I was working in the Lazer Zone when the Xcelerator cable snapped, and word about it spread pretty quickly throughout the park. When I walked past the station today there was a pulley system setup to take out the cable. One train was on the transfer track and the other on the brake run. I can't really tell how fast they will get it up and running, I'm hoping very soon though. Here are some pictures I got today around the park including some Haunt construction. Windseeker's Evac System has been moved back to the ride to make room for the Gunslinger maze The beginning stages of building the Gunslinger maze The park recently added some Boysenberry plants under Silver Bullet Progress on the Houdini maze

I enjoyed going to the preview event to find out all the mazes lined up for this year. I guess I'm still just trying to figure out all of the locations, this is what I've come up with. Slaughterhouse - Camp Snoopy Trick-or-Treat, Endgames, Dominion, and Delirium - Gypsy Camp Gunslinger (previously Fallout Shelter) - Silver Bullet Lake Pinocchio - Dance Hall Forevermore (previously Terror of London) - Mystery Lodge Black Magic (previously Uncle Bobo) - Xcelerator So that leaves Mirror Mirror and Trapped left. We know Dia de los Muertos is not returning, and now I keep hearing mixed opinions on whether Virus Z is coming back. At first I assumed Mirror Mirror would go in the bumper cars, but a Scary Farm Facebook update said it would be placed in Necropolis. And I've heard that Trapped will not be in the Lazer Zone this year. It will be very interesting to see where exactly all the mazes will be placed, I'm really excited for Haunt now!

Unnecessary Queuing Lines

This can be so frustrating when there is no line. They need to be able to have those turning bars at certain points in the line so people don't have to walk through the entire line if there isn't anyone waiting. -
Worst Ride Name

Coastrider and Smiler. -
I went to the park on Superbowl Sunday hoping it wouldn't be that crowded. It turned out almost every coaster was only running one train which made the lines a lot longer than expected. On top of that, three rides broke down just as I got to the front of the line. I still managed to have a decent day even from all of the bad luck I seemed to take in.

If I were to guess at a timeline, I'd guess that the park will keep Colossus open through the end of Fright Fest and promote "last time ever" for backwards Colossus like crazy. They would then either close the ride right after, or run it through winter break before closing it. Given the size of the attraction, I'm thinking it will take 12-16 months to rebuild, so I wouldn't expect the refurbishment to be complete until Spring/Summer 2015. With YOLOcoaster opening this year, I wouldn't be surprised if the park gets little to nothing for 2014. Perhaps Hurricane Harbor could finally get a major new attraction next year instead. That's what I'm hoping they will do, I've been trying to get on backwards Colossus for years, and this would be my year to finally get on it now that I have a pass. And Hurricane Harbor does desperately need a new attraction.
