  1. Trims wouldn't be a problem if so many coaster enthusiasts didn't black out. I say we blame the community!
  2. Steel Force - can't go wrong with airtime! Hydra - the Jo-Jo roll is pretty creative, crazy layout, and the drop is fun The Great Nor'Easter - an SLC without headbanging? It's more awesome than you think! Fahrenheit - might not be totally underrated, but still deserves more praise with that insane first drop. Wild One - has better ejector than El Toro in my opinion. A classic in all respects.
  3. I already like where this is going... Yeah, Nightcrew REPRESENT. Join the insanity and get a way cool free signature!
  4. ^What a horrible POV. Half of the ride is censored! Well, at least the quality is nice.
  5. Since my home park is Great Adventure, I would say it's a three way tie between Nitro, El Toro, and Scream Machine as my favorites. But if I had to choose one, it would be Nitro!
  6. Actually, yes. A regular Wild Mouse would be amazing. Those rides were designed to be outdoors and in the open, not inside a cramped box with mediocre theming! You know, a regular wild mouse wouldn't look half bad at SFA.
  7. Rolling Thunder. But Lightning Racer is good too.
  8. ^^Who says it isn't possible? http://www.rcdb.com/220.htm?p=16078 But I highly doubt SFMM management would ever try this sort of thing on Goldrusher. The ride op was probably joking anyway!
  9. Kingda Ka. The train shuffles so much, the ride up the tower is always a shakey blur! The thrilling launch and view from the top are the only redeeming factors about this ride. If it wasn't for that, it would be a stinky pile of mess coaster! And before anyone really asks, Rolling Thunder isn't rough.
  10. I'm dying to say 'El Toro' like everyone else, but I think im going to go with Wild One at SFA. I was surprised to find that riding it in the back gives you more prolonged and more "comfortable" airtime than El Toro ever does. Plus the small PTC bars don't staple you in like Toro does. It's a very solid and underrated ride in my opinion.
  11. Pink? El Toro is now pink?! Thats embarassing, yet hilarious! Props to the Six Flags Ad department for not even themeing the ads, way to go! Give yourself a slap on the head.
  12. Those old Rolling Thunder pics just made my day Shane! It really did look bigger without Kingda Ka or El Toro in the way! I really enjoyed this update along with seeing the old Lightning Loops, Screamin' Demon, Shockwave, and Colossus. Good work there Shane!
  13. I can't imagine GADV ever considering removing a large ride like Scream Machine for a puny Mega-lite. If any major theme park ever deserved a mega-lite, it would definitely be Dorney Park. The park never really gets too big of a crowd and Dorney has alot of room for expansion right now. The empty spot where Laser once was is the perfect place for a ride like Piraten or Kawasemi!
  14. Streetview is good only becuase you can tour virtual Hersheypark! And the pictures don't come out half bad either!
  15. Nice name... Anyway, looks good so far. If you wanted to get some "Trippy LSD" thing going on, I think you got it! The trackwork is so insanely twisted, and the colors for the lift blend very well. Keep going with the "Colorblending" idea and you'll have one crazy ride!
  16. Would it be possible to somehow salvage good peices of wood and track and make an entirely different ride? It probably wouldn't be feasable or even safe, but with a ride of this size, you can't just "throw it out". But a stray match could probably solve this situation even quicker!
  17. The last coaster I rode was Kingda Ka a couple of weeks ago on a wet and foggy day.
  18. It looks very Intamin-ish with the wavy turns and multiple launch sections. the layout looks very similar to other Intamin LSM coasters in some aspects. Launch 2 looks like it will be one of those "Lift Hill Launch" elements like in at the beginnning of Maverick. Maybe this will be a Maverick/iSpeed hybrid of some sort! Also, assuming everything on the layout is correct, is this ride going to launch out of the station?
  19. ^ Considering there is more than one "standard" SLC model, I would assume you could invest in the "689m Standard" if you wanted an average clone of every other SLC. But there are other custom models that can be made as well. Blue Tornado at Gardaland has an extra helix before the brakes and The Great Nor' Easter at Morey's Piers has a custom layout to fit within the space they had. So it is basically up to the client what they want in thier SLC.
  20. These are some super amazing pictures Shane! I've been a long time Morey's fanatic, and I always wondered what Kamikaze looked like on the old Hunt's/Dino Pier location. Funny how it looks so much like Great Nor'Easter with it's all white paint. Your pics never cease to amaze me!
  21. Mine is the pride of Plaza Del Carnival! The white wonder known as Rolling Thunder!! I don't know about the other brown coaster in the back, though.
  22. Nice PTR. Hersheypark is looking very good, as usual! I'm pretty bummed about not going again this year. Storm Runner is one of the best rides out there.
  23. Awesome PTR! Opening day was amazing this year. Everything looked so fresh for 2010 with everything newly painted. Too bad most of the rides were not going at optimal speed that day because of the wind chill. I think you even managed to snap a pic of me on El Toro's first drop! Really looking foward to a thrilling season this year!
