Everyone always compares Cheetah Hunt to Maverick and from an enthusiast perspective I understand why as it's the same sort of system and trains but you have to remember that Busch was looking for a Python replacement (48" ride) and that's exactly what Intamin gave them. I talked to Sandor at IAAPA about this very same conversation how people always complain about Cheetah Hunt being too tame and he supports my point saying that it's exactly what Busch Gardens wanted. They didn't want a crazy insane 54" Maverick clone.

Garet's Everland/Lotte World TR's 2014/2015
SharkTums replied to Garet's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Interesting. I'm sure that after the ferry disaster the public and government are taking safety concerns VERY seriously. Hopefully they're not taking it too far. Keep us updated! -
If you listen to enthusiasts then every coaster ever built is rough. This might be the case but ride it for yourself and see... believe it or not some people think that Batman forwards is rough and that's just flat out stupid. I so agree with this. It's like an epidemic with enthusiasts. Suddenly every coaster that isn't a magic carpet ride is rough. Now Batman is rough, Maverick is rough, every wooden coaster not named El Toro is rough. Rough, rough, rough. Are we even enjoying the hobby anymore? It's not easy to enjoy a hobby that repeatedly gives you bad headaches! I don't think it's an epidemic, I think that a lot of rides are being built more half ass and existing rides aren't being taken care of as well and/or aging. Now, I've never said Batman or Maverick are rough, but there are a lot of rough rides out there and it doesn't make someone a 'bitchy enthusiast' for pointing that out.

So I think I'm now all caught up from everything. Done with all the New Years, Christmas, and Jillian tasks. Am I slow or how is everyone else doing?

I'll get the Japanese robot santa tonight so looks like I won't finish but as long as I get the Ralph costume I think I'm fine.

^The best deals on Royal Caribbean out of Port Canaveral are the 4 day cruises that go Sunday - Thursday. You can grab those 2 - 6 weeks prior during the off season for as low as $99 per person! If you have to do the 3 day weekend one the prices will be higher than the 4 day but during the off season you can still find them as low as around $200 a person.

I really feel like all of them in general. I rode quite a few the last two years and they all have this brain hurting rattle and you can't just throw your arms up and have fun. Now, it is possible that I'm spoiled by the RMC and Intamin Woodies that give you all the awesomeness of a wooden coaster plus more and none of that brain jarring pain but I really believe the rides are getting rougher. Even Thunderhead which everyone loves was getting so rough I could only do one ride on it. KT rode at least five of them this year and only wanted to ride one more than once (Kentucky Rumbler).

Hopi Hari Theme Park 2011 - Brazil
SharkTums replied to Lucas.Almeida's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I feel like Brazil doesn't really need theme parks as all of the Brazilians come to Florida for the parks! -
I haven't had any problems with the new update. How do we get the 'cogs' though?

Loved Into the Woods! I saw the show on Broadway with my mom way too long ago and I just had the biggest smile on my face watching the movie (twice now!). The 'Agony' segment is done so well that both times I've seen the show the audience has applauded after it! I'm secretly hoping for the reprise to be done as a stand alone or for the DVD! Kristen also loved it and while parts were a 'tad' sad/scary for her she loved it and is singing the music from it today.

Man killed on ropes course in Orlando, FL
SharkTums replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I wonder if any other ropes courses are closed right now due to this accident? Very scary as I throw me and KT on these all the time and when you're hooked up it feels very safe. If this is truly a failure of the mechanism it's a big deal. If this was a minimum wage employee that put the guy in the harness wrong it's upsetting but not attraction altering. I would be pretty concerned going out over the edge of the cruise ships that have these courses until the investigation is complete. -
Make sure to log in today for some free clams!

How did you get that many stockings from the shoppers? I feel like I only get 1 stocking for every 5 shoppers I kill.

Yeah I won't be getting the nativity scene either. With no more present bonuses for finishing the daily tasks I don't know how I could get up that hight.

Do kids still identify with Looney Tunes?
SharkTums replied to Samuel's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
KT knows the core Looney Tunes characters but doesn't care about them, doesn't want any merchandise of them, or any clothes with them. That is a problem as the parks could make a lot more money with characters the kids want. -
Fun Spot America Discussion Thread

^It's not sad news as it was never news or real to begin with. Remember, you have to take things you read on the internet (especially on RUMOR sites) with a mountain of salt. -
I'm assuming I should probably wait to repair the train station until I have Joe's costume?
