  1. 1. Alpengeist 2. Possessed 3. Great Bear 4. Talon 5. Great Nor' Easter 6. Batman: The Ride 7. other SLC's
  2. Roller Coaster + Frog Hopper = After watching the previews, I was very suprised when I first saw offride footage of the "vertical drop". I thought it would be a bit ... slower. Probably the most interesting coaster i've seen in quite a while. Just hope that killer downtime doesn't curse this ride into obscurity!
  3. ^Considering it's not listed on the official website, I would go ahead and say no. But with Six Flags, you can't always guess. Houdini opening late last year was pretty surprising.
  4. Definitely not the worst "first" coaster, but still very problematic. But most of these problems can only be fixed by experience, (eg. pumps, bad transitions). The best tip I can give you now is to get familiar with custom supports, and also try to stay away from pre-made elements. Keep playing around with Nolimits, good skill comes with age!
  5. Good to see i305 construction rolling along smoothly! I had some have doubts weather it would have decent airtime, but the vid really speaks for itself! That thing went flying!
  6. ^^Do Pilgrims Plunge, Journey to Atlantis, Splash Mountian, Tidal Force, Poseidon, Jurrasic Park River Adventure, or Dudley Do-Right count?
  7. Cool pic, Cedar Point looks so heavenly! I lol'd at little Raptor peeking out of the clouds.
  8. Those bulky shoulder pads look very ominous...and painful. Intamin's regular shoulder retraints look more comfortable than bashing your entire body against that thing! Aside from that, the train looks amazing!
  9. Verizon EnV I got way back in '08. That thing should have died months ago. It has a broken screen and survived me dropping it on Hydra, But I still love it so!
  10. ^I think the chutes looked better when the colors agreed with GASM. Any color other than white or red looks a bit odd for that area. Then again, the Boardwalk theme never really stuck for the park. Also, I'm very pumped for opening day! Can't wait to see Tornado later in the year. Really hoping no flats will be removed, and Houdini should re-open again too!
  11. First Park: Six Flags Great Adventure First Coaster: El Toro or Nitro First New Park: Six Flags America First New Coaster of 2010: Hopefully Rock n' Roller Coaster First Food Bought: Turkeylegs!!!
  12. Oh great, PETA ruins everyone's fun ... AGAIN! I'm not saying they can't protest if they want to, But isn't this a little overboard? A simple protest outside the gates would send a stronger message compared to flying a plane brigade over the entire property!
  13. Arrow Dynamics. Probably the most innovative company for it's time. They did so much for the coaster industry, like creating Mega Loopers, Suspendeds, and Hypers. But too outdated by today's standards of Intamin and B&M. They still have thier appeal, (Minus the headbanging!)
  14. From my experience riding Wildcat (@HP) with and without PTC trains, Millenium Flyers may be the best thing to happen to this coaster. If it does eventually use the Flyers, Gwazi may almost be good as Lightning Racer! Smooth and Re-Rideable! Good to see Busch keeping thier coasters in good shape!
  15. Texas Giant is gonna look pretty freaky by the end of all this. If all goes as planned, (Which I for some reason doubt), it will have a barely vertical drop, 95 Degree turns, and funny looking red steel tracks. Do I sense a surprise Bizarro makeover in the future? Texas Giant is probably going to be the most interesting coaster to watch over the next couple years.
  16. Hello TPR! Im RollingRunner! Long time lurker and PTR reader, I finally decided to join! To start, my home park is Six Flags Great Adventure. My favorite rollercoaster (as of now) is Storm Runner. But my secret love is for Rolling Thunder! I have been on about 64 coasters so far, and plan to ride many more in the future! I also like to design coasters in the all-powerful NoLimits Simulator! Well, thats it about me! Hope to have a nice time on TPR!
