  1. Really glad to hear Kinetix is coming back, I loved it last year and thought it was a really great way to end the day. Definitely a must see!
  2. SFSTL had the same type of swing ride that they removed for their Sky Screamer, so it probably could fit there.
  3. I really like how they're adding this and the family racing coaster, I think it's great when parks do that so when family's go to the park there's something new for the adults and older kids, and for the younger ones.
  4. I hope thats completely untrue, as I don't see how that would benefit either park. Great America has room as well for a new coaster, (especially if its something that can fit in IW footprint) and I don't see something like IW being able to pull in good crowds for SFA, because it really can't compete with the coasters near by parks are adding. Plus, I just don't want to lose it
  5. ^I've seen the aqua ball things in quite a few places in the U.S. The balls didn't look as cool, but we still have them.
  6. ^ I belive what you're thinking of was that it was believed they might not be able to say Green Lantern in commercials that advertise the Coke can promotion, because the moves sponsored by Pepsi. Whatever issue might have been was resolved and shouldn't affect the rides name or theming.
  7. In other news SFAFans posted some photos of the newly re-opened Zoomazoon Falls. http://www.sfafans.com/showthread.php?p=32777#post32777 I think it looks fantastic and SF did another really job on this addition/revamping. Some of the names are a bit odd, but at least the GP got what it wanted!
  8. I'm a bit sad to see this, as I always thought Skull Mountain looked pretty interesting and had some nice theming. At least the park straight out confirmed that something would go there, and while it might not be a new coaster or ride of any type, something is better than nothing.
  9. Some good news about Riptide Rescue; longer ride time and brackets are only temporary! http://www.screamscape.com/html/seaworld_california.htm
  10. ^ Yeah, how dare they make you wait another two weeks. Rides have problems, SFGAM's Deja Vu didn't open until October of its first year, and thats a park thats only open until October! Hell, even MM's roller skater took two years! You're getting a kick ass new coaster that can't be ridden anywhere else in America. I think you can handle another 14 days
  11. This was such a fantastic park and I really loved how you ended it, so much better than having the park destroyed or run into money problems or anything like that. Perhaps because there isn't a download, we could get POVs of the coasters? I'd really love to see the full layouts as well as the extra things that we don't normally see. Can't wait to see what comes next, I'm sure it will be great!
  12. It's nice that you gave some effort into making it look nice, but the random drop at the end and no brakes going into the station make unrealistic.
  13. Poltergeist and Roar are fine, but I don't really like Ultra Twister or Bugs Bunnys Wild Run, they just both seem very unrealistic for the type of coaster they're supposed to be. The rest of the park looks nice though with great buildings, just think those two coasters need some reworking!
  14. I've been pleasantly surprised with how nice Six Flag's 2011 additions look, and this is my favorite so far. I'm happy the switched from the Mr. Six theme to this, because I don't think it would have looked half as nice. Really excited now to see how DC Universe turns out!
  15. This really made me face-palm... In my art class, some kids where talking about the upcoming choir trip to Six Flags Great America, and then one of them asked someone at my table, "Do you know where the carousel is?" I know that the GP won't have the park memorized, but cmon, the carousel is the first thing you see when you walk in, and it's not even hidden away or anything, its the parks centerpiece!
  16. Rocco from the Coaster Crew upload a media day video, that shows the ZP as well as a few other rides around the park: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWy8BIkOi9g Fox 11 uploaded a front seat pov:
  17. Sorry if this was brought up before, but the California's Great America page lists the website from when it was owned by Paramount.
  18. TPR day was incredible. I really like the Bull pictures from the backstage tour, it just looks so funky from that angle! I agree that no amount of pictures could capture the bridge party. Even if ERT had been cancelled, it still would have been a really great way to end the night.
  19. Coaster Crew member/In the Loop host Rocco posted an opening day video with some Riptide Bay and Go Kart updates, as well as some other nice views around the park. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F58uYaZNK3k
  20. I didn't notice the cell phone box by any other coaster except Batman, but I wasn't really looking though. Wouldn't it make more sense to put them by the lo.ckers though and not halfway through the line? The Dark Knight thing seems a bit odd though, I'll have to remember to check it out the next time I go.
  21. http://twitter.com/#!/Coasterdude5 Referring to SFSC? Perhaps this park will have a Hershey Hawaii type ending!
  22. Same here, I have no self discipline.
