  1. I consider myself to have 2 home parks, Kings Dominion and Busch Gardens Williamsburg. The top coasters from those parks are Intimidator 305 and Apollo's Chariot.
  2. ^ Agreed. I will ride it tomorrow and make up my mind on the matter. KDFansite is up in arms against everybody from Dick Kinzel, John Pagel, Intamin and their evil Cable...
  3. ^^^^^ Steve. I have ridden both Thunder Road and Rebel Yell this season on both sides on both coasters and Rebel Yell in the whole is relatively smoother. The renovated sections of Thunder Road are exceptional though. Hurler and Grizzly over the last two season have received allot of TLC to make both of them GP friendly. Grizzly had its infield trees removed just incase a train stopped on the anti-roll backs on the up-climb to the turnaround so evacuations could be done. Its the same reason that the metal wire "fence" was built on the banking turnaround of Grizzly. Maintenance at KD's main concern has been Rebel Yell which has receive allot of inhouse work. In the long run, Thunder Road's renovation will make it practically brand new. For Now, I think Rebel Yell is better. As for the hot-topic trim brake, like Steve said, economic and maintenance reasons.
  4. ^ HAHAHA. And I though KDFansite tended to overeact... That's a great laugh. I'll be there on Monday, sad I won't get to ride. *shoulder shrug*
  5. This looks promising... I hope the Weber continues the families campaign as well revive the coaster wars!
  6. I have only ridden Vortex and Georgia Scorcher. The Scorcha is my pick. I will be riding Mantis in about a week and I'll make up a decision of the three then.
  7. Tha good looking stickers. Not the bad looking ones!
  8. My top parks... 1. The Animal Kingdom 2. Epcot 3. The Magic Kingdom 4. Busch Gardens Williamsburg 5. Disney's Hollywood Studios 6. Islands Of Adventure 7. Dollywood 8. Hersheypark 9. Seaworld 10. Six Flags Over Georgia 11. Carowinds 12. Kings Island 13. Kings Dominion 14. Six Flags America HM. Go Kart Plus
  9. From the few GCII's that I have ridden I find them riddled with airtime. I also find that the New Style of Intamin Giga Coasters has lots of ejector airtime, and many of the B&M Hypers, especially the first one has allot of airtime (especially in the back row).
  10. I'll be there on the following Monday through Wednesday. My first trip!
  11. ^ Yeah the video was great! I personally loved seeing all of the old paint jobs on Anaconda and Shockwave. I think its funny that in 1995 they were the two premier coasters in the park other than Rebel Yell and Grizzly, and now, 15 years later, Allot of people can't wait to see them leave(I'm not one of them; (You just gotta know how to ride 'em)). And CFC, I've never noticed the trims hit as well. Maybe once last summer...
  12. ^ Dominator had the trims before the Cobra Roll when Six Flags had the coaster before 2003 (If I am correct). Like Steve said, its a maintenance thing. Its cheaper to put in another trim brake than continual replacement wood and a possible lawsuit from those horrid turns.
  13. I watched Iron Man 2 again yesterday and retract my comment from earlier.... The movie is pretty "Kick-A**"
  14. ^Your not wrong. I hope to add Talon and Raptor to my list this year...
  15. 1. Afterburn 2. Alpinegeist 3. Fire Dragon 4. Great Bear 5. Batman (SFOG)
  16. Of the tunnels I have traversed by far my favorite was the "Themed Loch Ness Monster Tunnel" that featured strobe lights and a light-up LNM. It was awesome. Too bad strobe lights are bad for people. The tunnel is still great though.
  17. ^ If KD's Hurler is anything similar to what Carowinds Hurler does with the trim break then I probably wont be taking a ride on it anytime this season. I have found grizzly a smoother woodie, which is quite sad. The best thing that the park could do would be to remove the Hurler and put an attraction back there that will draw a crowd. BTW, is Shockwave (the forgotten coaster) still closed?
  18. AC/DC + Robert Downey Jr. + Justin Theroux + Scarlett Johannson doing 90% of the movies "real stunts" + Gwyneth Paltrow doing it "like a boss" + Don "Imma War Machine" Cheadle + Jon Favreau's sense of humor + MAVERL STUDIOS + Geoge Lucas creating modern day CGI + Stan Lee as Larry King + bad a** Mickey Rourke being a bada** with his bird + Samuel L. Jackson being Samuel L. Jackson + the colors red and gold + ummm... Iron? = Awesome. That's my review. 8.5/10
  19. ^ Thanx again, I going up with a couple CP Veterans who "say" they know their way around the park. I'm just hoping for No Rain and No Crowds. Of Course you can't have one without the other... I know the must hit rides for my three days there are TTD, Mav, Mag, MF, MaxAir, Skyhawk, and Raptor. Are there any others I definitely need to add to my list?
  20. ^Thanks for the advisement. Sadly, reservations are hard to cancel on such short notice... But hey, hopefully I'll couple good rides in!
  21. I'm getting the message that choosing to go to Cedar point during opening week was a bad idea... What wait times should I expect at their maximum limits?
