^How are you allowed to serve beer?!?!? Isn't that illegal!?
-
Right now we are full, with two people on our wait list. You are welcome to join the wait list if you'd like with a fully refunable $150 deposit. There will be 53 of us on the UK Portion of the Tour. We do have a few openings for the 'add on portion' where we will spend a quick two days going to Liseberg and Tusenfryd. Let me know if you may be interested in that!

Theme Park Review's Spring Party!
SharkTums replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I gotta say, I'm not too hot on the Elissa's Birthday idea! I mean, it seems a little self-centered, and not everyone knows me that much anyways! Seriously, I never celebrate it anyways! -
Hey, you gotta think there are thrill seeking rodents too right!
-
Wow a commercial with Nintendo and Rodents, I'm all about that!

I think that Barry's birthday thread will be the biggest yet!!! Hey Barry, do you have a song to the tune of Happy Birthday!??!

Celebrities and Athletes you've met...
SharkTums replied to SixFlagsTexas's topic in Random, Random, Random
Yeah, I do feel bad about going up to them...but then I realize that people come up to Robb and I all the time and we deal with it...They get paid a lot more than we do so they should have to deal with it also! Seriously though, I'm very polite and ask if it's okay to take a picture. It helped this time that I was wearing my Special Olympics stuff and he was making a donation! Technically Kiefer Sutherland gave me $60!!! -
Damn, that really sucks... Robb and I had a lot of fun getting to play with him at your party! I'm really bummed right now! Might I suggest two or more guinea pigs to fill the void?

^LOL, if I only had my video camera!

Theme Park Review's Spring Party!
SharkTums replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Question for everyone!!! Those of you who have come in the past know we always have some sort of theme...here's some that I'm considering for this party, what does everyone think would be cool? - Around the World (theme of the new dvd) - Carnival - Elissa's Birthday! - TPR - St. Patricks Day - Oriental (to celebrate Tatsu) - Just have a normal party. What does everyone think? Just FYI, I'm planning a TPR Casino night for one of the next parties so that's why it's not on the list this time! Also I think that 'Carnival' might be fun for another time and really go all out. BTW, we are up to 41 people! -
Ultimate European Theme Parks Awards 2005
SharkTums replied to Francois's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I participated in the poll last year, and now have even more European experience to add! I urge all of you who've been there to make your vote count! Thanks for taking the time to do this! -
The "Sören´s Way To Disney" Thread

I laughed at the US Embassy Photo also! I don't know if Paranoid is the right word, obnoxious, pompous, yeah I guess paranoid works too maybe!?!?? -
It is 'soft open'. This means that it will be open on most days, most of the time, but at the same time could close at any moment, for who knows how long. You can call the park on the day you're planning to visit to see if it's running.

Robb was/is at work! Technically I was at work also! (Actually I was off the clock volunteering at the time!)

Autistic high schooler scores 20 points in 4 minutes
SharkTums replied to Jonathan's topic in Random, Random, Random
Yeah I work with Children and Adults with Autism and Aspergers all the time. I swear I've had better conversations and interactions with them then most adults! Plus, they can kick my butt in most of our Special Olympic Sports! -
Still not as cool as... Living in California is weird...
-
Kiefer Sutherland! We were putting on a Special Olympics event at a local restaurant and he just happened to be there. He was nice enough to make a small donation and take a picture with me. (See I knew there's a reason I always carry my camera now!) I thought he actually looked pretty good in person as opposed to a lot of celebrities I've seen that obviously need their hair and makeup team! He was on his way to the 24 set to film some night stuff up here in Santa Clarita. See, now here's a reason to do Volunteer Work!!!

I would be very careful. Depending on when, what train, what seat, you can get a very Vekoma ride on it. If she's at all careful do NOT put her on that ride. I would suggest that you ride first (in a non-wheel seat, towards the middle of the train) then come back around and tell her what you think. That way you can also prepare her for where to brace and whatnot.

Space World to Get Rocket Coaster
SharkTums replied to MSLSM's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Space World is on the Southern Island of Japan, named Kyushu. About 5 - 7 hours by bullet train from Tokyo. The park is extremely easy to get to and has it's own JR Rail Station. If you look at a map it is near the major city of Fukuoka. -

Volunteering can be fun and can lead to some pretty awesome stuff! I deal with Volunteers everyday at my job and have written them letters of recommendation, gotten them jobs, given them free stuff and awards, etc. I would go for it!
