Nothing gets soldered to a ride unless it involves the rides electrical wiring. Arrow thought of this and on paper it looked good but they found it not to be possible as it wouldn't be reliable. B&M may have something up their sleeve for future "4-D" attractions but Raptor will probably stay "as is."

Exactly. Jaguar's (KBF) height requirement used to be 42" but because of the lap bar design Cedar Fair bumped it up to 48"

^^Invertigo will be in a new market and can be marketed as a new attraction. Even though it's almost confirmed to be going to Dorney we all know that Cedar Fair can change things last minute. IE: Demon Drop's original destination was Knott's and look where it ended up.....

I don't blame Cedar Fair for everything. Cedar Fair is doing what Marriot and Paramount did.....try to work with it and fix it up to be presentable and try to market it. The park could have limped along with the b*tchy neighbors alone but now with this stadium project moving along full steam ahead Cedar Fair has to make a decision and decide if keeping the park is in their best interest. The park's nostalgia and memories only go so far. Cedar Fair is trying to run a business. Some people on here call me negative but I'm a realist. No, I don't want to see the park close but that may be the reality sooner than later. I truly hope I am wrong though cause I like going to CGA when I travel to Nor Cal every summer.

^^^I was thinking the same thing, but after a closer look it doesnt look like theres a mechanism to rotate the seats so we should be safe. I hope this ride doesn't become a thorn in B&M's side.

Hmmmmm. Sounds like Invertigo to me. The article says Cedar Fair applied for a permit for 138ft tall and Invertigo is 131ft tall but that 7ft doesn't mean much. Thanks for sharing.

The Flamingo also has a notable breakfast/brunch buffet. They also have a $30 "all you can eat" wristband deal that includes 5 buffets (Rio , Flamingo, Caesers Palace and 2 others) for 24hrs. Great deal. How is the Palms? I've never been.

SINGAPORE: After almost a year of being grounded, the world's tallest duelling roller coaster, the Battlestar Galactica, will resume operations on February 21. Channel NewsAsia understands that authorities have given Universal Studios Singapore the required license to reopen the ride. In a statement, Universal Studios said officials had worked closely with Singapore authorities and theme park safety experts to determine the cause of the failure and to correct the fault. The ride went through months of re-engineering and thousands of test cycles. It was shut down in March last year, just weeks after a grand opening of the theme park, after a failure had been detected on one of the seats during routine checks. The fault was attributed to fatigue cracks detected in a welded component of the seat's support structure, the part which attaches the coaster's seat to its frame. All welded components for the seats have since been replaced with a new machined part. Prior to re-opening, Universal Studios Singapore will host a series of special events, including dedicated ride access times for team members of Resorts World Sentosa, invited guests from the ride's sponsor Panasonic and annual pass holders. During this period, park guests may also be invited to ride on the coaster as operational procedures are refined. Mr John Hallenbeck, Vice President of Park Operations, Resorts World Sentosa, said: "Battlestar Galactica is a signature and prominent ride at Universal Studios Singapore and we are so excited about it taking to the skies again. We expect sellout crowds and are advising guests who have been waiting for Battlestar Galactica to book their February tickets in advance." Battlestar Galactica, themed after the hit TV show about an on-going battle between Cylons and Humans, is comprised of both the suspended 'Cylon' coaster and the seated 'Human' coaster that chase each other on twisting integrated tracks. Riders on both coasters experience unbelievable thrills as they zoom, loop, turn and narrowly avoid collision. Each Battlestar Galactica track is a kilometer-long and the ride takes approximately 90 seconds to complete.
