  1. Hmmmm...well, theres the expression about broken records and saying something over and over, so that leads me to think three things: 1. The ride features the same element multiple times. 2. It's a very common ride found in many parks. 3. It's a B&M since it's been said that they're coasters are all very similar or repetitive.
  2. All will be revealed soon enough! http://www.latimes.com/travel/deals/themeparks/la-trb-seaworld-san-diego-manta-01201111,0,2419003.story?track=rss
  3. Strange..first this.. http://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=484155976355&id=100001505353460 Then this.. http://twitter.com/#!/SixFlags/status/24577454744014850
  4. How exactly is Medusa a flying coaster? Besides, neither of them was the first. This was. http://www.rcdb.com/2380.htm
  5. Speaking of Sea Worlds San Diego's 2012 coaster... http://dodgeprojects.construction.com/Sea-World-Manta-Exhibit---Ride-Attraction-2012-Carpentry---Millwork---California_stcVVproductId110042886VVcatId546259VVviewprod.htm
  6. I really hope they give Apocalypse a proper sign. All they did was slap a new one over the old one, you can still see the Termination sign! I know it isn't really a huge deal, but I just like major rides to have really nice signs and entrances. It's just something that plays a role in the experience I have at said park.
  7. The prizes aren't the colored balls. You have to go for the prizes, or the balls with prizes in them... At least I was told that the colored balls aren't prizes! From the note Robb posted...
  8. An employee just threw a ball in only for it to bounce off the wall and go right down the prize chute. Wonder if the machine will count the person as a winner and if they'll end up getting it. That would be quite cool, to win without doing anything especially since they didn't get one themselves!
  9. I saw a skateboard get stuck on the actual claw. One of the arms was wedged in between the wheel and deck of the board.
  10. The only international show I watch is Doctor Who which I have really gotten into. I find it be a good combination of a smart, well thought out show with great (sometimes confusing) plots and aliens and other nerdy stuff but also with some witty and funny things thrown in. I've become a bit obsessed as of late spending lots of time learning about it and having hours of it recorded thanks to two very long marathons on BBCAmerica!
  11. In line right now with Elissa behind me and another TPR member in front of me! ^^^^ Great read, I loved how they just did it for fun. I haven't seen any ads on the site, it's free to play, shipping is free, and they had to pay to construct, operate, stock the machine and run the site, I can't imagine they would really have a cash flow from this. Just something fun for everyone to take part in and maybe even win a prize. Being in world we live in now with people losing money, and things becoming more and more expensive, I just find it really awesome that they made this and than ran it for free!
  12. I belive many coasters in Japan have catwalks throughout the whole course so if needed the train can be accessed at any point of the ride.
  13. While I haven't personally won anything I have seen a few people win, so it definitely is possible! The balls are just to make the game easier, the prizes are inside of them. In the prize info it says, "Don't get too attached to the giant plastic bubble, we recycle 'em," so maybe you're supposed to send them back? I wonder if you'll even end up with the same prize you won. If you see someone win the balls just fall out of the machine and into a pile on the floor, seems like it would be hard to give everyone what they won, especially with so many of the balls being the same.
  14. Just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for the massive amount of POVs that have been uploaded recently, especially since a lot of them are from parks that don't really get a lot of coverage. And sure not all of them are the most amazing rides ever, but the riders reactions and the commentary makes these more interesting for me to watch than silent POVs of some of the worlds best rides! All these videos are very much appreciated.
  15. Link? For those of you that have brought up the Rocky Mt. treatment, do you think would benefit from just some track topper, or more along the lines of the full on TG treatment? I ask because I've heard many times that it used to be an amazing ride, so I'm wondering if the general attitude is should it be brought back to what it used to be (TT) or redeveloped into a new experience (TG).
  16. ^ Six Flags Great America you should definitely check out. I've heard from a lot of people that they find it to be one of the best Six Flags. It has a great mix of all types of rides, (water, family, thrill, etc..) and park itself has some decent theming, is clean and I've personally never ran into a problem with a rude employee. Lines generally aren't horrible with the exception of Superman. If you do go to Mount Olympus you have to go to Timber Falls (just down the road) and ride their coaster. It's has great pacing and airtime. It's insane. If you're in to water rides they have a great flume to and their thrill ride, (a Spin Doctor) is also a ton of fun! There is also a FEC, Knuckleheads nearby which has a kiddie coaster if you're enough of whore. About an hour from the Dells is Little Amerricka. If it's on your way, stop by and ride the 4 coasters. The park is cheap and you could be in and out in 15 minutes. And their one thrilling flat, Test Pilot, is an insane, old, janky roll-o-plane, tons of fun. If it's not on your way though, it's nothing worth driving too far for. Their best coaster is a mirror image of SFGAM's Little Dipper, (but LA's is much better) and all the coaster are clones, so you wouldn't be missing anything you can't just ride somewhere else. Still a nice park IMO, but I can't really justify going too far out of the way for it.
  17. I'm in Chrome and it's not working, still says coming soon.
  18. I don't remember riding Eagle that day, and I was with you a good majority of the day. We rode Eagle after Griffin and I went in the Wiggles World fountains. Hehe...wonder if Nathans gotten any strange calls! On topic - Thanks for sharing these, this was my first TPR event and I had an absolutely amazing time so it's always great to see pictures of it. Anxious to hear you're review of Bull, I know you said they things you heard about it were wrong, but I don't really know what you heard. (But it's pretty easy to geuss they weren't good things. )
  19. Hades needs Timberliners. Zeus needs more retracking. Iron Wolf needs B&M trains.
  20. I'll join. Do you want us to keep tracks similar to what Intamin has made or can we advance off of what they've made with say, a launched bobsled or something of that sort?
  21. ^ I edited my post to explain why I thought to look there.
  22. Your Club TPR banner leads to the dead end photo. Edit: I found it because the photo is taken beneath the road, so I thought the picture would be somewhere beneath your post with the post symbolizing the road.
  23. Ummm..no? The park is already open..
  24. That same company also makes Wild Mouse rip offs, but theirs do have slightly different layouts than the real things. http://rcdb.com/8766.htm?p=24146 http://rcdb.com/3680.htm?p=24702
