  1. ^ I wouldn't say nobody wants one, I would say it's the price. At TPR Day @ SFGAM, the parks GM told us that if he could install any coaster he wanted, it would be a dive machine, but Six Flags might not want to spend that much on one coaster. So I'd say it's more the price, not that there's no interest.
  2. ^ Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I read it was 5 years after SheiKra and one year added for each they built, meaning with Griffon it would be six years, and end this year, so one could be built for 2012. Could be insanely far from the truth, just what I read.
  3. Hmm, I've had a differen't story about that. I've read that SFGAm was originally going to get a Mr. Freeze clone, but they couldnt get permission to built it in that spot, so, Mr. Freeze was sent to SFSTL, and Raging Bull wich was planned for SFSTL, was brought to GAm instead. SFSTL even started making RB merch.. Link On the topic of Great America, lets not forgot the whole Chang saga...
  4. Kinda surprisingly, the comments on Darien's Facebook have been pretty understanding of the situation and not automatically assuming the ride is unsafe.
  5. Does the name have a colon or hyphon in it? If not, I'll geuss Hundeprutterutchebane.
  6. Just gonna go out on a wimb, could it be Speed - The Ride?
  7. Has it been operating for more than 10 years?
  8. Are you thinking of a steel coaster?
  9. ^While that would be cool, Flying coasters take longer to load and unload than Floorless coasters, so if it was something like Dueling Dragons, it would take the capacity down on the floorless coaster. However, if they had one side (the floorless) be longer, higher, etc, so they could dispatch at different times but still have dueling elements, that could be quite cool and unique.
  10. ^ Yet both parks got Windseekers and CP is said to be getting a dinosaurs alive. Just because the two parks are close, does not mean that everyone who goes to one will go to the other. CP will most likely not add a flyer for capacity reasons, not because of Firehawk. That's like saying Diamondback shouldnt have been built because theres a hyper at Cedar Point..
  11. I found something that could be added to the list, Flamingo Land added a new custom Zamperla Air Force coaster called Zooom! for 2011. http://rcdb.com/9662.htm
  12. Quoted for truth. I do love our mini golf games, surprised no ones been injured yet... And you were smart to skip the go karts, very slow and was really more of a car ride than go - karts! All in all, good day with some very interesting mini golf and haunted house experiences.
  13. Here's a Screamscape article about prices and how the system is implimented. http://screamscape.com/html/six_flags_over_georgia.htm
  14. For the free day in Tampa, there is a very nice zoo not too far from Busch called Lowry Park Zoo. The zoo itself is fantasic with great animal enclosures, and has a sky ride, log flume, and a even a credit. Here's my PTR from my visit last year: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=914955#p914955
  15. ^ That coaster was already answered, we're on the coaster I posted above ^^^.
  16. ^ I know the ride itself is old, but it's only been at CGA for three years now. I would hope that before just jumping to removing it it could recieve a major over-haul or even replace the whole ride itself instead of completely losing the ride. I really have no clue how popular it is, but I was always happy to see it added since it somewhat helps the two Great America's stay somewhat related, like in the Marriot days, although obviously, not to the same degree. But, I do just love a good top spin, so I'd hate to see one leave any park.
  17. Or maybe it's because Europeans would be smart enough not to stick their arms off to the side and then sue the park when they get a bruise.
  18. Why don't they just build a pernament bridge that the boats can go under? Or partner with SyFy and make it Dinoshark Alive and have that attack the boat!
  19. ^ The one at Kentucky Kingdom is the one originally from Great America in Gurnee Il, not CGA. AstroWorld's is still in Texas at Joyland where it's been since 2006. I belive they intend to re-construct it, it just hasn't happened yet.
