OK think I found it! Its a great ride don't get me wrong.......it's just the airtime wasn't there at the same time I was.

Damn! Now I'm forced to go back through the trip report....it will bug me until I find it!

^At least someone is able to get airtime on Millenium Force.......I tried and couldn't find it

Invertigo could go to MA also......never though about that. MA or VF seem like the only 2 logical choices.

^Difference is, Paramount used that area for expansion to a nicely themed water park. We will just have to wait and see what Cedar Fair has in store. My personal opinion is this is the 1st nail in the coffin.

^^^This is how Geauga Lake started.......With the removal of major attractions and promises of capital expansion. It's snickering until it ends up in the firepit of a bonfire that the City of Santa Clara is sponsoring

Those new types of Churro carts need a lot of space man......plus can you imagine how many trash cans they can fit into Invertigo's plot of land?!?!

The Invertigos were the least painful of Vekoma masterpieces That's not saying much though haha

I absoultely miss living in a part of the world that has "seasons!" --Robb You mean this 70-80 degree weather Southern California is having in the dead of Winter isn't a seasonal change enough for you?? If anything, I think more people who are ENTHUSIASTS need to see pictures like this. The better some people on this forum can understand how a park "works", the less stupid posts we'll have here. Good point......very good point. Working at park for the past 5 1/2 years has given me a new respect for the amusement industry as a whole.

^They have no idea......but they should get one. That's why i think it's cool when parks post stuff like this on their Facebooks and websites so the GP can get an idea of just how much labor goes on behind the scenes and while the park is closed.

I've operated a Boomerang for the past 5 years and it reliability is second to none compared to other attractions. Each attraction can have a personality of it's own. Vekoma Flying Dutchmans are not reliable in any sense of the word thus why Vekoma has only sold 3 of them. (I'm intentionally not counting the Stingray model) I mean don't get me wrong maybe the relocation of a ride causes issues.

I wouldn't say that. Nighthawk was down continuously from mid-July till early October this past season, and is in a dead heat with Carolina Cobra (the boomerang) as the most hated rides by Carowinds maintenance. I know for a fact the operations manager wishes that ride was never built. But yeah, I guess it's doing just fine. 1st generation Boomerang's are pretty reliable. Nighthawk had lift gear box issues middle of this past season so yea that thing seems like a nightmare in regards to maintenance and the extremely low capacity it has. Kings Dominion or King's Island maybe? Both of those are above 300ft

^ LOL Try 224ft. Even with that, you're right that's still a decent height. I guess noise would more so be an issue as opposed to height. The Invertigo plot of land is more inward so noise is less likely to travel outside of the park. The original location of the GCI would have wrapped around the Sky Tower which is on the perimeter of the park close to office buildings.

The park has a height restriction so don't think anything too tall can be put in that spot, or anywhere in the park for that matter. Invertigo would fit lovely in Boomerang's spot........
