  1. When I saw this story a few days ago on the Today Show, they kind of implied that this may all be a big ploy to get famous as they actually sold the footage of them with the dolphins and penguin to various outlets. Really terrible humans.
  2. I didn't even bother riding that coaster that day (already had the credit) and this picture pretty much confirms my decision!!!
  3. ^That's a bummer. The person who dedicated so much time to it and make it great just moved to a different Six Flags park so the timing does kind of make sense. As if they were waiting till he was gone to take it down to avoid drama. Ugh, really a shame.
  4. ^Great idea, it will be well worth the money!
  5. Hey there! With our move to Orlando came some fun new opportunities for KT this summer. I see that Sea World offers a day camp program for kids her age and she seems really interested. I know *NOTHING* about it though and was wondering if anyone on the boards had ever taken part in the Sea World or Busch Gardens day camps as a young kid or sent a kid or maybe saw the little kids during the summer. Just trying to figure out how much they're outside, what they feed them, if they do rides, etc. Let me know, thanks!
  6. ^I believe it's already done it's pullthru, give it a week or two of circuit testing and it will be good to go!
  7. ^LOL! I don't like coffee, but I usually love the smell of it. However, the smell of burnt nescafe as you would enter DCA would make me nauseous!!!!
  8. ^I am still so angry about how they ended that show!!!! Josh Duhamel
  9. I wonder if they're allowed to put it on the cruise line or if RCCL has an exclusive deal for the only Starbucks at Sea?
  10. ^I'd say maybe Colin, but no one will be able to find him with those demure shirts he wears!
  11. ^Actually, you have a chance as she will not be going to China with us. We sat down together with her, my parents, and us...talked about the pros and cons to going or staying home and we let her decide. It will be the first month of Kindergarten and it's a lot of crap in China! She's already done the Panda's and Great Wall, so we'll probably wait and take her back for the next China trip.
  12. Well, since we just got back from another TPR Adventure I updated the little (but ever growing) spreadsheet I have for Kristen to keep a record of where she's been and her coaster count. I know some of you are interested in this, especially as she gets taller and starts to challenge your coaster count, so here it is! Keep in mind, this could be off by a few coasters or parks as I've tried to keep an accurate count, but I'm not one of those insane people and just go off memory when I have time to fill it in. As of April 2012 - States: 30 Countries: 30 Coasters: 174 (Jeff Johnson credits) 137 (actual credits) ...damn that's a lot of powered coasters!!!! Parks: 273 And what does she think of all of this? Well, she'll tell you that her favorite countries to visit are: Japan, Australia, and the UAE (Dubai) Favorite States: California, Florida, Utah, New York Favorite Parks: Tokyo Disney, most Japanese parks, Disney Parks Favorite Coasters: Bee Coaster in Japan, Roller Skaters (especially Dragon at Legoland Florida), and Wacky Worms (especially the one in Oman where her bar popped up and there was insane airtime on the drop) And for you purists, she's been on eight woodies...she's generally not a fan of them and has even turned down riding some that she was allowed on last summer.
  13. I totally forgot that they had gotten a Sky Loop!?!? And speaking of Angry Birds, any chance you'll head up to Sarkanniemi for the Angry Birds stuff? Curious to see what they actually are doing. Looking forward to getting back to the Scandi parks within the next year or two.
  14. ^According to their page they also did the spinning coaster at Mall of America! Oh China...it would be funny if it wasn't so terrifying!
  15. ^^I can see my future room in those pictures of Allure!!! Can't wait to get on her again!!!!
  16. ^Glad to hear there's at least some progress being made. It's a small ride, but I really wonder what date they're shooting for at this point. Any pix?
  17. Still debating going to try and check this out before the TPR Italy trip in June!!! It's got to just look spectacular in person!
  18. ^Somewhere right now, Robb is silently screaming...oh wait, it's not silent!
  19. So the ride was testing yesterday? Yeah, that pretty much puts that rumor out of the question. Shocking.
  20. ^Yeah, I heard about this yesterday morning and it seems like everything worked just as it should and two or three years ago you wouldn't have even heard about an 'incident' like this. That being said, sure looks like the RCCL fire systems worked perfectly, they alerted the guests, and everything went just fine!
  21. It looks and feels ridiculously like IOA...very odd for someone who knows the Universal parks so well to go visit this one.
  22. Very nice of you to post this info, thanks!
