B&M vs Intamin
alpengeist04 replied to alpengeistdude321's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
While I have more B&Ms in my top 20, nothing B&M has built in the last 8 years can come close to S:ROS(SFNE), El Toro, or Storm Runner for that matter. Now if B&M could go back to making kick arse rides like Kumba, Montu, Dueling Dragons, and Nemesis then I might have to think a little harder on this. With all that said it's an easy choice for me, definitely Intamin. -
Top / Best Amusement Park (s)
alpengeist04 replied to bodombeast's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
1-IOA/USF- This choice is a no-brainer. They have the best overall dark ride(Spiderman), best water rides(Dudley & Popeye), best invert(DD), best inclosed coaster(ROTM), and best shooting dark ride(MIB). Need I say more. 2-BGE 3-BGA 4-Hershey Park 5-Magic Kingdom -
Dont you ever get Scared?

At this point, the only thing that makes me a little nervous are ferris wheels. -
I assume you're talking about the all time highest grossing movie, right? Titanic? Actually, the fair way is to adjust for inflation. If that's the case, it would be #6 all time. Anyway, I don't think this movie will appeal to as wide array of movie goers as Titanic did, therefor IMO won't come close to being one of the biggest movies of all time. For the record, my definition of one of the biggest all time movies would be $400 million plus.

That's a mighty big statement there.

Since it's Intamin, be sure to book your tickets for August and not opening day. Very true. -

The day they announce it, will be the day I buy my plane ticket to Charlotte. As for Diamondback, I think it'll be a very nice addition to the park and I'm happy to see Kings Island finally get a B&M. ...But I'm really in no rush to go and ride it, I have a couple of Intamins I have to plan trips around first. -

If Kings Dominion and Carowinds ends up with a hyper in the future, one of them is bound to be an Intamin. At least I hope so. -

I really love the look of the trains. The layout reminds me a little of Nitro with a splashdown and extra helix thrown in. -
^As far as DD's queue change, it's been mentioned that 90% of the skeleton's may be removed and that you'll get a close-up view of the Goblet. Just like in the movie it will be displayed on a pedestal and have the blue flames coming out. ...and while DD may get repainted and renamed to fit the Tri-Wizard Tournament theme, the layout itself will not be touched.

The Mummy 3- 4.0/5.0 I thought the Mummy 3 was your typical fun summer movie overall, but it loses points for not having Rachel Weisz in it. While I liked the movie, it was missing that "certain something" that made the first Mummy movie so enjoyable. ...maybe that certain something was Rachel.

I'm going with two Florida Vekomas, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster and Expedition Everest. -
The Dark Knight is definitely racking up the numbers, but it still has a ways to go to catch Indy 4 worldwide. ...I'm sure it will in time.
