  1. I guess you could say that one is partially true as a train did in fact get stuck upside down on a Schwarzkopf shuttle loop in Belgium.
  2. Since I'm currently in Netherlands..... Heineken!
  3. Finally I can contribute to this topic again! Goliath - Walibi Holland
  4. ^Yup, full launch (or close to) followed by a quick stop. After about 5 mins they reversed the train back a little and evacuated us off the ride.
  5. If they had not gotten the ride back up and running again later in the day, would making it to the end of the launch track have counted as getting the credit?
  6. Well, let's hope it's back up and running again tomorrow! And in case anyone missed it, I will be at Walibi Holland by myself tomorrow so if any locals wants to meet up let me know.
  7. I feel that I'm just repeating myself for every update, but holy crap!!!
  8. Calling all Walibi Holland locals!!! Due to an urgent business trip I will travel down to Holland this coming Sunday (May 1st). Insted of travelling down on Sunday evening I decided to fly to Amsterdam early in the morning instead, and visit Walibi Holland that day. Anyone wants to meet up?
  9. Every time I hear someone complain because their homepark "only has 13 coasters" and "we deserve a new rollercoaster because we haven't gotten one in 6 years" I want to scream! In fact... I'm gonna do it right now. AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!
  10. That's a seriously cool model, well done! I would also love to see some construction pictures.
  11. Sometimes train maintenance can make a HUGE difference! I remember at Mirabilandia back in 2005, they were running two trains on Katun. One was running smoothly, while other train was shaking quite bad,
  12. ^Those are some interesting cars! Not sure if I like them, or if they freak me out.... or both!
  13. Two different countries, but also two very similar languages.
  14. Fantastisk! Jeg ser virkelig fram til å besøke Kolmården i sommer! (Yes I'm so excited I had to write that in Norwegian)
  15. Nice trip report! I like these little festivals that more parks seems to be adding. While it's a far cry from Flower & Garden or Food & Wine, it does look pretty good for what it is. While I do agree with this statement, it would be a bit sad to do it on the first ride of the day...
  16. What a strange park! The entrance and the Dinosaur area looks really good. You then have one third of the park where it looks like they just went crazy and bought every single ride in the catalogue, and plopped them down RCT style. And then on the other side there looks to be one hell of a long walk to to get to the Intamin looper. The big fountain looks great at night though, with all the lights and lasers! Oh and btw, anyone else found this part hilarious??
  17. That was a great trip report, I enjoyed it very much! Very well written, it's not so often I read through entire trip reports this long, but on this occasion I did and I don't regret it.
  18. I would say this went quite well...
  19. I f***ing hate cyclists!
  20. This morning it was snowing! A perfect day to change to summer tires on my car. (it was only wet snow, it didn't stay on the ground)
  21. Pretty sure that bumper is there purely to prevent any mechanical damage to the trains in case they should bump together at low speed in the station/brakes/transfer area. You can find that bumper on all B&M's, not just the floorless ones.
  22. I saw those pictures on facebook. Really makes you realize the horrors that those poor people must have gone through.
  23. My closest park is Kongeparken, which is 227 km (141 miles) away. As I would have to take two ferries along the way to get there, were probably talking about 4 1/2 hours to get there by car. Since they can only offer a Vekoma family coaster and a Reverchon spinner, I have not bothered making the trip and I have no intention of doing so either with the current offering. Tusenfryd, which is the only amusement park in Norway with "adult coasters", is 471 km (292 miles) away. About 7 hours to drive as Norwegian mountain roads are not made for high speeds. Oh, how I wish Vikinglandet becomes a reality! It would be fantastic to have a park only 109 km (68 miles) away. Travel time would probably be around 2 - 2 1/2 hours due to having to take one ferry along the way. But for me that would be close!
