  1. Even if the Midway was small, it had a better collection of rides than any fair I've been to.
  2. I've never had a funnel cake before, but I do know they mix well with theme parks. I have been wanting to try one so if the ones there a good I'll try one.
  3. Since Avatar and Fairly Odd coaster seem to be the lowest capacity I'll do those first. How's the shooting dark ride?
  4. I wish I was going to Valleyfair. Being the only coaster lover in the family I'm lucky if I get to go to one park on a trip. Three more years until I can drive and then I'll be going up to parks as much as I can.
  5. Thanks for the heads up. That was one I was planning to ride but not one that I really want to ride like the Jimmy Neutron thing or the Tak Atack. Do you ever really go upside down on that ride or just close to upside down?
  6. Thanks guys. I'll make sure to get to the park at night and get lots of pictures of it. If the lines were that short on a Saturday they should be really short on a Thursday. Plus Minnesota has school and I don't hehehe. Anyways thanks again. I hate going somewhere completely clueless and since this is my first time going to the mall I'll check out what you reccomended! - DBD
  7. On Thursday October 29 I will be going up to the MOA for the first time. I have a few questions about the rides and mall in general. - How long were the ride waits when you went? I'm trying to figure out about how much time the theme park needs. - Does the log flume get you really wet? I don't want to be walking around wet all day. - Other than the theme park what else is really worth checking out in the mall. I'm planning to do the ropes course but what about the mini golf, mirror maze and stuff like that. - How crowded does the mall get usually? Any other tips would be great and I will post a PTR when I get back. Thanks for the help.
  8. This post card has a little mistake. How exactly are they getting seven inversions?
  9. Are we really going to start saying that a great new ride we got should go somewhere else? Would you like to send Raging Bull to SFSTL? I know you're saying that other parks may have needed more but each new park is getting a major attraction in 2011. They could get something ten times greater than Buccaner Battle.
  10. ^ Yes that's Robbs voice and TPR Footage they let the show use.
  11. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=45278&highlight=dusseldorf It's a really good and detailed TR which is why I thought you had posted it.
  12. I found what I was looking for. Turns out your right, it wasn't Robb who posted it, I'm just stupid. Mods feel free to lock the thread.
  13. I am looking for a Tr made by Robb at a German fair. It was one of those really big fairs that I think was in Dusseldorf. I've searched and can't find it anywhere and it's driving me insane. If you find it please give me the link.
  14. I gotta get on that bird-cage ride. It does look very cramped though. Sorry if someone already said this but isnt an SNL reference?
  15. Whats your worst theme park experience? Did they say all rides were open when half of them were closed? Was the whole park filled with school kids who think they know everything about the ride your waiting for? It doesn't have to be the whole day but something that happened that makes you wanna pull out your hair and scream. My worst time was at Little Amerricka when my friend ran to some ride, not waiting for other people to get off the ride, and then backed out at the last second. He left me on an airplane kiddy ride and went up to the parachute, sat down and then got off and ran to the bouncy house. He also took us 20 minutes to get throught the haunted house because every 10 seconds he ran out. If you've been in that haunted house you'll know why thats sad. That really annoyed me and I didn't let it ruin my day but it did piss me off. (It doesn't seem THAT bad but I haven't been to a lot of parks so I don't have a lot of stories to share) Now it's your turn. Whats your worst theme park experience?
  16. ^ Actually that coaster was in the newest Japan update and Robb said it was awesome.
  17. At Mt. Olympus in line for Hades I met a very odd perso named Tom who seemed like a coaster freak but he was dumb in the fact that he thought wooden coasters could only be 90 feet tall. Anyway while waiting he starting calling random people the "fag gang" and said he was gonna push them out of the car at the 90 foot drop off. After he said that so many times I got mad and said, "What freakin' 90 foot drop off?" Him: The big one up there! Me: Thats not 90 feet its 150. Fag Gang: You just got pwned by a little dude. Also when getting off that ride when our seatbelt was way too tight making the ride horribly rough I got off and said, "Holy frick" Then I heard someone say, " That kid just came up to me and said holy f***k...laughter. Also while waiting for Hades some little kids starting calling me and my friend stupid, ugly, retards, my friends shoes bisquits (WTF?) and they put an ant on his shoulder and thought it was the most hilarious thing in the worl. The little one also told me to turn around so he can kick me in the crotch. Really made the time pass.
  18. ^^ LOL Like Robb said this could be a good move if they can replace it with something good. If they just plop down another pool and lazy river or something lame people probably won't be that happy. The park needs to pull this off right. Six Flags doesn't make many dark rides but when they do they seem great (Monster Mansion) They could do good with a themed water slide like Schilliterbahn (or how ever it's spelled) has. If they want to keep it a theme and water park they need to kick it up. I think it will probably end up as a water park with maybe a few rides incase of bad weather. -- DBD
  19. I do feel bad that SFKK is losing it's biggest ride. The park wasn't doing great so they needed that. I think SFKK will probably end up being just a water park. That is what they are losing Chang for so it probably won't stop there. When even was the last time Twisted Twins or whatever it's called was open?
  20. Reality15 basically said what I did but got his in first. I'm still leaving mine beacause it has some good points. It is really worth getting mad over this if we don't even know if we're getting it or not?
  21. SAME is the keyword. If a park got two of the same coasters like Animal Kingdom people might think its weird but it would speed up the line. If they're DIFFERENT rides people aren't going to make a big deal out of it. Would you really be mad if Great Adventure got a new, big floorless coaster, or if SFMM got a new, big B&M invert or if SFOG got a new, big hyper coaster. If you say parks can only have one of each type of coaster say goodbye to one track of each racing coaster, SFMM would only have one reverse drop tower, Animal Kingdom would lose one Primeval Whirl and Magic Kingdom would lose one side of Space Mountain and the list goes on. It's okay to have two stand-up coasters. It's also good for people who aren't ready for the big rides. If they're not sure about Chang because its stand up, Iron Wolf is smaller so they would be able to get the stand up experience. The only people who would really be mad about us getting Chang is the people in Kentucky. How many of you would be really mad if we lost the space shuttle and go-karts for Chang?
  22. How exactly are Iron Wolf and Chang the same? Just because they are both stand ups that doesn't make them the same ride.
  23. ^ The company doesn't matter. The rides are completely different. The GP isn't going to Mt. Olympus has 5 coasters built by the same company. The rides are different, that's what matters.
