouldn't be left open that long.......haha
  16. ^Yea that's the best route to go at this point.
  17. So apparently the Director of Construction for Knott's states a support column for Silver Bullet is being modified/moved to accommodate WS construction.
  18. ^You are correct. The company (Velocity Magnetics) that Rocky Mountain is using for the MCBR and main brake sections has magnetic braking available that are variable. I hope this is the case cause all those brakes on the MCBR will bring the train to a crawl if they aren't variable. I guess we will have to wait until testing begins and a video surfaces. In this video you will see the manufacturer's variable brake in action. Dyna Brake
  19. HaHa looks like some pictures that would be in Shane's Amusement Attic. (Which I love BTW) Just looking at those pictures of Psyclone makes my spine tingle.
  20. Understood. In that case, Revolution and Ninja are great ways to start them off.
  21. ^You'll still have a good time regardless. Make sure you get there before opening, be first in the gates. This game plan ALWAYS works for me: Run straight to X2, Tatsu, Deja Vu, Termi.......err Apocalypse, Goldrusher, Riddler's, Batman, Scream, Colossus, Goliath, Viper, Ninja, Take Orient Express down the hill to Revolution. That may not work for everyone but works for me and even on busiest days I'm done by 2.
