^But how can you say that? The Arrow 4D's and the Intamin Wing Riders are VERY intense. -
Madrid's Parque Warner rumoured to close
SharkTums replied to coastered's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Was there any actual evidence that the park is closing or losing a lot of money? Just because an out of the way train line isn't doing well I don't think that directly correlates to the park closing down. There were plenty of buses and cars there when we've visited in the past. -
Disneyland Paris (DLP) Discussion Thread

^The Soarin' concept with a new more worldly film has been a rumor at several Disney Parks. If it goes anywhere I think it should go to Disney Sea, seems like it would fit in beautifully there and they'd somehow make it actually fly or teleport you to the places knowing Tokyo Disney! -
Child Flies Off Techno Jump in Texas

^That is also the tallest three year old I have ever seen! Look at those legs in the video, they're longer than mine! -

Restraints are meant to restrain you sure, but we all know there are several restraints that we could wiggle out of if we wanted/needed to as someone else mentioned. The whole point of varying height restrictions is so if a kid is in that smaller area and has a better chance of 'wiggling out' there's a parent/guardian there to explain to them not to do that and that's dumb and hold on to them. The brother was clearly not a responsible guardian to watch a 3 year old on a ride like that. KT's five and hasn't been on a ride like that! Remember parents, just because your kid is tall enough for a ride, doesn't mean they should ride it!!!! -

Just watched the video, and I kind of agree with the scary Texas Oil Cowboy guy! She was too young to be on that ride without an adult next to her. Didn't we just have a thread on age restrictions? Seriously, I put blame on guardians and ride op for allowing this tiny kid to sit next to another kid (not to mention failing to stop the ride when she was slipping out)! -
Robb got a survey emailed to him from Carnival today. I went and filled it out as honestly and constructively as I could. There wasn't a place to put your contact information or anything, but hopefully it was in the link and they can figure out what went wrong with our waitstaff and food on the sailing!

Universal Studios Singapore Discussion Thread
SharkTums replied to Adriel's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^Judging from the signs we saw, instructional videos, and ride op announcements I believe they went this route to stop the mainly Asian population from leaning over on the coaster and hurting themselves by smashing their face/head into the lap bar. You see this riding style all over Asia and it's not good for your body. -

^Yeah, it wasn't running last month, just sitting there ominously! Did you ride it with the new restraint? I imagine it doesn't make too much of a difference on that ride. -

^We posted about this in our Where in the World update. The second train was already done with the new OTSR's back in early February sitting in the transfer area. Sad, but apparently necessary. -

^Too soon! -
Funny thing...no comment cards. One of the ship people even told us "Oh, we don't do comment cards anymore, you'll get a survey emailed to you later". Haven't seen any survey in my inbox yet! I can only imagine some of the comments! I've left critical comments about Royal Caribbean before on the cards that I figured no one actually reads and have even gotten called a few times from an actual human to discuss.

^I was trying to talk her into joining RCCL! Actually, other than food/buffet/dining staff, most of the staff was quite decent. We had a very nice room steward, I believe Brendon was trying to convince him to go to Disney Cruise Line! The 'Cruise Director Staff' is usually pretty annoying and some don't even speak very good English on other ships, but this ship they seemed to be all American's and very friendly and fun. The cruise director himself didn't seem so great or very 'cruise director' like, but apparently he's a substitute cruise director.

Not a huge Phineas and Ferb fan, but at least this is something new! Good for Disney for staying relevant to what kids are watching. -

^It's very gentle. The back seat of Human gives you a nice pop of airtime, you don't feel too much on Cylon. -

I know that Robb is working on a full Universal Singapore Trip Report, but I can tell you my feelings. It's very good for a Vekoma, probably the best big Vekoma's out there not at a Disney park. They don't hurt, which is very nice! However, the layouts are taken VERY slowly and there aren't a lot of forces on the rides. They're a lot of fun, but no Dueling Dragons back in its heyday. -
^Sounds like you should look into the GoPro line, I think they make a ton of suction cup camera mounts.

I seriously don't know what to say. This was my 4th Carnival Cruise over the last 20 years. I can't see us ever doing one again. Like Robb said, leading up to the cruise, reading reviews and trip boards we really thought we'd end up eating some of our words always trashing Carnival, but doing this cruise actually made our opinion WORSE!!! I have never had such bad service or food on a cruise (and I've been on a lot of cruises and a lot of lines). Seriously, I'm just speechless it was so bad. I'm very happy that we have a RCCL and Disney cruise to look forward to later this year! For those of you asking, we're considering the NCL Epic as our next 'Klassy Kruise'.

^Tripsdrill got quite crowded during the day when we were there. I remember being very glad that we got there for morning ERT. I *LOVED* Klotten and their bobsled is much better than the Tripsdrill one, but Tripsdrill is probably the better park as they have more there. It is quite far out of the way though.
