EDIT: Videos removed by Holiday World Well, so much for the early morning announcement! Loving the raft style tubes on a water coaster though. -

^ I don't think that was meant to be a clue, just a pun. -

I apologize if this is already common knowledge, but I don't recall seeing it posted it in here yet. The park will be announcing the 2012 additions on Ustream, at 11 AM CDT. Online Streaming I'll definitely be watching, I haven't been following the project too closely, but the park saying its a "new twist on a classic ride" has me very intrigued. -
Carowinds Discussion Thread

Carowinds is beginning to tease their 2012 addition. Their website has this as an alternating picture. Scanning the code, will lead you to this. Any ideas how the two could be connected? -
It's great to hear that Wooden Warrior is doing so well. Quassy looks like such a nice small park and hopefully WW can help put them on the map. I'm a little bummed they took out the Mouse, as I've wanted to ride a Monster Mouse model for a while, but those water play areas are great fun and will probably attract more families than the mouse could.

You'd think they'd be smart enough to wait until its actually announced. Hopefully the announcement will have a few other surprises we can look forward to. About the Read to Succed..when does the park start getting busy from that? I was thinking of going within the next few days, mainly for IW, V2 and YC, but I'll wait a while if it'll be super busy.

I'm hoping IW spot will be used for the next coaster. I think the SWF spot could be better used for some flat rides, or maybe a smaller sized coaster and a flat ride. There is always the old Magic-Quest building, is that used for anything? I heard it was going to be a Season Pass processing, but every time I went past it was just empty with no signs of life. If there tore down the building they could fit a flat(s) in it's spot and leave both the IW and SWF areas open for coasters.

Mirabilandia Discussion Thread
deathbydinn replied to momo1tx's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Do we know if they'll allow you to ride both sides without getting off? I know the one at Dennlys does, but with Mirabilandia being a much more major park, they could chose not to for capacity reasons. The theming and station looks pretty nice, I do hope they'll put some grass or astro-turf down to cover the steel frame work though. -
^ Last year was the first time I went to Fright Fest. and for the most part, I was disapointed. On a lighter note, a new clue has been released! http://www.facebook.com/#!/SFGreatAmerica Hmm, so somethings returning. If this is for Fright Fest, what have they done before that ended? AE backwards, hanuted train, red water in the rapids?
-
This announcement could have something to do with Fright Fest, they never said it was for next years addition, just something big. Or maybe it's a joined announcement? I know GRAms FF is pretty big as is, but there's been rumors of SFSTL and SFOG's Fright Fests expanding, and doing more ride rethemes, so maybe thats what part of this is about, more ride rethemes and Eagle blue having a backwards car?

1. Its not like you had to see the movie for the ride to make sense. All you need to know is who the Batman and Joker are. 2. Please tell me you're joking 3. So the signs, newspaper stands, computer room and joker face Tv aren't theming? Sure it's not immersive, but it's a heck of alot better than most other queues in the park. 4. Not really sure how the Joker taking over a press confrence was confusing..but you don't even watch the pre-show anymore. 5. When you only see them for a few seconds, they aren't gonna spend a ton of money on them. Atleast they keep them well mainted. 6. Everytime I've ridden they've been running it at pretty high capacity, but its a mouse, so slower waits are kind of a given. 7 Okay, I'll give you that. A few sections are mostly dark. Really, as much as people complain about DK, when this was added SF didn't do highly themed coasters. Look at Rajun Cajun, if they themed one mouse they could theme another, but is bare as a bone! I think for just started to do more theming, SF did a really nice job with the Dark Knights. Now that they're started to theme coasters more, maybe it'll be bad by their standards someday. But for no, its really not that bad a ride and IMO looks much nicer then the cardboard cut-out theming on the Disney mouses.
