Screamscape don't fail me now! As I said a few pages back I would love to get Starliner. It looks like a great family woody and it might be a little rough but here in Wisonsin were used to rough woddies and steelies. The only other small family park in Wisconsin is Little Amerricka wich recently got a family woodie, and is working on another project wich I dont know if I should say too much about, since there is no way of finding out about it besides contacting the park. I geuss Riverview could be a possibility but t since they've closed all their coasters they probably arent looking for a new one. Anyway Starliner would have a nice home in Wisconsin and since Bay Beach is city operated it should have a nice long run.

Easy Question: Windows 7 User Icon Coaster?
deathbydinn replied to Emiroo's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I actually think thats Texas Tornado at Wonderland, built by Hopkins. -
If you look on the Great America site I cant find a single refrence to BBNP. Its not under themed areas, and none of the rides are listed under kids or family. If you ask me BBNP was neglected. When I went this summer we walked through to use the bathrooms and before anyone was there it was dirty and looked faded in some spots. That made me really sad because when I was little BBNP was my favorite area in the park. But if I had to pick something to replace it, it would be Little Dipper. I havent been on it, but Ive been on its mirror image clone at Little Amerricka which is a great ride and should do great in the park. EDIT: The site says there are three kids areas, but when you click on the kids map it shows all four.

Very cool! Legoland seems like a great park and Im sure this will make it better. However how will this work? Are they building a tube out of big lego blocks? -

Photo & Video TR: Kiddieland 9-26-09
deathbydinn replied to traincrossin's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Great pictures and video, the song fits the park very nicely. Im a little sad that I never got to go to Kiddieland, but atleast I'll still be able to get the credit when it opens at Great America. This park reminds me alot of Little Amerricka. Small but a place everyone enjoys. They have a few of the same rides and basically the same coaster just mirror images of each other. I hope L.A. doesnt have the same fate as Kiddieland. -
2010 Predictions
deathbydinn replied to deathbydinn's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The problem is B&M makes bigger more expensive coasters while Intamin, Vekoma, Gerstlauer, Zamperla and Mack provide cheaper, more compact and more family friendly rides. Im not saying B&M won't give us anything in 2010 but I do think they should find a way to make their rides more affordable. Look at the Intamin Zak-Spin. That isnt going to cost as much as B&M hyper or invert, its a lot more compact, and from the reviews its gotten some of them are going to be more thrilling than a B&M hyper. I mean look at Tele2 Insane. I dont remember the last time Robb gave a B&M as good of a review as he did for insane. I think B&M just need to make something a bit cheaper because with the economy like this and many parks and park chains in debt, they might not always want to spend so much money when somthing that costs half as much is more thrilling. -
What predictions do you have for the amusement industry in 2010? Mine are: 1. I think there will be a rise in Vekoma as they promote their new track and trains. Im hoping they will make sure everypark with an SLC knows about the new trains so they can all be a lot smoother. 2. The sad part is I could also see a lot of small parks closing in 2010. With so many people losing their jobs, not every family will have the money to do as many fun things and since theme parks can be quite expensive, they wont make as much money and some may have to resort to closing. So there's mine. What are your predictions? Good or bad.

^ Amen to that! I get so pissed off when my friends say, ewwww gay guys are gross or ewwwww lesbians are sick. Saying homosexuals are gross is like saying people with black hair are gross. Whats gross about something they cant control? That seems a bit childish doesn't it? Doesn't it seem childish when people say a couple are gross even though they like or love each other? It happens every day in schools but also in voting places when people vote against gay marriage. Adults are acting pretty childish and just plain stupid when they deny two people in love the right to be married. And don't use the bible as an excuse because theres a whole crap load of stuff in there that we don't listen to. If you say no gay marriage because of the bible you better not be doing anything else it says not to. That felt good to get out.

PTR: Gary's 2009 Florida Finale!!!
deathbydinn replied to carolinacaniac's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Thanks Elissa, that is very screwed up. As for the park itself it seems very nice. The outside looks a bit ghetto but the inside looks great. Seems like a good place to kill a few hours and get a credit on a big dragon wagon. -

Did you go the two rides in the third picture? It looks like those are the Moser versions of a Giant Frisbee and Top Spin and from watching IAAPA videos they're supposed to have some good g-forces on them. Do they? -

Great pictures and report. The last PTR I saw of Rainbows Ends it looked pretty ghetto, but it looks like they have cleaned up the place and now it looks great. The log ride was pretty funky and trippy. Anyway the park as a whole is very nice and seems to be a hidden gem. -
Since I just got into coasters last year I wont be able to answer a lot of them. - Favorite new coaster - Hades - Most memorable park moment - The little kids harrasing me and my friend at Mt. Olympus - Most memorable coaster moment - 10 laps around Meteor at Little Amerricka - Best ERT session - At Little Amerricka the whole parks was ERT, no waits for anything - Least favorite coaster - Opa - Least favorite ride - Little Dipper at Little Amerricka - Least favorite park - Don't have one - Your favorite TPR moment (favorite post, trip report, video, whatever!) - Anything said by Chris - The best meal you've had at a park - Anything at Disney - The worst meal you've had at a park - SFGAM fries, cold and soggy - What was the biggest trend of this past decade? Steep drops and coaster that keep getting taller and faster

deathbydinn replied to montezooma's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
What was that at three minutes in the first Cyclone video? It looks like its powered by the riders. Sorry if they answered this in the video my computer is slow and takes for every to load videos so I didnt see the whole thing. -
1. For everything you get its a great price. 2. It would be cool if premium members could get DVDs before non-paying members. Maybe give them a few days to order and then ship them all out before they are available for everyone. 3. Yes, very much so. 4. Can't think of a reson why I wouldnt be interested. 5. I think it is a great idea and is just one more thing that makes the site great. Maybe one thing you could offer mainly for the younger members or people that are low on money, is taking off the store credit and having it coast $25 instead of $40.

Favorite Crowd-Interactive Coasters
deathbydinn replied to PKI Jizzman's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Hades and Cyclops at Mt. Olympus. Its fun to stand by the turn on the last drop of Cyclops. With Hades your always by the coaster. If your on the ground the track circles around you and when your on the stairs its about a foot from your face. -
Those are awesome! I actually really like the last one. The blurrinness makes it look kinda said wich is good because it is said that BBW is now gone. Since this is something I'm interested in, could someone tell me how you get everything in black & white except for one color?
-
I posted that! Now that I read it I should have worded it differently. I was just trying to get the point across that they werent just Disney lovers but also coaster enthusiasts. If they didn't like Disney they probably would have gotten married at a different theme park.
