  1. What makes it in your top 5? Pacing? Intensity?
  2. I don't hear much about Powder Keg. How is it?
  3. If the train makes it there and doesn't shear off the track
  4. Robb, To my knowledge the "e-brakes" at the top of the tower are the same design as the "e-brakes" behind the curtain in the station that are there to stop the vehicle in the event of a drive trip. It's just a strip of EXTREMELY powerful rare earth magnets. If the vehicle reaches the brakes behind the station it has to be winched off of the brakes very slowly. I can see how it can appear that the car is being held at the top cause I can guarantee if the vehicle reaches those magnetic brakes at the top they are powerful enough to stall the vehicle enough that from the ground it'll look like it's being held. You should pitch that idea to Sandor.......Holding brake at the top
  5. Riddler was intentionally left out cause its 3rd train is in New Jersey. They may have no choice but to have 1 train operation if the 2nd is in rehab. I'm giving the park the benefit of the doubt. Probably shouldn't, but I am.
  6. The only problem ride I see is Riddler's. Batman and Scream you'll need to be in rows 4 or 5. If you have any doubt, my recommendation would be to go up the exit to check restraint fit prior to waiting in line. In regards to time, your only wait longer than 30 minutes will probably be X2.
  7. 360 Panorama Pictures are poorly aligned but a panorama nonetheless
  8. This lack of general maintenance/upkeep is noticed before you even step foot into the park. Example: Arrive in the parking lot at 9:00 and there's a total of 10 cars in the parking lot......explain to me why 4 trash cans within my line of sight are brimming over with trash and have flies all around them??? So with this it's apparent the trash is from the day before. This is just 1 example but can put a sour taste into a guest's mouth, and quickly. 1 train operation isn't a problem for me so long as it's not the "norm." I understand trains need to be rehabbed and I appreciate the fact that the park is maintaining the ride vehicles BUT, on a coaster that can run 3 trains you shouldn't have 2 trains "unavailable" at any given time. 1 train on Ninja, Goldrusher......OK. However, 1 train on your major attractions such as Tatsu, Goliath and X2 is ridiculous. Efficiency is not on the daily agenda. I will admit, I don't usually see the operators using park phones but I do see a lot of them standing around doing nothing. If you're on break then go to your designated break area. Never fails when I ride Goliath (Just 1 example but happens at most rides)you'll ALWAYS see at least 3 or more people standing around in dispatch while 2 people check the train. Once operators are done checking the train, it will sit there while the dispatcher is distracted by the extra bodies in the dispatch booth. Now surely this looks bad to the guests but I honestly wouldn't care if I waited 30seconds in line to ride. However when the line is 45+ minutes and you see this, your blood will boil. Now don't get me wrong I'm well aware it's the off-season so reduced attraction capacities may be inevitable but with those reduced capacities the operators should be moving that much faster to maximize their attraction's throughput to the best of their ability. The off-season however is NO excuse for trash to overflow out of trash cans, the park to be dirty, or attractions not to open on time for non-mechanical reasons. The park was moving in the right direction summer of '09 and this past summer. I think they were doing a damn good job as all attractions were open at park opening, park was clean, looked well maintained, employees were being efficient and providing good guest service. It seems that lately (past 3 months) they're starting to slip a bit. Hopefully this is only temporary as I'd hate to see the park back in its 2001-2007 era. It really has potential to be a gorgeous park.
  9. There's a reason Mack only sold 2 of these.
  10. Scary because of the riding position or scary because of the ride experience??
  11. Thanks for the update. Hopefully those MFs will breathe new life into Gwazi. Cheetah Hunt is looking amazing.
  12. ^Cater to teens and the cash will flow in.................................."Xtreme Park" making a come back? I sincerely hope someone smells the sarcasm in my post.
  13. If the park invested in a "California Screamin' type" cooling system for the stators then maybe....just maybe I could see it running like a champ. Then again, there's the still the underlying problem of excessive power consumption.
  14. ^Exactly. I highly doubt that thing will be able to run at 100mph in July and August with the heat Valencia is known for. Those stators will trip their thermal protection circuit in no time. (Let alone power consumption problems that will arise) Unless the park installed some sort of cooling system we aren't aware of................ Guess we will have to wait until it's been open for at least 6 months to find out if it can withstand constant operation at 100mph. I am however, excited to "get the credit"
  15. ^^^ Most airtime I've had on any S&S attraction
  16. ^^^Must have been a good feeling to see your work helping to sell multi-million dollar machines. In all seriousness, I'm grateful they posted the video as well, as they could have easily kept us in suspense until March.
  17. Robb, Seeing that you do video work for Intamin, they should hire you to help do their commercial footage. I'm sure they're in the process of making a commercial in time for spring break promotions.
  18. Awesome!! BTMRR is my favorite attraction at the resort. (How could you not love an attraction with a goat in it?!) Love the "Ride Out The Storm" slogan.
